Can anyone explain how to turn on automatic jake brake? I trained on a Volvo and that one was pretty simple. I know that here you turn on the jake with the lever on the right side 3 different levels but I'm looking for the option where the jake brake only comes on when you apply the regular brakes like in the Volvo.

It;s been some time since I updated my system because I was comfortable in it but I wanted to update it.

To "fix" the dependency conflict I just removed nerd-fonts-meta and replaced the fonts.

I have a question on gear ratio. What’s the best ratio for fuel economy on a Freightliner Cascadia or International LT with a 12 speed automatic. Driving through Colorado regularly cruise speed around 70-75MPH

No really good description or problem from the driver, just a comment about his inverter not working. Apparently he spaced the service manual for the inverter so I’m going in blind. I inspected both the inverter switch in the bunk and at the inverter test and restart switches. Both aren’t getting power or showing power. What are the next or possibly next steps?

Trucking - been in business for 4 years. Looking for partners to grow and expand. Doing intermodal work. I’m thinking of a new avenue within the trucking industry to fund the actual trucking company. I’ve acquired two trucks an 2015 freightliner cascadia DAYCAB and a 2016 Peterbilt 579 DAYCAB but recently lost the peterbilt due to an electrical problem with the batteries that the mechanics did. Truck cost $120,000 couldn’t find a lawyer that wanted to take the case so I cut my losses. I’m looking for serious partners that have a passionate interest/drive for trucking.

So last night my truck started bucking and skipping some gears whenever I decelerate. Driving and up shifting there are no problems, just only when I’m braking. Could it be my transmission? I have a coolant leak coming from the radiator. 2019 Freightliner Cascadia. Can’t drive more than 60 secs without truck shutting down. Been trying to get a mobile mechanic out to me since 7 pm yesterday and no luck. I’m stuck in Henderson. Anyone have good recommendations?

I’m talking like the Freightliner Cascadia, Kenworth T680, Peterbilt 589 and etc like that, especially those that have sleeper versions

Got placed into a newer Freightliner Cascadia P4 last week. The optimized idle that automatically starts and charges the batteries when the voltage is low ran damn near all night. The voltage when I was driving it last week was jumping around in the 12-13 range instead of the 13.8-14.1 that my other trucks have been, and then on Monday when I was driving in the rain, I got a load shedding warning on my dash, which normally I would only get with the engine off and the electrical accessories on. Voltage that day with the lights and wipers on was still jumpy but dropped down below 12.
Took it to the company shop and got a loaner truck for the week, they called me and left a message Wednesday and said it was good to go, and when I got to the terminal today and asked what specifically was done on it, they told me that it passed all the tests they ran on it and that they didn't do anything else to it.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and what was the solution? My first guess was a bad alternator or some sort of phantom parasitic drain, now I'm thinking/hoping it's just the electrical connection between the batteries and that I can fix that relatively easy myself. I'm at home now so I'll have to take a look when I go back to work. The company tells us we aren't supposed to work on our own trucks and instead to bring them to the shop, of course. . .

In the last 3 days I've had 5 moths (the freaking huge kind) enter my truck overnight. I promise you I'm not tracking these things in, and I hardly ever leave the windows down. The only thing I can think of is the ac ducts blowing air in under the bunk, because when I got this truck I noticed it had plastic bags shoved into them (which I removed because I thought they were oddly placed). It's a 2020 freightliner cascadia, anyone ever have such an issue with them?

Hey does anyone know how to put the gps on the big main screen in the default freightliner cascadia because the only gps options I get in the truck configurator is the phones. And that spot in the middle is just always empty and there’s no option to add navigation on it. Thanks

Think about it…most of the swift trucks are the Cascadia and the brand Swift speaks for itself…we had a cascadia struck by a bright line train recently and then i just seen some cascadia stuck because the driver tried to drive through a flooded roadway 🤯 If the Freightliner Cascadia isn’t the Nissan Altima of semi trucks then what is?
