Im currently 16f(mtf) and for the past 3 years of my life ive lied further and further into a pit. It began with a guy called Isaac, me and him dated after i came out to him and he was like a beacon of light for me. After a while he changed and i didnt want to be with him so we broke up, we remained friends for the time being just didnt date. Until i decided to spread rumours about him being a zoophile and raping me. He doesnt know aboit these but people avoid him and its destroyed his social life.
After that i stopped for about 6 months until i met a girl by the name of Lottie, she was 3 yeats older than me and we'd only spoken once but for some reason i decided to spread the idea to some people that id slept with her. This has also led to people avoiding her and she no longer attends school on a regular basis.
It was shortly after this that I met my current gf by the name of Emily(not real name), and i lied to her about an ex named Florence who took her own llife, something that didnt happen to someone who doesnt exist but people believe it. This has led me to my current scenario, i love Enily with all my heart but she knows me on fake stories that she pitied and i dont know what to do, im a piece of shit but i want to continue being so shitty if it means i get to be with her.

Hey all. Recently started looking into making my own batteries. Never done it before, but it doesn't look too difficult to do at all.
Hurricane season is coming up and I have some older DIY Led Panels I made years back that use some rechargeable 12V batteries I got off amazon. They work good. Very bright, however run times aren't that long, or at least I'd rather them be longer for emergencies.
I had someone ask me how much I'd charge to make them 2 of these panels since during one of the hurricanes they had no power or lights for about 2 weeks. So I figured I'd see if I can make some that are brighter (better strips these days) and last longer at full brightness.
So I found some new LED light strips on amazon.
2.4 watts per foot. I plan on using 5 feet (5 x 12in strips) per panel.
So each panel will use 12 watts each. They're all 12v as well.
So 12 watts / 12 volts = 1A of power usage.
I want the lights to be able to run for at least 10 hours if need be. So the goal is a 12V 10A+ battery.
From the week of research that I did, here's what I figured I'd need to do this.
3S5P Battery using 18650 cells with at least 2500mah (2.5) of capacity each.
This should yield me a 12.6V 12.5AH battery. The extra 2.5AH would be headroom for inefficiencies, since energy transfer is never 100%.
I made some notes during my research, planned out some parts, and drafted up a rough diagram of how I'd like to make these batteries. Essentially looking for some advice, opinions, recommendations, or any heads up for things I might not be considering or may have overlooked.
My main thing is to be sure the lights have a consistent 12v so the brightness stays consistent throughout the duration of the batteries power usage. So I added a Boost Converter in the diagram to boost the output voltage, so it maintains 12v as the battery goes down in voltage or power left. I also added a plan for a 12V battery meter to monitor the input voltage into the boost converter, so that I can have a relative idea on the battery percentage or level remaining. And of course a dimmer for brightness adjustment too.
I haven't thought of anything for the housing after adding some wrapping around the battery and what not. So any ideas for that would be cool! Currently looking for a cheap source of batteries and I found that Modem Battery Backups are pretty good for cells that haven't been used often or at all, at cheaper costs too.
For charging ill have a barrel connector that can be swapped out in between the boost converter and the power switch.
So all in all, from what I researched, this seems like it should work out.

Also had a couple questions...

• How do you balance cells? - Do you just use a charger to charge them up to full capacity, then make sure you match them close as possible to the 4.2v?
• What about the capacity of each cell? Say one is at 2000mah and the other is at 2300mah, can you still use those two in the same battery pack that you're making? Or would you need to make sure both the max volts and max capacity match as close as possible?
• How do you know if you can use two different cells without knowing their cycle count? Is it okay to mix different brands / batteries from diff sources? (Ex: power drill batt cells mixed with modem backup battery cells) or should you only keep them together based off their sources to ensure cycle count is matched?
• And for cycle count/mah capacity concerns... wouldn't a BMS handle that anyway? I know you shouldn't replace a bad cell in a battery with a new one, while the rest are used, but I'm curious about the examples/questions I brought up.

Sometimes my pc wont boot up. Power turns on but wouldn't even open past the bios page, still only see black screen. However, once I press the restart button or turn off my pc and re-plug everything, my pc will boot up and work perfectly. The red and orange led lights are now also gone.
It is really annoying having to repeat this progress every time i want to boot up my pc. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Hi, as the title says, my girlfriend and I are supposed to move in together, but I feel like we have unresolved issues and moving in together won’t fix them, or at least most of them. I guess I should start at the start, and I’ll try not to make things too one sided, as I know most people are inclined to agree with the author of the post as it’s from their point-of-view, so don’t be afraid to push back on everything I have written, I am writing to get peoples opinions, be them agreeing with me or not agreeing with me. Also, sorry about all the text, I sometimes ramble, so each section has a TL/DR if you like.
I’ll start from the start, my girlfriend (who I’ll name Christine here) and I have been together for two years come September. I love her very much and I know she loves me. We met online (as ya do these days) and I was instantly attracted to how warm and thoughtful she was. Christine seemed to take an interest in what I might be interested in and put in the effort to plan dates around these things. She lives in an apartment with her sister, and is more central to town, where as I live in the suburbs, about a 15-20 minute drive away from her, although sometimes more in rush hour. She is very emotional, which is a pretty big contrast compared to my last ex, who either bottled things in or was more suppressed, whereas my current girlfriend will tell me how she is feeling from one hour to next it seems.
A little background on me prior to this relationship, TL/DR at the bottom of this paragraph:
I moved to this town about 6 years ago with my ex (who I’ll call Meg here), and at the time I bought a house when I moved here. Meg was never on the mortgage and I paid for most of the large house expenses, although we did split some of the other bills, like internet, heating, and small house renovations. In that time the company I was supposed to start work with laid off the entire team before my contract started, basically leaving me jobless and with a mortgage. I was quite stressed for a little bit, but was able to set up freelance and full-time work 4 months later. In that time I also started working on projects for myself, and one of them went well and I have been able to work full-time for myself for the past 4 and a half years. This basically makes me my own boss with my own hours, although I do like to keep a regular 9-5 Monday to Friday work schedule. Although I sometimes start later and work later, and on crunch weeks can pull pretty long hours (12 hour days including weekends), but I’ve gotten better with that for the most part. To make a long story short here, Meg and I got engaged after 5 years being together, but we broke up and she left me. In that time we adopted 5 pets, two dogs and 3 cats, she took 2 of the cats and I kept the other animals, leaving me with the house, two dogs, and 1 cat, which is still my current situation. I love my dogs very much and I treat them like my children, but they can be a lot sometimes. They’re a very needy breed, although they keep each other company which is nice. I paid Meg a lump-sum of money at the time to avoid any legal complications, and the statute of limitations has run out if she wanted to try to take more money for the house. Meg ended up getting married to someone 3 months after we broke up, and as far as I know they’re still together, but I have no contact with her, nor do I ever go on social media to see. I’m not huge on using social media, since I use it for my job, I really don’t like using it too much for me personally, although I do like to look at TV clips from shows I like on Instagram haha.
TL/DR for my background: Was in a relationship, bought a house, relationship broke up, I kept 2 dogs and 1 of the cats and was able to keep the house. I work for myself after losing my job, but still work a relatively normal work schedule that is somewhat flexible.
Now that there’s a little bit of background I should get into the meat and potatoes. Christine and I have been having communication issues, which I feel have become more prominent with the planned dates of moving into together. I feel like a lot of these issues have come up in the past, and we talked about them, but some of them are recurring, and I fear moving in together will not be a good way to solve most of them.
Issue 1: The house and how my girlfriend feels about it
It’s a pretty simple house in a quiet neighbourhood, is only one floor and two bedrooms, but is a pretty good amount of space for two people, especially since there is an attached garage and backyard. One of the bedrooms is my office and the other is, well, the bedroom. I have a living room and kitchen, and my hallway has a large closet that houses the washer and dryer. I and my ex did renovate some things, and since she moved out I continued to change some stuff, but am pretty happy with my house, although still have some bigger projects, like a bathroom renovation that I’d like to do at some point. Most people who I first show my house to usually say things like it’s really cute or this place is sweet, things of that nature, although Christine hasn’t really complimented it much. At one point she asked me if I planned to stay in my house forever, and I responded that if that was the case it wouldn’t bother me. Although I don’t necessarily think I’ll be in this place forever, but if I was it wouldn’t upset me. Real-estate where I am is extremely expensive, and I feel fortunate that I was able to but something when I did, as it’s become nearly impossible for my generation to buy anything. While it could be possible for me to sell this place and put the money towards a new mortgage somewhere, that isn’t currently my intention, as I am pretty happy with me current living situation.
Christine has said in the past that she considers my contentment to be me settling, which upset me greatly as I really don’t consider how I live to be “settling”. She has said she in the past that she dislikes my house, and feels she is sacrificing a lot to move in here, and that I haven’t acknowledged this sacrifice enough. The things she’s most sad about leaving behind in her apartment is the more central location, her favourite coffee shops, the shorter commute to work, having her own bedroom that is just her own, and despite sometimes having issues with her sister, she’s gonna miss living with her, as they’ve been roommates for nearly 3 years. She has listed the things she dislikes about my place, but it’s largely more suburban location, and it isn’t clean enough to her liking – it isn’t dirty, but my dogs a pretty messy, so I have agreed to hire cleaners to do more deep cleans every month or so, while I continue to tidy things up in the way that I have been doing. She also the dislikes the direction my house faces and feels like it doesn’t get enough light, although she is often over during the evening, and I feel like my house gets quite a bit of light during the day, so much so I often need to draw the blinds when the sun hits certain areas.
She’s also implied that she feels uncomfortable moving in to my place because I have history with a past relationship in this house, which I can understand, and have agreed to move her bed into the house when she moves in, as living on the same bed as a past relationship would probably be too strange. She has also implied that other couples when they move in together usually move into a whole new space, as she always had a dream of one day buying and picking out her own house and she feels that if she moves in with me that I am taking away her dreams. Although I’ve tried to re-frame her thinking, as once she moves in we can redecorate and change the place, paint, and more or less blend our two styles into one, making it our place. I also think the idea of couples moving into a new place together is usually when they either both already own a house or neither do, if someone in a relationship already owns their own house most often the partner who doesn’t will move in with them, but that’s just my own thoughts on it.
We’ve also gotten into arguments over changing patio furniture, which I already have, and she said we should buy an entire new set of furniture. I said I don’t really see why we would need a new entire set, my dogs have gotten fur on the current set, but otherwise they’re in good condition, and I said we could clean the furniture with my pressure washer whenever we want. I also agreed that we can expand the patio and add more furniture, a piece or two that she can pick out so that she has some choice in the matter. Although to get to that point she cried a lot and then told me she always had a dream of buying her own patio furniture and she feels like this is another dream that I’m trying to take away from her.
To be honest I am quite the saver and value my security over spending money on things that I already have. I grew up in a lower-middle class family and saw my parents struggle with finances, where as Christine grew up in what I would consider upper-middle class or even lower-high class, and possibly expects a little more than I do. Whereas I grew up learning to love what I have, Christine has often dreamed about what’s next and wanting more. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing for either of us, but this I feel has resulted in some of the arguments revolving around things and the house.
TL/DR Issue 1: My girlfriend seems to not like my house and feels she is sacrifising a lot to move in with me.
Issue 2: Me hanging out with my friends
Another issue that has come up is how we value our various friendships. Christine is more of an introvert and works in an office, so can feel relatively drained at the end of the day and often doesn’t feel the need to additional social interactions, although she does have some people she considers close friends, although maybe only sees them once a month or less even. Where as I am more of an extrovert, although I do like my alone time as well and do have introvert tendencies, but because I work for myself at home I do like to fill my social interactions with my friends when I’m not working. Now I’m not a party animal and I don’t go out every night of the week or anything like that, but I do see my friends maybe 2-3 times a week, often in a group setting.
Christine and I did a personality test recently, which showed that she carries the introvert tendencies, but also can be very jealous and feel like she has extreme FOMO when events are going on. Even when she is invited to them but declines as her social battery is low, she still feels like she has been left out, despite being invited to join by me or someone else in my friend group. I always make an effort to invite her most of the time, unless I know it’s just gonna be a guys night, in which case I try to let her know what I’m up to.
Sometimes my friends are last minute with plans so they’ll text me, and I’ll rush to take care of my dogs and then head out. I try to let my girlfriend know what I’m up to and invite her, but since we don’t live together I don’t always give her a play by play at all times of the day of what I’m up to. Past relationships I’ve had haven’t really wanted to know what I was doing at all times if we’re not living together. I’ve also never made plans with her and then ditched her for my friends, I always make a point to stick to my word and keep any plans that we have set in stone.
In the past when I’ve been hanging out with my friends her texts to me have been short and impersonal and I can tell she’s upset, this has sometimes taken away my joy from hanging out with my friends. She has stated that she isn’t upset at me, but just upset that she is missing out on something, despite most of the times being invited to join. While moving in together would result in me and Christine seeing each other more and I’d of course always let her know if I was heading out or wouldn’t be home when she was expecting me, I sometimes fear her FOMO and the sometimes hour long conversations reassuring her about our relationship after I hang out with my friends.
I feel like this comes down to trust issues, and I feel like Christine doesn’t trust me, despite never being dishonest with her. I’ve had previous relationships cheat on my either emotionally or physically and that’s a pain that doesn’t go away, so I’ve always made an effort to never do anything unbecoming as such. The trust issues come down possibly to Christine’s insecurities about herself, and while I’ve tried to comfort her or reassure her, I feel like it’s a personal issue that she should be talking to a therapist about. She was seeing a therapist for a while, but has stopped recently, stating that the therapist was to agreeable with her, and she wasn’t seeing actionable changes. Although she is self-aware enough to realize that these trust and insecurity issues are her own.
This is compounded further because my friend group has a female friend, I’ll call her Carlotta, who is dating one of my closest friends. After my ex and I broke up 2 and a half years ago, Carlotta and her boyfriend (my close friend) broke up, Carlotta and I both got a little drunk and bonded over our breakups and kissed. We only kissed and nothing else happened, but the next morning we both said that it was a bad idea and that was more or less the end of it. My close friend and Carlotta ended up getting back together about a month later, and after some awkwardness, my close friend forgave both of us for the kiss. They were of course broken up at the time, and I respect peoples relationships too much to ever make a move on someone who is in a relationship, nor would I ever make a move on someone when I’m in a relationship myself. Carlotta and I both chalked it up to both feeling lonely with the recent break-ups. I still hang out with my close friend weekly usually, and Carlotta is there I’d say about 25% of the time, so I might see her once a month or so in group settings. In an effort to be honest with Christine I told her about I and Carlotta’s history early on in our relationship, and this only made Christine more insecure. When I told her I was unaware of her underlying trust and insecurity issues, although I still feel like open honesty was probably the best choice.
While the FOMO and jealousy over me hanging out with my friends is still there, if Carlotta is around it is usually worse. This has led Christine to comparing herself to Carlotta, or at least the idea of Carlotta. Christine at one point block her Instagram because she would see Carlotta’s stories feel even more insecure. Christine has accused me of hiding things from her about me and Carlotta’s past, which I haven’t, and accused me of acting awkward when Carlotta is around. Although I feel like any awkwardness is probably because I know Christine is insecure around Carlotta, so I might be a little uncomfortable not wanting to upset my girlfriend.
While I feel like this has gotten better recently, when I hung out with my friends the other day, Carlotta happened to be there and I told my girlfriend as much afterwards. I of course invited my girlfriend to join at the time, but she wasn’t interested. When we talked on the phone and I told my girlfriend what my friends and I got up to, I could feel like she was upset, and she told me she felt triggered. I asked her why exactly, and the conversation eventually spun off, and while recognizing that it is her insecurity issues, she got upset with how she felt I responded to her being triggered. While I was trying to figure out why exactly she was upset, she became upset at me for not instead immediately comforting her. Although I did try to comfort her, I guess it wasn’t in the way she wanted to be comforted. She accused me of “being attracted greatness”, and because she considers Carlotta to be “great” I musty be attracted to her. This isn’t the case, I’m really not attracted to Carlotta in that way anymore, so I feel like I need to defend myself. Then I get accused of being defensive, so really there’s no winning. It took an hour of back and forth talking to eventually come to end the phone call on good terms where neither of us were upset.
TL/DR issue 2: My girlfriend is insecure and very anxious when I hang out with my friends.
Issue 3: Communication stuff I guess?
While this has probably been apparent in some of the above writing, I really feel like we sometime struggle to understand one another. I’m a very logical person and tend to need a reason for something to be a certain way or to change things. Christine is more emotional and a dreamer, she’s more concerned with thoughts and feelings where as I am more interested in facts and data. Neither of these things is a real issue at all, except for when it comes to conversations that lead to disagreements. Sometimes I feel like we’re having a perfectly normal conversation with some back and forth, and then all of a sudden she’s upset at me and in tears, and I try to rewind the conversation to find something that would have resulted in this response, and I legit can’t. That probably makes me sound pretty stupid, because if someone is crying there must be a reason, but even when she repeats what made her upset, I can’t even place in the conversation when this happened. Seriously, I rack my brain trying to place it and it just isn’t there. I feel like I’m losing my mind. Eventually we can maybe rewind enough to the initial triggering, but even when it’s repeated I have no idea why it would deserve this emotional of a response.
Some of the time it’s because she took a joke I said as reality, not realizing it was a joke. So I have to explain the joke in great detail so that she can get it. I’m a very jokey person by nature and do struggle to be serious. Christine is less jokey, and more serious by nature. Sometimes I can say a joke and she laughs really hard, so she isn’t humourless by any degree. I just think because she’s so serious that she sometimes assumes what I’m saying is serious, and suddenly all the context is gone.
Other times it seems she gets upset at me for reasons that others wouldn’t. I play sports with my friend in recreational leagues, and every now and then we’ve needed a sub so my girlfriend has filled in. After some of the games she is, at least I feel she is, angry at me for perceived things about how I play. Sometimes when you’re playing with a sub you don’t have the same groove as your team usually would, but my girlfriend seems to take it personally if I don’t pass the ball to her enough, and accuses me of not wanting to improve at the sport, despite my level of play being equal or better than most of my team-members, at least in my opinion. There are obviously ways I could improve, but this is a rec league and I only play once a week at most and I’m not going for the majors, most of us are there to have a good time and play the game, and then maybe grab some drinks after to celebrate the win or the loss. I can feel Christine’s mood sour if we aren’t doing well, and everyone else isn’t upset at all. Sometimes you lose and sometimes you win, but she hates losing and is very competitive. While she’s not horrible at the game, she doesn’t play as often as we all do, and is probably not quite on our level. So she gets upset when she feels she’s letting the team down, but I’ve told her many times that no one feels like she is letting us down. She does feel like she needs to be the best at stuff, and when she isn’t she gets upset at herself, and then might turn it around on me. It got to the point where I had to stop inviting her to join us as she was getting too upset either visibly in the game or at me after for some perceived slights, for not passing the ball enough, or for me not improving enough since playing.
We have started going to therapy, largely because I want to iron out these issues before moving in together, and in the session I brought up the FOMO and insecurities she has over me hanging out with my friends. We talked and I got some perspective on her side, and I hope she got some perspective on my side. We mostly talked about the house issues though, as that was the most pressing, and the FOMO stuff was relegated to a small part of therapy. Later on in the evening when I went over to her place to hang out she said she felt blindsided about how I brought up her insecurities about this in therapy. She said that she felt we had talked about these issues in the past and didn’t think that it should have been brought up in therapy. I told her that just because we’ve talked about it in the past, and it has gotten a little better, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try to talk about it in therapy to gain a better perspective. For context, the next night she got upset when I hung out with my friends, aka the last paragraph of issue 2, so it’s pretty clear that this is an ongoing issue and hasn’t been fully resolved.
The therapist even picked up on something that my girlfriend has started somewhat jokingly diagnosing herself with after watching some videos on TikTok, that is possibly her having ADHD or being somewhere on the Autism spectrum. Both of these would explain why she struggles to contain her emotions, and appreciates having control of her environment, although I can’t really say for sure either way, as I’m not equipped myself to diagnose anything.
TL/DR of Issue 3: Sometimes we just don’t seem to get each other or be on the same page.

Welp, that was a long novel. I think Stephen King will be reaching out to me for the rights soon. I know this might seem like a lot of things, but I just wanted to provide as much detail as possible, plus I think it’s probably all kind of the same thing, but written a whole bunch of different ways. I really do love my girlfriend and want to work out these issues. I hope that therapy is enough to be able to see eye to eye, but I maybe wanted some outside perspective. And I would ask that people keep in mind the ass for mentioned bias that this write-up has probably in my favour, so I would appreciate any opinions in favour of my girlfriend. I really want this to workout, I just want this relationship to last when we move in together, that’s why I wrote all this out, and that’s why we started going to therapy. I truly do love her and I know she loves me. If you read this entire thing then I thank you, and even if you just read the TL/DR of each issue I still thank you.
TL/DR: My girlfriend and I want to move in together, but I feel like communication issues, issues with her thoughts on my house, and her insecurities over my friendships may need to be resolved first. Preface: I know internet forums have a disproportionate percentage of customers with terrible experiences than in real life.
I work in marketing/advertising. And I'm looking for a laptop for work and entertainment.
My priorities for work are long battery life (7 hours +) for video streaming/playback, multiple web browsers. And a great keyboard. Can't stand keyboard flexes.
I consume a lot of content too and would like an LED screen if possible.
I've always used windows PCs personally. I love MacBook's aesthetics, durability and reliability and it fulfills most of my criteria for work and media consumption. But I can't stand MacOs. Not to mention I use an Android phone.
I'm hoping to catch up on a lot of games. Nothing too crazy, tbh. rdr2, GTA V, and online fps games. I don't think I'll be playing any AAA games beyond 2020.
I've been thinking so much about how to go about balancing my needs. My initial plan was to get a MacBook and a desktop PC.
But aside from my beef with MacOs and its lack of support for Android, I travel a lot. And my gamer friends are scattered over the place.
A desktop PC would really be gathering dust most of the time.

Razerblades match my sense of aesthetics a lot. Plus much more ports than Macbooks. Plus mobile gaming. Plus unibody design.
However, Razerblades seem to be worse than most average brands in terms of reliability. That's what I'm mostly scared of.
Secondly, I'm unsure of the battery life I've been seeing. How long does a Razerblade last for with just web browsing or video streaming?
For typing masters, how would you rate Razerblade's keyboard?
I know about the cooling issue. It's an understandable compromise for a thin, metallic, gaming laptop. Do you think taking cooling precautions like a cooling pad and good ventilation while gaming is good enough? I live in a tropical climate.
Does it run hot or loud during web browsing and video streaming too?
Also, I know about the horrific customer support. I don't live in a customer-supported region. Getting OEM customer support for even big brands like Apple or Samsung here is near impossible.
Therefore, I plan on getting a used Razerblade to minimize my investment. I have my eyes on the blade 15 (2021). Actually 2019's version would suit me fine but I hate the shift/arrow keys layout on the right. If you have better suggestions, please don't hesitate to share. I'm also afraid of battery degradation.

Endless nothingness. A blank void that stretches into infinity, and stops only at the border between here and there. That is this place, called Ofo. But that is just the name I happen to use. Some call it the ‘Null’, others refer to it as ‘The Timeless Realm’. All of them are fine, I suppose, but I prefer Ofo. I’ve been here for longer than I ever cared to keep track of, and longer than I could likely count in millennia. Long enough to forget my name anyway. The wizards who accidentally trap themselves here, and the criminals who were exiled here all call me Agba, and that works fine for me.
As I sit in a rock out cropping of my den, a small moss-covered rock brought here by accident eons ago, I gaze out into the nothingness and think. Well, it isn’t quite nothing anymore. Ever since a wizard called Helmgarthin created a spell to bring people here on purpose, there has been a lot more things floating around. Once, it was just me, and the dying wizards, and they certainly weren’t good company. Occasionally, I’d see a void worm roaming around, but they never got close. But now, many things exist. Loose dirt drifts around, and the corpses of dumb adventurers who didn’t realize that a void means there’s no air. There’s even a city nearby now. It’s filled with air, magic, and living people. One day, I might visit there; it does get lonely in Ofo occasionally.
As I watched the dirt drift around, and the city float aimlessly in the distance, I felt a presence come from behind me. It was small, and weak, so I did not mind it. Using my magic, I turned my den towards the direction of the creature, and saw it was a humanoid wearing a fine suit of armor, and standing upon a ship propelled by magic. It connected our minds, and introduced itself.
“Great Dragon Agba, I am Mel Thoron, Crown Prince of Thoronia.” The humanoid said.
“What do you seek?” I asked, skipping past this part. Over the years, many have come to me wanting something, or asking something, and I have grown bored of their silver tongues.
“I seek to invite you to my coronation.” He said, catching me off guard for a moment. Surprised, I uncoiled my long body, shook lose my limbs, stretched out my wings, and stood to my full height. I felt his fear through our link, but paid it no mind.
“For what purpose?” I asked, finishing my stretch.
“You… you have been our neighbor for centuries, we wish to welcome you to see our city.” He lied. He was clearly unaccustomed to using a mental link, and left his true undefended. He held malice, greed, fear, and betrayal in his mind.
“You seek to slay me. To bring me to your city, and fight me in your den, where you have the advantage.” I said plainly, but amused.
“No Agba, you misunderstand!” He stuttered over his words. Peering further into his mind, I saw his desire for glory.
“I do not, but I will play along.” I chuckled. “Let us go to your so called coronation.”
“Oh… um, yes.” Mel said, confused. The ship turned, and sailed through the void to the city. Small rocks would bounce off the wooden hull with hollow sounds as it glided swiftly on the waves of magic that filled its sails. We arrived at the city, surrounded by a large magical dome, and a field of dirt; some of which floated gently in its wake.
Crossing through the dome, a wave of magic passed through me, attempting to stop me, but failing. As the ship and prince landed in an open field of grass and stone pathways, I set myself down beside them. The grass tickled my scales, and the dirt settled nicely under me, cradling my body from my tail to my back legs quite pleasantly.
“Ah, this alone was worth the trip. Your kingdom has fine soil, Crown Prince Mel.”
“Um… thank you.” He said, using his mouth and sounds this time. I noticed it when I arrived, but paid no attention to it, but this dome was filled with cold, crips air. For the first time in eons, I filled my lungs, and even got a bit chilly. As I breathed out, flames poured from my mouth, frightening the prince.
“Ah, I had forgotten about that.” I apologized, and expelled the last of the air from my lungs. “I will use my thoughts, from now on, Prince Mel, so that I do not ruin your air.”
“Yes, quite.” He said, hiding his emotions from his face. “Please, follow me. The coronation is this way.”
“You continue with this charade? Well, if it means so much to you…”
“Truly great Agba, I do not…” he sighed, “if you know why I invited you, why did you come?” He asked. His voice was even, and calm, but anger and pride swelled in his mind.
“Why not?”
“You believe you can defeat us?” He asked, as he stopped walking, and placed a hand on the sword on his hip.
“I do not know, but perhaps we can learn something from this.” I mused. While he stopped, I continued to walk forwards, in the direction we had both been going. By the time I had answered his question, the last of my body was just passing his.
“We shall see,” he muttered, the followed. After a little more walking, we stood before a great set of doors, by human standards. Behind the door, were dozens of small weak presences, each with pitiful magic weapons and armor.
A fine trap for a fool. I thought to myself. I had to kneel down and slither my body to reach the inside. Once my head was through, a large metal object fall down atop me, and I heard shouting from all sides. The metal object fell onto the base of my neck, but broke straight away against my scales. Looking around, I saw several men in armor cheering. Carefully, I slithered the rest of my body through, which silenced the cheers completely. “I apologize again, Prince Mel. It seems I broke this.” Picking up the remains of the metal object, which seemed to be some form of large blade, I placed it gently against the wall that housed the rest of its parts. Prince Mel however, had no response, but simply glanced back and forth between the blade and my neck.
“No, it seems I must apologize. I greatly underestimated your strength, Agba.” Prince Mel finally said.
“Have you learned anything yet?” I asked.
“That it will take more that a blade to slice your scales.” He shook his head.
“Indeed, but I was hoping for a more profound revelation. Perhaps on your next attempt?”
At that, he seemed shocked. “You… what?”
“Is this the only attempt you had planned?” I wondered.
“Well… if you would give me a moment.” He said, and called over several of the men in armor. After a short while, they left, but returned quickly with potion vials, rope, and crossbows. “This will do you in, certainly!” Mel boasted.
“A hasty plan can be worse than none at all, you know.” I teased him, and watched him dip the crossbow-bolts into the potions. “Shall I lay down so you can use your rope?” I asked. Mel grumbled something, then politely refused. His mind was growing ever more frustrated and embarrassed. I on the other hand was rather enjoying myself. This was the most fun I’d had since his father’s coronation, and his father’s before that. At least this one had the courtesy to invite me to his coronation.
After several hours, and well over a dozen different failed attempts, the prince’s coronation continued, and he was officially named king. I clapped as he solemnly took his crown, and gave my congratulations for his ascension. Then I gave my condolences for his failure to kill me. After that, I welcomed him to try his hand at killing me whenever he wanted, and flew back home. My den had floated away while I was gone, so I swiftly corrected it, and retook my position watching the void.
Time passed, and through it, the new king Mel stopped by with a group of warriors to take me up on my offer. More than once, actually. Hundreds of tries, hundreds of plans, and hundreds of failures. But each time I’d ask him what he learned, occasionally he would even answer before storming off. He would say things like, “level two enchantments weren’t enough,” or “if poison doesn’t work, I’ll try acid!” It wasn’t much, but it was progress, and it was amusing.
One day, while lounging around my den, thinking about what I wanted to eat that year, I spotted something moving in the void. At first, I assumed it was King Mel coming to try to kill me again, but as it grew closer, I realized it was much too large to be a ship. In fact, it was almost as large as I was.
Looking closer, I saw that it was another dragon like myself. Ah, perhaps this is the day I die after all? King Mel will not be happy about this. I thought, and laid my head down in waiting for my visitor.
“Hail, father! Agba of Ofo!” A familiar voice called out. Opening one of my eyes, I saw the face of my youngest son. Now his face looked very different from mine. He looked old, his frills went all the way down to his neck, and his skin grew wrinkled and grey.
“Hail, son. Throm of… where did you end up?” I asked, closing my eye again.
“With mother in the realm of falling leaves.” Throm answered.
“You’ve sure gotten old.” I said.
“Not all of us cower from death in realm between realms. I faced my mortality with grace.” Throm said. I did not need a psionic connection to tell he was upset.
“As one should.” I agreed, and scratched an itch behind my frills.
“Mother is dying, father. She wishes to see you.”
“She is welcome, anytime.” I said.
“She is too sick for interplanar traveling spells.”
“How long has it been?” I asked.
“She has been growing frail for the last four thousand years. I fear she has less than one hundred years left.”
“I see, then I will visit. One last time.”
“How long will you be able to say, father?”
“An hour, at most.”
“Then I will inform mother. When will you come?” Throm asked. I stood up, to my full height, and began casting a planar traveling spell. While I did that, I cast another spell on my den. One that would serve as a final farewell to King Mel, and as an apology for him not being the one who kills me.
“We will go now.” I said, and finished the spell. With a bright flash of light, we burst through the walls of the realm of falling leaves, and appeared beside my love.
As soon as we arrived, I felt the years begin, but my heart was lightened when I saw my love, Ti. She was laying on a small nest made of cloth and leather. Her small body rested cozily, but stirred when we appeared. She raised her head, now no larger than that of a human’s chest, and smiled upon seeing me. “Oba!” She called out, reminding me of a name long forgotten. “My love!” I laid down beside her next, and she moved from it, to my snout. “You came.”
“Yes, my love. To spend my final moments with you.”
“Father has but an hour, Mother.” Throm said.
“An hour is an eternity for an immortal, and not nearly long enough.” I said. Ti removed herself from my snout. Not by choice, but because it was no longer large enough for her to rest on. The years were catching up with me, quickly. I looked down at my claws, and saw that they had lost their golden shine, and were now wrinkled and yellow.
“Ah, a much more manageable size.” Ti laughed. “Throm, you will need to cast the spell when it is time.”
“Yes, Mother. I am aware.”
The next hour went wonderfully slowly as my love and I laid side by side with one another quietly, enjoying each other’s presences and linking our minds one last time. Once I reach the same size as her, we knew it was time to part for the last time. Throm cast the spell, as I was no longer capable of doing so, and we move into the far reaches of the realm of falling leaves.

“I learned the final lesson all immortals learn; waste not a moment.” I told him, as my heart tore itself in two.
“Goodbye, Father.” With that, Throm vanished, and returned to his mother’s side. Five…. I gaze out into this new void, and thought how clustered it was. Four… it was filled with so many things. Three… Stars, planets, people, and who knows what else. Two… I used the last of my strength, and cast one final spell. One… I want to see it all again, through new eyes.
Screaming filled my ears, a woman’s I believe. I tried to open my eyes, but they were too weak, so instead I trained my ears. People were talking. New people. I touched their minds with my own, and saw through their eyes. A humanoid woman had just given birth. To a small baby boy… a dragon-kin boy… to me, I think.

I know about the cooling issue. Understandable compromise for a thin, metallic, gaming laptop. Do you think taking cooling precautions like a cooling pad and good ventilation while gaming is good enough?
Does it run hot or loud during web browsing and video streaming too?
Also, I know about the horrific customer support. I don't live in a customer-supported region. Getting customer support for even big brands like Apple or Samsung here is near impossible.
Therefore I plan on getting a used Razerblade to minimize my investment. I have my eyes on the blade 15 (2021). Actually 2019's version would suit me fine but I hate the shift/arrow keys layout on the right. If you have better suggestions, please don't hesitate to share. I'm also afraid of battery degradation.

What I'm most afraid of is the reliability. Too many people have been burnt, so I'd like to know how bad it is.
What's the longest you've used a Razerblade for? What's the longest you've seen someone use one for?
I don't mind paying special care when gaming on it, but I don't want to buy an headache that will affect my work and mental health.

Endless nothingness. A blank void that stretches into infinity, and stops only at the border between here and there. That is this place, called Ofo. But that is just the name I happen to use. Some call it the ‘Null’, others refer to it as ‘The Timeless Realm’. All of them are fine, I suppose, but I prefer Ofo. I’ve been here for longer than I ever cared to keep track of, and longer than I could likely count in millennia. Long enough to forget my name anyway. The wizards who accidentally trap themselves here, and the criminals who were exiled here all call me Agba, and that works fine for me.
As I sit in a rock out cropping of my den, a small moss-covered rock brought here by accident eons ago, I gaze out into the nothingness and think. Well, it isn’t quite nothing anymore. Ever since a wizard called Helmgarthin created a spell to bring people here on purpose, there has been a lot more things floating around. Once, it was just me, and the dying wizards, and they certainly weren’t good company. Occasionally, I’d see a void worm roaming around, but they never got close. But now, many things exist. Loose dirt drifts around, and the corpses of dumb adventurers who didn’t realize that a void means there’s no air. There’s even a city nearby now. It’s filled with air, magic, and living people. One day, I might visit there; it does get lonely in Ofo occasionally.
As I watched the dirt drift around, and the city float aimlessly in the distance, I felt a presence come from behind me. It was small, and weak, so I did not mind it. Using my magic, I turned my den towards the direction of the creature, and saw it was a humanoid wearing a fine suit of armor, and standing upon a ship propelled by magic. It connected our minds, and introduced itself.
“Great Dragon Agba, I am Mel Thoron, Crown Prince of Thoronia.” The humanoid said.
“What do you seek?” I asked, skipping past this part. Over the years, many have come to me wanting something, or asking something, and I have grown bored of their silver tongues.
“I seek to invite you to my coronation.” He said, catching me off guard for a moment. Surprised, I uncoiled my long body, shook lose my limbs, stretched out my wings, and stood to my full height. I felt his fear through our link, but paid it no mind.
“For what purpose?” I asked, finishing my stretch.
“You… you have been our neighbor for centuries, we wish to welcome you to see our city.” He lied. He was clearly unaccustomed to using a mental link, and left his true undefended. He held malice, greed, fear, and betrayal in his mind.
“You seek to slay me. To bring me to your city, and fight me in your den, where you have the advantage.” I said plainly, but amused.
“No Agba, you misunderstand!” He stuttered over his words. Peering further into his mind, I saw his desire for glory.
“I do not, but I will play along.” I chuckled. “Let us go to your so called coronation.”
“Oh… um, yes.” Mel said, confused. The ship turned, and sailed through the void to the city. Small rocks would bounce off the wooden hull with hollow sounds as it glided swiftly on the waves of magic that filled its sails. We arrived at the city, surrounded by a large magical dome, and a field of dirt; some of which floated gently in its wake.
Crossing through the dome, a wave of magic passed through me, attempting to stop me, but failing. As the ship and prince landed in an open field of grass and stone pathways, I set myself down beside them. The grass tickled my scales, and the dirt settled nicely under me, cradling my body from my tail to my back legs quite pleasantly.
“Ah, this alone was worth the trip. Your kingdom has fine soil, Crown Prince Mel.”
“Um… thank you.” He said, using his mouth and sounds this time. I noticed it when I arrived, but paid no attention to it, but this dome was filled with cold, crips air. For the first time in eons, I filled my lungs, and even got a bit chilly. As I breathed out, flames poured from my mouth, frightening the prince.
“Ah, I had forgotten about that.” I apologized, and expelled the last of the air from my lungs. “I will use my thoughts, from now on, Prince Mel, so that I do not ruin your air.”
“Yes, quite.” He said, hiding his emotions from his face. “Please, follow me. The coronation is this way.”
“You continue with this charade? Well, if it means so much to you…”
“Truly great Agba, I do not…” he sighed, “if you know why I invited you, why did you come?” He asked. His voice was even, and calm, but anger and pride swelled in his mind.
“Why not?”
“You believe you can defeat us?” He asked, as he stopped walking, and placed a hand on the sword on his hip.
“I do not know, but perhaps we can learn something from this.” I mused. While he stopped, I continued to walk forwards, in the direction we had both been going. By the time I had answered his question, the last of my body was just passing his.
“We shall see,” he muttered, the followed. After a little more walking, we stood before a great set of doors, by human standards. Behind the door, were dozens of small weak presences, each with pitiful magic weapons and armor.
A fine trap for a fool. I thought to myself. I had to kneel down and slither my body to reach the inside. Once my head was through, a large metal object fall down atop me, and I heard shouting from all sides. The metal object fell onto the base of my neck, but broke straight away against my scales. Looking around, I saw several men in armor cheering. Carefully, I slithered the rest of my body through, which silenced the cheers completely. “I apologize again, Prince Mel. It seems I broke this.” Picking up the remains of the metal object, which seemed to be some form of large blade, I placed it gently against the wall that housed the rest of its parts. Prince Mel however, had no response, but simply glanced back and forth between the blade and my neck.
“No, it seems I must apologize. I greatly underestimated your strength, Agba.” Prince Mel finally said.
“Have you learned anything yet?” I asked.
“That it will take more that a blade to slice your scales.” He shook his head.
“Indeed, but I was hoping for a more profound revelation. Perhaps on your next attempt?”
At that, he seemed shocked. “You… what?”
“Is this the only attempt you had planned?” I wondered.
“Well… if you would give me a moment.” He said, and called over several of the men in armor. After a short while, they left, but returned quickly with potion vials, rope, and crossbows. “This will do you in, certainly!” Mel boasted.
“A hasty plan can be worse than none at all, you know.” I teased him, and watched him dip the crossbow-bolts into the potions. “Shall I lay down so you can use your rope?” I asked. Mel grumbled something, then politely refused. His mind was growing ever more frustrated and embarrassed. I on the other hand was rather enjoying myself. This was the most fun I’d had since his father’s coronation, and his father’s before that. At least this one had the courtesy to invite me to his coronation.
After several hours, and well over a dozen different failed attempts, the prince’s coronation continued, and he was officially named king. I clapped as he solemnly took his crown, and gave my congratulations for his ascension. Then I gave my condolences for his failure to kill me. After that, I welcomed him to try his hand at killing me whenever he wanted, and flew back home. My den had floated away while I was gone, so I swiftly corrected it, and retook my position watching the void.
Time passed, and through it, the new king Mel stopped by with a group of warriors to take me up on my offer. More than once, actually. Hundreds of tries, hundreds of plans, and hundreds of failures. But each time I’d ask him what he learned, occasionally he would even answer before storming off. He would say things like, “level two enchantments weren’t enough,” or “if poison doesn’t work, I’ll try acid!” It wasn’t much, but it was progress, and it was amusing.
One day, while lounging around my den, thinking about what I wanted to eat that year, I spotted something moving in the void. At first, I assumed it was King Mel coming to try to kill me again, but as it grew closer, I realized it was much too large to be a ship. In fact, it was almost as large as I was.
Looking closer, I saw that it was another dragon like myself. Ah, perhaps this is the day I die after all? King Mel will not be happy about this. I thought, and laid my head down in waiting for my visitor.
“Hail, father! Agba of Ofo!” A familiar voice called out. Opening one of my eyes, I saw the face of my youngest son. Now his face looked very different from mine. He looked old, his frills went all the way down to his neck, and his skin grew wrinkled and grey.
“Hail, son. Throm of… where did you end up?” I asked, closing my eye again.
“With mother in the realm of falling leaves.” Throm answered.
“You’ve sure gotten old.” I said.
“Not all of us cower from death in realm between realms. I faced my mortality with grace.” Throm said. I did not need a psionic connection to tell he was upset.
“As one should.” I agreed, and scratched an itch behind my frills.
“Mother is dying, father. She wishes to see you.”
“She is welcome, anytime.” I said.
“She is too sick for interplanar traveling spells.”
“How long has it been?” I asked.
“She has been growing frail for the last four thousand years. I fear she has less than one hundred years left.”
“I see, then I will visit. One last time.”
“How long will you be able to say, father?”
“An hour, at most.”
“Then I will inform mother. When will you come?” Throm asked. I stood up, to my full height, and began casting a planar traveling spell. While I did that, I cast another spell on my den. One that would serve as a final farewell to King Mel, and as an apology for him not being the one who kills me.
“We will go now.” I said, and finished the spell. With a bright flash of light, we burst through the walls of the realm of falling leaves, and appeared beside my love.
As soon as we arrived, I felt the years begin, but my heart was lightened when I saw my love, Ti. She was laying on a small nest made of cloth and leather. Her small body rested cozily, but stirred when we appeared. She raised her head, now no larger than that of a human’s chest, and smiled upon seeing me. “Oba!” She called out, reminding me of a name long forgotten. “My love!” I laid down beside her next, and she moved from it, to my snout. “You came.”
“Yes, my love. To spend my final moments with you.”
“Father has but an hour, Mother.” Throm said.
“An hour is an eternity for an immortal, and not nearly long enough.” I said. Ti removed herself from my snout. Not by choice, but because it was no longer large enough for her to rest on. The years were catching up with me, quickly. I looked down at my claws, and saw that they had lost their golden shine, and were now wrinkled and yellow.
“Ah, a much more manageable size.” Ti laughed. “Throm, you will need to cast the spell when it is time.”
“Yes, Mother. I am aware.”
The next hour went wonderfully slowly as my love and I laid side by side with one another quietly, enjoying each other’s presences and linking our minds one last time. Once I reach the same size as her, we knew it was time to part for the last time. Throm cast the spell, as I was no longer capable of doing so, and we move into the far reaches of the realm of falling leaves.
“Thank you, my son.” I said, feeling my last moment come upon me.
“Father, before I go… you’ve lived so long. What did you learn?”
“I learned the final lesson all immortals learn; waste not a moment.” I told him, as my heart tore itself in two.
“Goodbye, Father.” With that, Throm vanished, and returned to his mother’s side. Five…. I gaze out into this new void, and thought how clustered it was. Four… it was filled with so many things. Three… Stars, planets, people, and who knows what else. Two… I used the last of my strength, and cast one final spell. One… I want to see it all again, through new eyes.
Screaming filled my ears, a woman’s I believe. I tried to open my eyes, but they were too weak, so instead I trained my ears. People were talking. New people. I touched their minds with my own, and saw through their eyes. A humanoid woman had just given birth. To a small baby boy… a dragon-kin boy… to me, I think.

So today I upgraded from the 5600G to 5800X3D and everything went nice and smooth and all, or so I thought.
Upon trying to boot my pc, my mobo's LED got stuck on VGA, though at least my display did turn on for mere moments at times, pretty sure my pc kept rebooting.
After that I tried eeeeverything I could think of or find on internet; resetting CMOS, checking if everything is seated properly, trying my RAM sticks one by one in each slot, updating bios and I even tried using my previous 5600G, alas, to no avail.
Now my display won't ever catch a signal. Also the debug LEDs are acting weird, DRAM flashes like every 8 seconds, VGA faintly flashes once in a while and sometimes it shines bright for like 5 seconds aaaaand the boot LED also does ever so rarely and faintly flash a little.
Also, all my fans do spin normally, GPU's logo lights up too, if that's of any matter.
I suppose this means something in my setup died? My guess is either the motherboard or my RAM. Any ideas guys?

Being this abrahanic inspired faith, the Imperial Cult if full of saints, some declared after death, some still living. We know of Saint Sabbath, we know of Saint Celestine, and how even Cain got a planet that worships him as one.
But, how does someone is declared a saint, and how they are worshipped? The following excerpts give insight on that, as well some rather unusual saint, a psyker one.
The holy
“Though they did flay her body with their blades, rend her bones to dust with their fists and consume her organs with their hungry maws, they possessed nothing that could touch her faith.” —

The Calixis Sector is full of saints, men and women who have given their lives to the glory of the Emperor. Some are very minor, only revered in a single city or town, while some can be found wherever Imperial rule extends. Large or small, saints form the human face of the Ministorum, giving worshippers something to relate to and aspire toward. Saints are also often associated with certain aspects and particular causes, such as stellar travel or guilt. Some saints are even more specialised, watching out for those that work with ill-tempered Grox for example. This means, regardless of your situation, there is always a saint watching over you and to whom you can offer a prayer of protection. The truly devout take no chances and festoon themselves with the symbols and tokens of many saints. Saints also have a prominent place in Imperial culture beyond their religious connotations. Their names can be found on everything from worlds and stellar craft to streets and children. Often something that is akin to a saint’s cause bears their name, such as a warship called the Saint Drusus (of which there are one hundred and thirteen so named to date), so it might embody some of the fierceness of its namesake. Taking all of this into account, saints form an important part of a citizen’s life, as prolific and ever-present as the Cult of the Emperor itself.
Drusus the Wrrior
Without a doubt the greatest of all the saints within the Calixis Sector, Drusus stands at the right hand of the Emperor in the hearts and minds of most Calixian citizenry. From early childhood, millions are taught the tales of the great general Drusus and his relentless armies. They learn of how he brought the light of the Emperor back to the sector and swept away the vile masses of xenos who had taken root. It is because of his efforts that the Calixis Sector exists today. The Ministorum makes sure that no one forgets his deeds and, wherever temples and shrines to the Emperor are raised, so too are statues of this saint. Likewise, few saints can boast a cult as large or powerful as Drusus and none can deny the influence that the cult has over all Calixian affairs.
Though a mighty and cunning warlord, Drusus is best remembered and revered as an honest and courageous warrior. It is this purity of faith in the Emperor and the Imperium that soldiers will pray to before heading into battle. To invoke the name of Drusus is to ask for the righteous might of the Emperor to guide your hand. On some worlds entire regiments of Guardsmen are dedicated to the saint’s name, such as the 23rd Drusus Dragoons of Clove, who spend their days in prayer to the saint when they are not battling the enemies of the Imperium. Many combat training facilities have a likeness of the saint above their entrance and cadets are required to ask Drusus for his blessing before they enter.
The greatest shrine to Drusus can be found within the Cathedral of Illumination on Scintilla. This is also the headquarters of his cult, where his followers gather from across the sector to discuss cult business. It is also the place where prospective cultists are brought to pledge their devotion to the saint, often in mass blessings many thousand strong. Within the cult, Drusus is second only to the Emperor and comes even before the leaders of the Ecclesiarchy. Of equal importance to the grand shrine on Scintilla is Maccabeus Quintus, sight of the near death of Drusus during the Angevin Crusade. Then there is Sentinel, an obscure shrine world, located in the Drusus Marches. Exactly why the world is holy to the saint is unclear; thousands make the pilgrimage there, often to die in the shadow of Drusus’s monument. It is also important to the cult, and any who would rise to the higher ranks within it must travel to the world and ask the saint’s blessing. Due to the dangers involved, reaching the world and returning safely is usually considered as “proof ” of the saint’s favour.
Vidicus the Forlorn
Vidicus lived many hundreds of years ago and had a life plagued with misfortune and disaster. According to the tales, he was a Rogue Trader—unusual stock for a saint. He is said to have explored great areas of the sector single-handedly, pushing back its boundaries. During this time, it is said he was a greedy and petty man, who sought only to exploit the worlds he discovered and expand his wealth and power. Like many men in such stories, an unfortunate event taught him the error of his ways and brought him into the light of the Emperor. In Vidicus’s case it was the abduction of his daughter by alien pirates. He became driven to find her and scoured the sector in his search. He also turned completely to the worship of the Emperor and beseeched him for His guidance. What Vidicus received, however, was one disaster after another. First, his crew tried to mutiny and he was forced to lure them into a hold and vent them to the void. Then, his ship became lost in the warp and he was almost overcome by madness before he could return to realspace. Later, he was captured by Orks and only escaped by eating his own hands in an effort to impress his captors. The tales of Vidicus’s quest for his daughter are long and numerous; however, they have two important morals. The first is that no matter how forlorn the hope that he would ever see his daughter again, he never stopped searching. The second is that no matter what adversities the galaxy threw at him, he never lost faith in guidance of the Emperor. Years after Vidicus had vanished in his quest to find his daughter (whose name has oddly never been recorded), a group of clerics wrote an exhaustive treatise on his journeys and deeds. It was from this that the Ministorum recognised his deeds and devotion to the Emperor and raised him to sainthood. Even today there are few worlds in the Calixis Sector that do not have a tale of Vidicus and the time he visited their world seeking his lost child.
Though he has no cult, Vidicus has many worshippers. Most people have been touched by tragedy at one time or another or have embarked on a risky or foolish course of action. At these times, they look to Saint Vidicus to preserve them and give them hope. Likewise his shrines can be found throughout the sector, often tucked away in the corners of larger cathedrals, littered with small offerings and prayers. Travellers also often pray to him to guide them safely to their destinations and makeshift shrines exist to him on many vessels. The saint’s name also appears in many common phrases such as, “a Vidicus hope”, meaning something with a very small chance of success, or “following Vidicus”, meaning to obsess about something unattainable. Acolytes have also been known to invoke the name of Vidicus in their missions, sometimes scratching prayers to the saint on the inside of their armour. It is often joked (though out of earshot of any Inquisitors) that Vidicus would have made a good Acolyte.
Rybel Gorth the Watcher in the Dark
Rybel Gorth is unusual among saints because in life he was a psyker. Shunned by the Ecclesiarchy at the time and held in deep suspicion by much of Imperial society, Gorth was seen as a “necessary” second-class citizen. It is written that in his early life he worked aboard a warp-faring vessel, aiding the Navigator and helping to protect its passengers and crew. His story begins, however, during the evacuation of Canopus during the Heresy of Numbers. At this time, the world was being turned to ashes by bitter civil war and a great army of heretics had turned upon the Ecclesiarchy. Formerly a haven for religious learning and scholarly study, Sylor was filled with thousands of prominent and learned members of the Ecclesiarchy. Rybel Gorth’s ship was the only one to reach the world before the end and took aboard hundreds of Ministorum officials and scholars before making a hasty retreat into the warp. Tragically, however, the ship became lost in the warp and years dragged by as it searched for escape. During this time, the crew and passengers began to die. Fearing the loss of the wealth of knowledge he had been part of rescuing, Gorth used his powers to draw out and store the minds of those who died, keeping them safe within his own. When the ship finally broke free and found its way to safe harbour, Gorth was half mad with a brain brimming with a hundred minds.
Before he died, he transcribed the gathered knowledge of the scholars of Canopus, ensuring its survival. For his sacrifice, the Ecclesiarchy at the time blessed his memory and raised him to sainthood.
Rybel Gorth has few shrines and statues erected in his honour. Even now, centuries after his death, a certain distaste of him exists within the Ministorum. Even the majority of citizens who know of him, see him more as a malevolent presence rather than a source of comfort and guidance. They associate their fears about psykers and the warp with the saint, seeing him as the embodiment of this evil.
There are those, however, that do not have their vision clouded by such fears. These are mostly scholars, adepts and, of course, psykers. These people see Gorth for what he was—a powerful psyker who was able to use his gift to hold the warp at bay and keep safe those around him. He has become a protector of those who would deal with the forbidden and the unknown, especially psykers who try and divine secrets from the warp or use it to send messages across the stars. Psykers often say prayers to Rybel Gorth when they use their powers, hoping that he will protect them from the perils of the warp. Scholars who seek ancient secrets also pray to him lest they unearth or awaken the unnatural. The tale of Rybel Gorth is also often taught to Imperial psykers during their training, impressing upon them the importance of their devotion to the Emperor and the Imperium.
Quivvarr Nog of Fedrid
Few primitives have ever achieved sainthood, though Quivvar Nog is one of the rare exceptions. Hailing from the feral world of Fedrid, he was a warrior of one of the great plains tribes who told stories of long ago, when men were star-walkers. It is said he was present to witness the first failed attempt by the Imperium to recover his world. A group of missionaries came to Fedrid to spread the Emperor’s word and bring it back to the fold. No sooner had they made planetfall than they were set upon by the locals and almost wiped out. It was Nog’s tribe that gave the survivors shelter and listened to their tales of the Imperium. So inspired was the young warrior, he knelt beneath the stars and swore an oath to the Emperor that he would bring Fedrid back to him. For sixty long years, Nog made war on the tribes of Fedrid in the name of the Emperor, finally as an ancient and scarred old man unifying his people. It was not until two hundred years later that the Imperium returned, prepared to once again turn the wayward tribes of the world to the light of the Emperor. What they found was a world more devout than most, which honoured both the Emperor and his saint—Quivvar Nog. When tales of the primitive that had brought faith to the world reached the ears of the Ecclesiarchy, a delegation was sent to investigate. The results were that Nog was recorded as a hero of the Imperium and made a saint.
Shrines to Quivvar can be found dotted throughout the sector, especially on primitive or feral worlds where the inhabitants identify with him. There has been some dispute over the best way to revere Nog. On civilized worlds, marble or granite statues are built to him depicting the saint as a cleanshaven giant dressed in primitive but well-made armour with strong and handsome features. On primitive worlds, clay or wooden idols made in his likeness show him as a squat ugly man with dirty hide armour and a ragged cloak. It is argued that the former is a fantasy concocted by the Ministorum to make him more palatable to more civilized citizens, but one that ultimately betrays the saint’s memory. This has lead to the unpleasant practice of befouling statues and shrines that promote this “false” image by those who claim to honour the “true” Nog. In either case, Nog enjoys a broad following as the saint of perseverance and final victory through faith. He is often revered by those with long, thankless tasks ahead of them. Nog is also associated with those too stubborn or too stupid to give up, an aspect many Acolytes can readily relate to.
Elana the Unshaken
A missionary, Elana made it her lifelong goal to bring the word of the Emperor to the dark places of the Imperium. In her time, she travelled far and wide across the sector, often choosing planets noted for their unruly populations or deadly indigenous life. It is written that she bore a scar for each world she visited. From the swamps of Ichovor, where she suffered a disfiguring filth-fly bite, to the wilderness of Dusk, where she was savaged by predators, she stoically accepted these “scars” as part of her service the Emperor. More than once, Elana was captured by natives to be maimed or tortured in the name of heathen gods. In all such stories, however, despite the horrors inflicted upon her, she never faltered in her faith. In the end, after travelling to scores of worlds, Elana was captured by a foul Daemon-worshipping cult on a remote, unnamed feral world. The natives tied her up and threw her into their master’s cave as an offering. Over the next month the Daemon tired to break her faith. Each day it would come and devour some of her flesh and offer her release. Each day she would refuse. Eventually the Daemon consumed her completely because she would not turn from the light of the Emperor. Elana had a final vengeance, however, as, in eating her flesh and spirit, the Daemon ingested that part of the Emperor that resided within her. The Daemon died screaming as the holy light burned its essence away and freed Elana to her final reward. Clerics like telling this story to prove that faith in the Emperor can overcome anything.
Elana is a much loved and widely accepted saint within the Calixis Sector, and shrines to her can be found on many worlds. This is no doubt because she embodies many of the most desirable qualities in revering the Emperor, namely duty and devotion above personal safety. • He can choose The Bow and Arrow, which takes 6 shots to kill a survivor. The 6th shot will always instantly kill the survivor. While charging an arrow his movement speed is slowed to 4.2 Meters per Second
• He can choose The Traps, which can be placed, up to 4 can be placed at a time. They can be placed and moved at any given time. Stepping into a trap will make the survivor bleed.
• He can choose The Saw, which can be charged and will injure the survivor for 2 health states and make the survivor bleed. Hitting a deep wounded survivor instantly kills them. While charging the saw his movement speed is slowed to 4 meters per second. Upon activating it you gain a short burst of speed for 3 seconds, and then the saw overheats for 10 seconds
