The artists, Dr. Anthony Fleg, Mallery Quetawki (Zuni), Blythe Mariano (Diné), and Chilán Mustain, worked together to create an installation in motion, and the vision they bring to this space is from a contemporary perspective on how Native art is presented. This is an innovative view for visitors to see that Native art is changing and adjusting to the times. The four segments that follow include some updated re-creations of classic Twilight Zone episodes. In the first, racist Bill Connor (Vic Morrow) is transformed into a Jew in World War II. Next, Mr. Bloom (Scatman Crothers) comes to a retirement home to teach the residents that they are only as young as they feel. 2023.06.08 02:39 AmbitiousResponse925 [REVIEW] Celine Mini 16 from Heddy, JXG Factory
Bit of background: I am a first-time rep buyer and this was my first buy. I learned about the community from the NYT article about reps. I was immediately entranced and decided to do some research for myself. I stumbled upon the Wagoon Ladies and saw how organized and supportive of a community y'all are and started my deep dive. Prior to this, I was a tote bag person, but I do come from a purse-obsessed family who is aware of my rep world discovery. I used this subreddit, Youtube, the Celine website, and my local Celine boutique for reference as I obsessively hunted down info about sellers, lingo, quality, and brand history. I opted for Heddy as my seller, but also reached out to ReyKay. Disclosure: I'm receiving no incentive to write this review. Heddy isn't aware I'm writing this review, has never offered any incentive to write reviews, and I don't plan on telling her that I wrote a review.
Seller: Heddy
Contact Info: +86 195 3638 2886
Price: 1440 CNY (205.36 USD)
Shipping: 45 USD
Total Price: 205.36 USD (price) + 45 USD (shipping) + 12.55 (5.01% PP international transaction fee) = $262.91 USD - Paid PPFF
Timeline: May 20th - I initially contact Heddy in search of
this beautiful new Mini 16 in Lavender. I tried contacting ReyKay about it too. Both don't have it . . . my guess is that it's too new for rep-production. The SA at the Celine boutique also told me this color is quite rare (even for auths), and that she herself was hiding a lavender triomphe for herself in the stock room. I decided to go with black and Heddy gives me a quote. I ask for BF Factory and she informs me that BF only makes the larger sizes of the 16, but JXG makes the mini in comparable quality.
May 21st - New day, new conflict. So many sizes! The 16 comes in mini, small, classique, and medium. I hadn't yet seen the auth in-person and didn't know if the mini was going to be truly
too mini for me. I mean in some Google search images, the mini looks downright
tiny. However, in this YT video the bag looks pretty good-sized (
video). I ask Heddy if JXG instead has the small size, she sends me pics. I decide the hardware on the mini looks the best and pay same day with PPFF.
May 25th - PSPs sent to me. They look good. I GL.
May 27th - Heddy sends a generic shipping label.
May 29th - I visit my local Celine boutique. Ask SA to show me the Mini 16 in black. To no shock, it's gorgeous and I solidify my love for this bag. The experience only makes me more excited for my shipment to arrive.
June 3rd - I ask for shipping updates given that 7 days have passed. NR.
June 6th - Bag arrives!
Pictures [Authentic](
Celine website)
Quality -
9/10 - (I'm grading this as a mid/high-Q bag since I don't have any other bags to reference)
- -0.5 pt - inner lining sewing flaw. This flaw is a bit hard to describe in writing, but you can observe it in the picture I attached of the interior of the bag (pic #8). In the posterior compartment at the bottom right of the bag, the lambskin is significantly ruched where it should lie flat like the anterior compartment. At the end of the day, I don't think this is a huge deal as it doesn't effect the exterior shape/appearance of the bag. Unless somebody is straight up fingerblasting my bag looking for flaws, this won't show up.
- -0.5 pt - Lock functionality flaw. I spent about 15 minutes trying to get a literal lock to lock. At one point, I doubted that this lock could even lock. However, I held steadfast in my efforts to get an unlockable lock to lock because, in my belief, the lock is one of the cutest features of this bag. Ended up getting it to work by holding the key towards the right in the keyhole with one hand while repeatedly swinging the shackle (the loop) to-and-from from the padlock body (while pushing down) with the other. Needless to say, I won't be moving my lock any time soon.
Oh my goodness, this is such a gorgeous bag! I open up the 50 layers of packaging and tape, started getting nervous when I caught whiff of the oft-bemoaned fufu scent for the first time ("
Could it really be?" I thought. "Am I truly now a wagoon lady?" My nostrils burned in triumph). Luckily, it seemed like the majority of the fufu smell was coming from the branded dust bag, and not the bag itself. The bag smells
goood, just as clean good-quality leather should.
Materials - Exterior leather feel and texture: I'm no expert but this feels like calfskin. It's buttery smooth and feels . . . well, luxurious. Like the auth, this leather has a smooth, protective coating (a common feature of the Triomphe's "shiny calfskin" and the 16's "satinated calfskin," the difference is their texture). Like the auth 16's satinated calfskin, the texture is just very slightly pebbled, which was achieved to perfection with this rep. Interior leather: feels super luxurious and soft. Again, I'm no expert on leather, but I would trust that this is genuinely lambskin.
Construction - this is a very well-put together bag that has structure and good shape. Stitching is sturdy and neat. I'm not going to count stitches, but from what I've seen of the auth, they are the correct size. However, there is an inner lining sewing flaw, which causes some puckering of a compartment which I describe in detail below. Logo foil stamp is even and is stamped into the leather (as opposed to printed on top of) as it should, but there
is a slight asymmetry on the 'E.' Before I got upset, I realized that on the Celine website, the 'E' on the display bag isn't even perfect! Makes me want to pay more attention to the foil stamps of the auths next time I go to my Celine store.
Hardware - Color appears to be correct. If I'm being picky, I would say that the auth hardware is a bit more yellow, but at the end of the day everything comes down to lighting. No one is looking that hard. My own hardware is STAYING under those protective stickers for the time being, so they look more matte in the pics. Rest of the hardware feels sturdy. The main lock on the bag body feels great and glides along its hinge with ease. Makes the satisfying little "click" when the lock is guided into place. Clasps were initially a little sticky, but after a few openings/closings, they're easy to use and serve their purpose.
Accuracy - 9/10 - -0.5 - Drop length is 18" when auth is 19" (I take only a 0.5 pt off since it was pretty dang close. Bag still sits in approx. correct position when worn with shoulder carry and crossbody)
For clarity, I do not own the auth, but I have handled the auth at my local Celine boutique (detailed above). The dimensions of the bag matched the auth nearly to a T. To measure my 16 correctly, I started with the bottom of the bag first measuring for width and depth. The width of my bag was exactly 17.5 cm, depth was only -1 mm off at 6.9 cm. Height of the bag measured from base to interior lip (don't include top flap) was 14 cm, give or take a few mm. My only issue was that the main strap was an inch off on the drop length! Color and Materials/construction hit the nail on the head pretty well (as stated above).
Rep Satisfaction Rating -
10/10 I LOVE this bag. It might be because this is my first rep, but the small flaws don't bother me that much (At 7% of the retail price, who could be mad?!). I just received it last night and already I've fondled this thing like crazy, admiring it's oh-so-cuteness.
I love the quiet stateliness of this bag, and I like that the visible branding is kept to a minimum. The style reminds me of a doctor's bag, and other Hermes-style bags which use a front-facing lock as the defining accessory. The bag is small but still fits all my necessary items: cellphone, wallet, lip balm, and hand sanitizer; I have a feeling it could fit more though considering the depth.
Seller Satisfaction Rating -
9.5/10 As some other wagooners mentioned, Heddy is lightning-fast on the reply and I was able to communicate with her well. The process was very clear to me as a beginner and Heddy helped streamline that process. I take 0.5 off for the lack of a tracking number, which I've seen other sellers are reported to provide. When I asked for one, Heddy ignored my message lol. I know I can't get that mad though-- the sellers must keep on the DL to be able to provide us with lovely bags. But man, did I want to know where my bag was!
CPR -
9.5/10 I've only worn the bag out once, but I just know this bag is going to be hard-wearing. Given that it costs but a fraction of the RP and I can wear it out with confidence, I'd say it's a very good investment. Was I minorly disappointed in the little flaws? Yes. Does it outweigh my joy in being able to own a gorgeous bag? HECK NO! As my foray into the rep world, I'm pretty proud I was able to find something this beautiful at
that price.
The Wrap Up - 8/10 Being but a neonate in the rep world and a nervous person in general, I don't think I would have the guts to have an SA handle my bag for fear that they might see something I don't. As long as I'm not standing
right up on the 16 section, I pretty confident this bag would pass the boutique test. This is a black bag, which tends to be very forgiving in my understanding of reps. In addition, the brand-recognition/trendiness of the 16 is way less than the flashier Triomphe in my opinion, so I think I have a decreased chance of this bag even being recognized in public. My extended family isn't up-to-date on the latest Celine, so I definitely don't have a problem wearing it out in front of them. Given its color and the structure of the exterior, this bag is not calloutable by the regular eye.
Thank you wagooners for your guidance and I hope this review helps anybody considering buying this bag! ;)

2023.06.08 00:46 LaAdrian [Offline][5e][Round Rock, Tx][Monday, 6pm] Want to learn to play Dungeons and Dragons, meet others and form groups, maybe even participate in a raffle?
Howdy, my names Adrian and for the past few months my friends and I have been playing D&D on Monday nights. We’ve had a lot of fun and I think my players have come a long from having zero knowledge. So now, we would like to extend our game nights to the community!
I’m working on submitting a proposal to my workplace to host a monthly ‘Learn to play ‘X’ TTRPG’ nights. Right now I’m trying to gauge interest and accommodations for said event. It would be in a safe public space at
Anchor Bar, open to all ages, LGBTQIA+ friendly, and free with some minor exceptions.
Those minor exceptions would be: if you order food or drinks, or if you choose to buy a ticket to enter the raffle. I don’t want to spend a lot of time talking about the raffle here, because I don’t want anybody here to think of this as some sort of advertisement.
Otherwise players and DM’s of any experience level are welcome. This event will be a mix of session zero, lessons on basic rules, going over lines and veils and capped off with a very short adventure to bring all those things together. This events date has yet to be nailed down, as I’m trying to gather information to make it work.
If you are in the area and think you would want to participate please respond to this brief survey:

2023.06.07 20:43 Future_Ad_3485 The Swallow and the Mad Hatter Part Eleven: A Lilac in the Bayou
Laying in bed, my hand rested on my bump. How did I end like this? Demonic and pregnant, that very statement sounding like a cheap movie title. Demy slumbered next to me, the day was ours to be had. Demy promised me a date today, and I suppose I should take it. Swinging my feet over the edge of the bed, a black box waited for me. Opening the top, my breath was stolen from me. Golden lace sparrows flew over a scarlet rockabilly dress, my shaking fingers pulling it out. Holding it to my body, the measurements were exact to me. The mattress creaked as Demy sat up, the morning sun bathing his handsome features.
“Do you like it? I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully, it will fit.” He yawned groggily, rubbing his eyes. “I also ordered new jeans for you, considering that they won’t fit eventually. Try it on.” Tugging on my snug bra, the dress fit perfectly. Loving the way the skirt floated away from me, Demy was already dressed in a simple black dress shirt and dark jeans. His casual look threw me off, a scythe charm dangled off of his wrists. Staring at him with pure bewilderment, he tugged his hair into a neat man bun. Shrugging his shoulders, he sauntered over to me. His hungry eyes devoured me.
“I like it very much.” I stammered with a fluttering heart. Wrapping his arm around the small of my waist, his lips pressed against mine passionately. Arching my body towards him, time stopped once more. Why did this keep happening! Releasing me from his spell, his forehead pressed against mine.
“I forgot to tell you that I can disguise myself. Now I look like an albino goth.” He explained playfully, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. “Let me fix your hair.” Brushing through it, he twisted it into a simple side braid. Kicking over my boots, he kissed my forehead while I slid on my boots. Spinning around the room, he swung me underneath him. Smothering me in kisses, he placed me on his back. Walking downstairs, we burst out onto the busy street. People smiled at us as he took every turn to an abandoned mansion. Vines had claimed the red brick, the metal porches barely hanging on.
“I bought it for us.” He proclaimed proudly, placing his hands on his hips. “I thought it was time we got a place of our own. What do you think?” Tears welled up in my eyes, my hand falling on my bump. He didn’t have to, my other hand clenching into a tight ball. Glancing up at the top window, a lone female spirit floated in her flowing nightgown. Cocking my head, shadowy hands ripped her back. Bursting through the front door, dust covered the water damaged walls. Sprinting upstairs, my fingers curled around my staff. The stairs creaked dangerously underneath my boots, a jump in the air saving me from a painful fall as the steps crumbled. Landing on the metal railing, my boots clanged against the metal with every step. A ghost was in trouble, the scene shifting around me. Demy caught up to me, the inside of the house rewinding back in time. Pristine walls with ornate wallpaper greeted me, Demy letting out a long sigh.
“We are trapped in another time bubble.” He groaned to himself, rubbing his forehead. “We know the only way out is to kill the ghost who brought us here. This bubble reeks of something else though. Can you smell the sulfur?” Sniffing the air, he wasn’t wrong. Hiding me underneath the staircase, my breath hitched at his body pressed against mine. A man with chocolate brown hair and caramel eyes landed inches from us, blood pouring from his eyes. A child’s scream snapped me from my horror filled trance, a thirteen year old girl ran by us with her long brown waves flying behind her. A shadow figure chased after her, a jagged blade sliding through her chest. Watching the ruby drops hit the floor, the worn wooden handle became stained with her blood. Dropping to the floor, her hand reached for me. The demon snapped its head towards us, rows of bloody fangs clicked together. Spinning his blade in his palm, his wrist flicked abruptly, Demy’s back caught the blade, his scythe charm glowing red hot. Pushing the knife out with his muscles, the charm grew to its full size. Ravens cawed behind him, the bracelet turning back into his top hat. Scarlet flames twisted with golden flames, the feathers floating behind me. Cocking his head back, crazed laughter burst from his lips.
“You are going to have to find me first.” He taunted cruelly, clapping his hands. “I will never let you claim my home.” Demy narrowed his eyes in his direction, the annoyance disappearing into the floor. Coming out of our hiding spot, jazz music played outside. Creeping around the corner, my flames died down for a second. A pile of bright yellow liquid coated the spot he went through, Demy crouching down to examine it.
“He is ancient.” He grumbled under his breath, his kind gaze watched me take in the information. “The brighter the sulfur the older they are.” Feeling stupid for not understanding him, the solution wasn’t obvious to me. Shifting uncomfortably, no words came to the tip of my tongue. The ghost of the girl floated over to me, tears flowing endlessly down her cheeks. Her hair floated up behind her, her quaking hands gripping her ragged nightgown. Her milky eyes met mine, surprise rounding her eyes at my outreached hand.
“We are going to get rid of him for you. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can free you because of the whole murder thing. Maybe we can find your father.” I offered sincerely, her icy hands cupping mine. “We can turn on the television for you every now and then. I’ll even cook your favorite foods so you can smell them. The one thing you have to do is help me out. Can you do that?” The spirit of the father floated around the corner, his snow white hair danced wildly. Fixing his mustache, his milky eyes fell on us. Dusting off his suit, he cleared his throat. Holding out his hand, I gave it one good firm shake.
“I am Mr. Smillet and that is my daughter Milly. We would love to help you.” He introduced himself politely, ruffling his daughter’s hair. “Unfortunately, we can’t leave because of an eternal curse on the land but your idea sounds lovely. Let’s make this place a home once more.” Floating through the floor, his head popped up through the center of the hole.
“This is going to sound backwards but he is in the attic.” He chirped warmly, pulling himself out. “We will lead the way.” Walking past the photos of them, the nineteen twenties raged outside. Stopping at the attic door, they took a step back. Thanking them silently, we pushed the door open. Pressing our backs against the wall, the stairs creaked with every step. Glancing behind me, the door slammed shut behind us. The only light flickered, my heart seconds from beating out of my chest. Pop! A sea of darkness swallowed us, cold breezes lashing our cheeks. Summoning my flames, my heart sank into the pit of my stomach at his face inches from mine. Slamming my heel into his chest, he smashed into the wall. Climbing the stairs, I kicked a pile of boxes down the stairs. Spinning my scythe over my head, balls of flames whipped in his direction. Stopping them before they hit him, he raised his hand over his head. Hundreds of those damn daggers spun over his head, my metal feathers destroying them upon impact. Snapping his fingers, cold hands smashed through the floorboards. Slicing my palm on an exposed nail, Demy seemed to be dealing with his own problems. Smearing my hand on the wall, the scent was enough for me to summon my pets. Whistling sharply, the attic door rattled violently. Wet snarls echoed on the other side, my three pets taking him down to the ground. Pulling his gun from his pocket, Demy towered over the howling demon. Pressing his gun to his forehead, his finger tugged on the trigger. His bullet burst from the end, his body decaying to ash. My pets bounded up to me, their tails wagging a mile a minute. Rubbing their bellies, they melted into puddles.
“Who are good doggies!” I spoke with my dog mom’s voice, tongues licking my face left and right. The time bubble still remained, my eyes narrowing. Something felt off, a glowing orb bounced in the corner. Walking over to it cautiously, the ball of light floated into my clammy palm. Tears welled up in my eyes, the spirit was her mother. The real reason the time bubble existed was because of her, her soul purpose had been served. She stayed behind to protect them, one more thing stopping her.
“I need you to promise to take care of them.” She spoke gently, the orb floating in the air. “I can’t stay here because I dragged myself outside of the property line. I need to know that they will be okay.” Drops of light hit the floor, sobs bounced off the wall. Demy embraced me from behind, his chin resting on my head. Flashing the orb with his crooked grin, the drops of light slowed to a halt.
“We vow to give them a lovely afterlife. I was thinking we could give them the attic.” He promised sincerely, kissing the top of my head. “We can furnish the space as they wish. Then they can hang out with us downstairs. How does that sound?” Thinking for a minute, the orb floated into the sky. The time bubble glitched, a dusty attic greeting us. Pressing my palm to the splintered floor, a bright light blinded us. Covering his eyes, the light died down. Pristine floors brushed against my palm, a neat bedroom pleased me. The simple furniture would do, a picture of the girl's family hung on the wall. Running downstairs, the two spirits waited on the other side of the door. Opening the door for them, I motioned for them to go on up. Gasps of wonder bounced off the wall, my eyes scanning the scarlet walls. The hall seemed empty, my fingers tracing the one ancient mirror. Demy’s jaw dropped, my finger picking it up.
“If I can heal living things I can bring inanimate objects back to life.” I bragged with a wide grin, poking it to see if it was real. “I didn’t think I could do this well. We do have to get some furniture though. I could only manifest theirs because it had existed at one point. Do you like it?” Parting his lips to speak, a distraught woman sprinted in. One of our marks entered the hall, I put my foot out. Not seeing my foot, his face smashed onto the floor. Pressing my staff into his back, he put his hands up. The silky onyx hair contrasted the restored wooden floors, my three dogs surrounding him.
“If you move a fucking muscle you'll become dog chow.” I snapped hotly, flaming feathers hovered over him. “Tell me why you were cha-” My face dead panned at my former colleague charging at me with a haunted expression. Grabbing her by the arm, I tossed her over my head. The floor groaned in protest, the boards repairing themselves. Examining her closer, her eyes were ruby. Her lilac waves cascaded down her back, the white frilly Lolita dress hugged her petite body. A diamond collar sparkled on her neck, my eyes falling on the inky stain spreading on the white lace. Sniffing the air, I let them both go. A nasty bugger limped down the hall, a curved lilac blade quivered in his sludgy back. Demy raised his scythe, his ravens cawing behind him. Harsh winds blew our hair around, my flames roaring to life. Crouching down to their level, I yanked both of the heads up by their hair.
“If I help you, you join my army. No ifs, and or buts.” I barked sternly, the two of them nodding. “Sit back and watch the show.” Resting against the wall, her master fussed over her. Spinning my staff over my head, flaming feathers landed in the body. Demy leapt over my head, his scythe cutting into the body. The demon roared, horror rounding our eyes as it absorbed our power. Opening up its mouth, a wall of lilacs blocked its path. An idea came to mine, the flames of the burning lilacs illuminating my features.
“We need to hit it with everything we have.” I whispered so it wouldn’t hear, bewildered expressions meeting my determined grin. “You have trust in me.” Allowing my powers to build up at the top of my staff, Demy’s pure power built at the end of his scythe. Swinging our weapons at the same time, a rush of hot air blew our hair back. Taking the mirror off the wall, I held it in front of us. Let’s see how much power he could take. Demy held me by my hips in preparation for the impact. Absorbing the power as I had planned, a beam of our power slid us back a few feet. The beam hit him, the cracks beginning to form on his skin. Absorbing the doubled energy, he blasted the mirror again. The frame creaked, the beam striking the mirror once more. Demy held me down with all of his strength. The game of tennis continued until the energy decayed him into a pile of ash. Lowering the mirror, the house repaired itself. Demy huffed behind me, his arm spinning me around. Kissing me hungrily, he seemed grateful that I was alive. Crouching down to her level, Demy’s top hat absorbed his scythe and ravens.
“Where is she wounded? I won’t hurt her. I want to heal her.” I assured him kindly, the fellow demon taking a step back. “Do you mind?” Lifting up her dress, a nasty spike stuck out of her back. Ripping it out, she cussed like a sailor. Hovering my hand over the gaping wound, her muscle fused back together. Watching her skin patch itself, a nasty scar throbbed underneath my touch. Demy kicked her blade over, her trembling fingers gripping the worn leather hilt with raw terror.
“You must be Davidos Darth and Lilac Mattson. These two defected a couple of years ago.” Demy explained calmly, the petite woman embracing me graciously. “They were just hunted down by one of her sludgy monsters. The Golden Lion must be after you. The question is why.” A two year old girl peeked out from around the corner, her lilac waves grazing the floor. A white summer dress floated away from her body, her ruby eyes falling on me. A bright smile illuminated Lilac’s purple lips, the girl’s purple lips curling into a matching smile.
“Mommy!” She cried out, Lilac tossing me to the floor as she caught her daughter. “I am glad you are safe. I hid in my invisibility bubble like you told me too. Who is the pretty lady?” Crouching down to her level, I held out my hand.
“I am Scarlet Deaclon, your mother’s best friend. How do you feel about living here? Is that alright with your mother?” I inquired sweetly, her face lighting up. “I can’t have you guys running like that. I will put a protection spell on the house if it makes you feel better. Us defectors have to stick together.” Silent tears stained Lilac’s cheek, Davidos seemed seconds from crying.
“Seriously, I can’t have you guys on the street. Fight with me and we can have a miniature family.” I continued jovially, ruffling the girl’s beautiful hair. “I can also babysit if you need it.” Lilac began to sob, several fresh cuts and bruises caught my eyes.
“Why are you being so nice?” She wept softly, wiping away her tears. “I don’t deserve it. We left in s-” Putting my hand in the air, confusion mixed with sadness. Cupping her face, she quaked underneath my touch.
“She is the best reason to leave.” I comforted her kindly, my three dogs bounding up to the little girl. “Don’t worry they don’t bite. What’s her name?” Oreo, Stripes, and Darkness smothered her in love, the girl's giggles twinkled in the air. The four of them played as Davidos helped Lilac to her feet, Demy pacing back and forth. An irritated growl rumbled in his throat, a hand on his shoulder calming him down. He had to know that we needed allies, his lips brushing against the top of my head. Fishing around his pocket, a worn pocket knife sat in my palm. Cutting the blade across my palm, my eyes watched the blood pool. Drawing a powerful protection spell on the wall, the house rattled the moment I slammed my palm onto the wall. A golden dome hummed to life around the house. Mouthing a silent spell, five necklaces appeared in my palms. Golden feathers dangled off of the golden chains, no words being said as I passed them out.
“These will protect you when you leave the house.” I informed them with my real smile, dropping the necklace over the little girl’s head. “This should increase your ability to become invisible.” Clearing her throat, she stood in the attention position. Holding her head up high, Demy grinned at her proud stance.
“I am Lavender.” She introduced herself boldly, cupping my hands. “I vow to be your ally.” Chuckling softly to myself, my hand fell to my stomach absentmindedly. Hoping my kid was this awesome, hope glittered in her eyes. Demy spun me on my heels, placing my necklace over my head. Hooking his elbow in mine, he glanced back with concern.
“We are going to pick up some grub. Is pizza okay?” He asked with his crooked grin, their heads nodding. “We will be right back.” Guiding me out the door, our neighbors stared at us long and hard. Waving to them, they waved back awkwardly. Letting the moonlight bathe me, he spun me around. Holding me by the small of my waist, scarlet colored my cheeks.
“Did you see that adorable little girl? Do you think ours will be as awesome?” He mused playfully, kissing my lips feverishly. A goofy look dawned on my face, the feather necklace I made glittered on his shirt. Following my gaze, he fiddled with the magical charm.
“I would be a fool not to wear what my wife made for me.” He continued happily, his hand sliding down to my slight bump. Getting onto his knees, his lips brushed against the surface. Hugging my bump, a deeper crimson rose to my cheeks. People watched with warm smiles, the older couples holding each other tighter. Rising to his feet, he hooked his elbow in mine. Making me feel like the lead in a romance novel, pride swelled in his eyes. Walking me to the local pizza place, a warmth came over me. A shadow figure darted in the distance, the serenity leaving my mind. What the hell was that?

2023.06.07 20:13 anatosta Does your day also get ruined by a very small inconvenience?
I’ve been finding myself struggling with my emotional regulation more than I usually do. The last couple of weeks have been particularly hard, even if most of the issues that have been causing me stress have been sorted or are close to being sorted.
Then, there was today. I’ve been waiting for a package since last week; nothing special or anything, just some supplements and nail polishes. Last night, I got a notification that the package would be delivered today and, quite excitedly, I began sorting out the day in my own head.
I woke up, got breakfast, worked on a few projects (I WFH), ran some errands and had fully intended on taking the afternoon to do some self-care, since my self-esteem has been in the dumps and I’ve really let myself go. Of course, painting my nails was fully on the schedule (I rarely do that anyway) and I was laser focused on the lavender shade I had ordered.
The day went by. No package arrived. My mood plummeted and I feel distraught. OVER FREAKING NAIL POLISH. Note: I do maybe realise the issue here isn’t really the nail polish.
I feel numb and like an idiot. I keep beating myself up in my head because it’s, quite frankly, idiotic that I’m feeling this way over something this minimal.
I’ve always been one to really struggle with small inconveniences, but, for crying out loud, it’s just nail polish.
How do you guys approach these kinda of situations? Plans changing, that sort of thing (not nail polish).

2023.06.07 05:48 BecauseIDidntCare Performance Problems on 10G Fiber
This is going to be a long post, so stick with me. I want to lay out the hardware I'm working with before I describe the issue.
2 Hosts, Identical in Hardware, One on Proxmox 6.4 (I know) and one on Proxmox 7.4:
- Dell T620
- Intel Xeon E5 2690V2s (Two per host)
- 128GB of RAM
- Intel X520-DA2 10G nic
1 Dell R420 running Truenas:
- Intel Xeon E5-2440 x2
- 98GB of RAM
- PCIE M.2 on a PCIE riser, 500GB
- 8 Samsung 870 Evos 2TB
- Intel X520-DA2 10G nic
- PERC H310 Mini Monolithic in IT mode (as best as I understand it these are basically LSI 9211-8i cards)
All three of which are connected to a MicroTik CRS310-1G-5S-4S+IN in the 10G Slots, the MicroTik is on latest and greatest. They are connected with OM3 Fiber.
Still with me? Okay. I've got all the TrueNas disks in a single VDEV with the M.2 configured for L2ARC, sharing a single dataset with NFS. The NFS share is mapped to both hosts. The hosts are not in a cluster (yet) on Proxmox and I plan on updating the 6.4 one once I get this issue fixed. The data that I've got on the storage via NFS on the hosts is the OS disks of all my VMs.
Now for the problem and it's a doozy. Ultimately, the speed that I would expect to see from those "raided" SSDs is just not there. An absolute maximum I have been able to get out of them has been about 1ish Gbps RX/TX according to TrueNas' interface for the NIC. Nothing above that speed when a disk load is applied. I'm testing disk load with CrystalDiskMark on my VMs against their C: drives (again the drives that are on the TrueNas box, shared to the hosts with NFS). The thing that I noticed when testing was that VMs on the 6.4 host actually perform better than the VMs on the 7.4 Host.
I have not been able to nail down this problem. Here is what I have done to test/change and the results of them:
- Eliminated the MikroTik switch and plugged the hosts fiber directly into the truenas = Same performance, ish +/- 5%
- Changed from iSCSI sharing to NFS, Proxmox does NOT get along with iSCSI = Huge performance jumps, this is where we're at now
- Updating BIOS of hosts = no change
- Changing VM disk modes, from Sata to SCSI = no change
- Built TrueNas Tuneables out following this guide = minor performance gains +/- 3%
- Tested different transceivers on both the PCIE NICs and the MicroTik = Same performance
- Tested different X520s = Same performance
- Ran IPERF3 speed tests from host to TrueNas box = Shows a 10Gbps link even under disk load
Truenas CPU loads look fine under disk load, ~15-50% spiking but nothing solid as I can't get sustainably higher speeds. I'm really not sure where else to go from here. I know that the PERC Monolithic card isn't the biggest performer but shouldn't I see higher IOPS on the network interface on truenas than 1Gbps?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I have googled to my heart's content but nothing so far has made any real difference. And I would appreciate if the answer was not "buy more stuff". I've spent decent money on this already and I'd like to try an see better results with current hardware before buying entirely new servers.

2023.06.06 18:34 SwordfishOk960 Bad car situation and mileage reimbursement
For reference I drive NK around in my personal car and do not get mileage reimbursement, but I use their credit card for gas. I live in TX.
So recently my car AC went out and it’s going to cost $1,700 to repair. DB sent me $400 to help out which I appreciate so much. I just had to get all four tires replaced because one had a nail and the tread on the others were unsafe. I got them replaced today and that was $500.
Since driving NK, I’ve had to get oil changes more often and my tread wears down faster. Just normal maintenance, but I need it more often. Should I ask for mileage reimbursement? I feel like I would be taking advantage of them since they do so much for me and just gave me $400 extra for my car. Idk if there’s any laws regarding it since I’m in TX.
- Parents, would you feel like this is too much to ask for with my situation? Should I wait to have this conversation?
- Nannies, any advice is welcomed!!!

2023.06.05 22:09 TAexclusiveSide Wearing makeup to my sports club for the first time, here's how it went
I've been going to a sports club with a group of ~20 people from my employer for almost a year now, always presented masculine. Until today.
I had already done my makeup before going to get my nails done (one hand rainbow, the other pale lavender) so I thought f it, it's pride month plus I'm lazy, I'm not gonna remove my makeup. So I got to the sports centre and was a bit nervous by then, no turning back now.
I got into the sports hall and it was almost exactly the same as if I didn't have any makeup or nail polish. One guy I get on well with even complimented my makeup :) and otherwise the people acted as if nothing was different! A bit anticlimactic but that's kinda been my entire experience going femboy in public... Never negative, sometimes wholesome like today :3
Hope y'all can get the confidence to be yourself out there 💜 it's so worth it! At least in the UK it's never been as bad as I worried it would be.
P.s. yeah I know it was stupid to get my nails done right before sport but I managed to only get a 0.1mm chipped edge on one nail so it worked out in the end :3

Because it might be difficult to maneuver clippers into confined spaces, they are not recommended for clipping hangnails. They are still far preferable to pulling the dead skin into the quick or biting it off with your teeth. Wide mouth clippers made of carbon steel are sturdy and can cut nails of various shapes. Additionally, they are acetone-proof and corrosion-resistant. HANGNAIL TRIMMING PROCEDURE If you don't have cuticle nippers, once you've sterilized them, use a good pair of fingernail scissors. Germs that could infect the hangnail will be eliminated by soaking them in rubbing alcohol. Once you've finished, trim any extra skin with clippers, nippers, or manicure scissors. As much of the dead skin as you can without hurting yourself should be removed. Next, dab a little petroleum jelly or moisturizer over the area. Rubing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide will further dry up the skin and impede the healing process, so avoid using them if the hangnail is bleeding. Instead, stop the bleeding with a fresh tissue and, if necessary, apply an antibiotic cream. If the wound hurts or is likely to bleed again, use a thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer or a bandage. This avoids jams and other issues. MANIPULATION TRAVEL KIT Stop searching the drawer for all the necessary equipment. Instead, this useful, lovely pouch neatly stores clippers, a cuticle pusher, a nail file, scissors, and more. Cuticles should be pushed back using a cuticle pusher or an orange stick rather than being cut. When the skin is supple and damp from a shower, it is simple to perform. yournailsupplier An excellent technique to control cuticles without having to trim them and running the danger of developing hangnails is with a cuticle softener or remover. Oil and lanolin have been added to this virtually odorless product to combat dryness. Then, if your hands aren't staying moisturized with ordinary lotion, try an emollient cream or petroleum jelly. On damp skin, thick creams and oils work best since they can lock in moisture. For added hydration, you might also treat your hands and feet to a spa service. Collagen Gloves, VOESH Dry skin can be rejuvenated in just 15 minutes with these collagen-infused gloves. But given that they leave the skin feeling silky smooth and pampered, we predict you'll want to wear them for longer. Argan oil and shea butter, two vegan components, are abundant in them. Limit your exposure to acetone when removing your manicure because it dries out the skin. Try different polish removers or switch to a more easily removable type of polish. Another choice is to use acetone only where it is most necessary. Wraps for OPI Expert Touch Removal Instead than soaking the fingers in acetone, use these expert nail wraps to concentrate the solvent solely on the nails. 2023.06.05 04:26 Tangou-888 The Hoax Story of Remarkable Testimony of a Buddhist monk in Myanmar (Burma) (Part I)
The Hoax Story of Remarkable Testimony of a Buddhist monk in Myanmar (Burma) who came back to life a changed man! Introduction The story that follows is simply a translation of a taped testimony from a man with a life-changing story. It is not an interview or a biography, but simply the words from the man himself. Different people react in different ways when they hear this story. Some are inspired, some skeptical, a few will mock and ridicule, while some others have even been filled with rage and anger, convinced these words are the ravings of a mad man or an elaborate deception. Some Christians have opposed the story simply because the radical and miraculous events described herein do not fit their feeble image of an Almighty God. We were first made aware of this story from several Burmese church leaders who shared it with us. These leaders had looked into the story and had not found any suggestion of it being a hoax. It was with this in mind that we decided to step out and circulate the story. We do not do so for any monetary gain, or with a motivation of self-promotion. We just want to let the story speak for itself, and invite Christian believers to judge it according to Scripture. If God wants any part of it to be intended for His glory or to encourage His people, then we pray His Spirit will work in the hearts of the readers in those ways. Some people have told us they think the monk in this story never actually died, but that he just lapsed into unconsciousness, and the things he saw and heard were part of a fever-driven hallucination. Whatever you think, the simple fact remains that the events of this story so radically transformed this man that his life took on a complete 180-degree shift after the events described below. He has fearlessly and boldly told his story at great personal cost, including imprisonment. He has been scorned by his relatives, friends and colleagues, and faced death threats for his unwillingness to compromise his message. What motivated this man to be willing to risk everything? Whether we believe him or not, his story is surely worth listening to and considering. In the cynical West many people demand hard evidence of such things, evidence that would stand up in a court of law. Can we absolutely guarantee, beyond doubt, that all of these things happened? No, we cannot. But we feel it is worth repeating this man's story in his own words so that readers can judge for themselves. My Early Years Hello! My name is Athet Pyan Shinthaw Paulu. I am from the country of Myanmar. I would like to share with you my testimony of what happened to me, but first I would like to give some brief background information from my life growing up. I was born in 1958 in the town of Bogale, on the Irrawaddy Delta area of southern Myanmar [formerly Burma]. My parents, who were devout Buddhists like most people in Myanmar, named me Thitpin [which means 'tree' in English]. Our lives were very simple where I grew up. At the age of 13 I left school and started working on a fishing boat. We caught fish and sometimes also shrimp from the numerous rivers and streams in the Irrawaddy area. At the age of 16 I became the leader of the boat. At this time I lived in Upper Mainmahlagyon Island [Mainmahlagyon means 'Beautiful Woman Island' in English], just north of Bogale where I was born. This place is about 100 miles southwest of Yangon [Rangoon], our nation's capitol city. One day, when I was 17, we caught a large number of fish in our nets. Because of the many fish, a large crocodile was attracted to us. It followed our boat and tried to attack us. We were terrified so we frantically rowed our boats toward the riverbank as fast as we could. The crocodile followed us and smashed our boat with its tail. Although no one died in this incident, the attack greatly affected my life. I no longer wanted to fish. Our small boat sank because of the crocodile attack. We had to go home to our village that night on a passenger boat. Not long after, his employers transferred my father to Yangon City [formerly spelt Rangoon]. At the age of 18 I was sent to a Buddhist monastery to be a novice monk. Most parents in Myanmar try to send their son into a Buddhist monastery, at least for a time, as it is considered a great honor to have a son serve in this way. We have been observing this custom for many hundreds of years.
A Zealous Disciple of Buddha When I turned 19 years and 3 months old (in 1977), I became a normal monk. The senior monk at my monastery gave me a new Buddhist name, which is the custom in our country. I was now called U Nata Pannita Ashinthuriya. When we become a monk we no longer use the name given to us at birth by our parents. The name of the monastery I lived at is called Mandalay Kyaikasan Kyaing. The senior monk's name was called U Zadila Kyar Ni Kan Sayadaw [U Zadila is his title]. He was the most famous Buddhist monk in all of Myanmar at the time. Everyone knew who he was. He was widely honored by the people and respected as a great teacher. I say he "was" because in 1983 he suddenly died when he was involved in a fatal car accident. His death shocked everyone. At the time I had been a monk for six years. I tried hard to be the best monk I could and to follow all the precepts of Buddhism. At one stage I moved to a cemetery where I lived and meditated continually. Some monks who really want to know the truths of Buddha do things like I did. Some move deep into the forests where they live a life of self-denial and poverty. I sought to deny my selfish thoughts and desires, to escape from sickness and suffering and to break free from the cycle of this world. At the cemetery I was not afraid of ghosts. I tried to attain such inner peace and self-realization that even when a mosquito landed on my arm I would let it bite me instead of brushing it off! For years I strived to be the best monk I could and not to harm any living being. I studied the holy Buddhist teachings just like all my forefathers had done before me. My life proceeded as a monk until I got very, very sick. I was in Mandalay at the time and had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. The doctors did some tests on me and told me I had both Yellow Fever and malaria at the same time! After about one month in the hospital I was getting worse. The doctors told me there was no chance for me to recover and discharged me to make arrangements to die. This is a brief description of my past. I would now like to tell you some of the remarkable things that happened to me after this times...
A Vision that Changed My Life Forever After I was discharged from the hospital I went back to the monastery where other monks cared for me. I grew weaker and weaker and was lapsing into unconsciousness. I learned later that I actually died for three days. My body decayed and stunk of death, and my heart stopped beating. My body was prepared for cremation and was put through traditional Buddhist purification rites. Although I faded away in my body I remember my mind and spirit were fully alert. I was in a very, very powerful storm. A tremendous wind flattened the whole landscape until there were no trees or anything else standing, just a flat plain. I walked very fast along this plain for some time. There were no other people anywhere, I was all alone. After some time I crossed a river. On the other side of the river I saw a terrible, terrible lake of fire. In Buddhism we do not have a concept of a place like this. At first I was confused and didn't know it was hell until I saw Yama, the king of hell [Yama is the name ascribed to the King of Hell in numerous cultures throughout Asia]. His face looked like the face of a lion, his body was like a lion, but his legs were like a naga [serpent spirit]. He had a number of horns on his head. His face was very fierce, and I was extremely afraid. Trembling, I asked him his name. He replied, "I am the king of hell, the Destroyer." The terrible, terrible lake of fire The king of hell told me to look into the lake of fire. I looked and I saw the saffron colored robes that Buddhist monks wear in Myanmar. I looked closer and saw the shaven head of a man. When I looked at the man's face I saw it was U Zadila Kyar Ni Kan Sayadaw [the famous monk who had died in a car accident in 1983]. I asked the king of hell why my former leader was confined to this lake of torment. I said, "Why is he in this lake of fire? He was a very good teacher. He even had a teaching tape called 'Are You a Man or a Dog?' which had helped thousands of people understand that their worth as humans is far greater than the animals." The king of hell replied, "Yes, he was a good teacher but he did not believe in Jesus Christ. That's why he is in hell." I was told to look at another person who was in the fire. I saw a man with very long hair wrapped on the left hand side of his head. He was also wearing a robe. I asked the king of hell, "Who is this man?" He replied, "This is the one you worship: Gautama [Buddha]." I was very disturbed to see Gautama in hell. I protested, "Gautama had good ethnics and good moral character, why is he suffering in this lake of fire?" The king of hell answered me, "It doesn't matter how good he was. He is in this place because he did not believe in the Eternal God." I then saw another man who looked like he was wearing a soldier's uniform. He had a large wound on his chest. I asked, "Who is this man?" The king of hell said, "This is Aung San, the revolutionary leader of Myanmar." I was told, "Aung San is here because he persecuted and killed Christians, but mostly because he didn't believe in Jesus Christ." In Myanmar the people have a common saying, "Soldiers never die, they live on." I was told that the legions of hell have a saying "Soldiers never die, but they go to hell forever." I looked and saw another man in the lake of fire. He was a very tall man and he was dressed in military armor. He was also holding a sword and a shield. This man had a wound on his forehead. This man was taller than any person I have ever seen. He was six times the length between a man's elbow and the tips of his fingers when he stretches his arm out straight, plus one span of a man's fingers when he spreads out his hand. The king of hell said, "This man's name is Goliath. He is in hell because he blasphemed the Eternal God and His servant David." I was confused because I didn't know who either Goliath or David were. The king of hell said, "Goliath is recorded in the Christian Bible. You don't know him now, but when you become a Christian you will know who he is."
I was then taken to a place where I saw both rich and poor people preparing to eat their evening meals. I asked, "Who cooked the food for these people?" The king of hell replied, "The poor have to prepare their own food, but the rich people get others to cook for them." When the food had been prepared for the rich people they sat down to eat. As soon as they started a thick smoke came up. The rich people ate as fast as they could to ease their consciences. They were struggling to breath because of the smoke. They had to eat fast because they were fearful of losing their money. Their money is their god. Another king of hell then came to me. I also saw a being whose job is to stoke the fires beneath the lake of fire, to keep it hot. This being asked me, "Are you going into the lake of fire too?" I replied, "No! I am only here to observe!" The appearance of this creature stoking the fire was very terrifying. He had ten horns on his head and a spear in his hand that had seven sharp blades coming from the end. The creature told me, "You are right. You came here just to observe. I cannot find your name here." He said, "You must now go back the way you came." He pointed me toward the desolate plain that I had first walked along before I came to the lake of fire. The Road of Decision I walked a long time, until I was bleeding. I was hot and in great pain. Finally, after walking for about three hours I came to a wide road. I walked along this road for some time until I came to a fork. One road, going off to the left, was wide. A smaller road went off to the right hand side. There was a signpost at the fork saying that the road to the left was for those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The smaller road to the right was for believers in Jesus. I was interested to see where the larger road led so I started down it. There were two men walking about 300 yards ahead of me. I tried to catch up with them so I could walk with them but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't catch them up, so I turned around and went back to the fork in the road. I continued to watch these two men as they walked down the road away from me. When they reached the end of the road they were suddenly stabbed. These two men cried out in great pain! I also cried out when I saw what happened to them! I realized the bigger road ended in great danger for those who traveled down it. Looking into Heaven I started walking down the believers' road instead. After traveling for about one hour the surface of the road turned to pure gold. It was so pure that when I looked down I could see my own reflection perfectly. I then saw a man standing in front of me. He was wearing a white robe. I also heard beautiful singing. Oh, it was so beautiful and pure! It was much better and more meaningful than the worship we have in churches here on the earth. The man in the white robe asked me to walk with him. I asked him, "What is your name?" but he did not answer. After I asked his name six times the man answered, "I am the one who holds the key to heaven. Heaven is a very, very beautiful place. You cannot go there now but if you follow Jesus Christ you can go there after your life has finished on the earth." The man's name was Peter. Peter then asked me to sit down and he showed me a place to the north. Peter said, "Look to the north and see God create man." I saw the Eternal God from a distance. God spoke to an angel, "Let us make man." The angel pleaded with God and said, "Please don't make man. He will do wrong and will grieve you." [In Burmese literally: "He will make you lose face."]. But God created a man named anyway. God blew on the man and the man came to life. He gave him the name "Adam". [Note: Buddhists do not believe in the Creation of the world or of man, so this experience had a significant impact on the monk].
Sent Back with a New Name Then Peter said, "Now get up and go back to where you came from. Speak to the people who worship Buddha and who worship idols. Tell them they must go to hell if they don't change. Those who build temples and idols will also have to go to hell. Those who give offerings to the monks to earn merit for themselves with go to hell. All those who pray to the monks and call them 'Pra' [respectful title for monks] will go to hell. Those who chant and 'give life' to idols will go to hell. All those who don't believe in Jesus Christ will go to hell." Peter told me to go back to the earth and testify about the things I had seen. He also said, "You must speak in your new name. From now on you are to be called Athet Pyan Shinthaw Paulu ["Paul who Came Back to Life."]. I didn't want to go back. I wanted to go to heaven. Angels opened a book. First they looked for my childhood name (Thitpin) in the book, but they could not find it. They then looked for the name I had been given when he entered the Buddhist monk hood (U Nata Pannita Ashinthuriya) but it wasn't written in the book either. Then Peter said, "Your name is not written here, you must return and testify about Jesus to the Buddhist people." I walked back along the gold road. Again I heard beautiful singing, the kind of which I have never heard before or since. Peter walked with me until the time I returned to the earth. He showed me a ladder that reached down from the heaven to the sky. The ladder didn't reach to the earth, but stopped in mid-air. On the ladder I saw many angels, some going up to heaven and some going down the ladder. They were very busy. I asked Peter, "Who are they?" Peter answered, "They are messengers of God. They are reporting to heaven the names of all those who believe in Jesus Christ and the names of those who don't believe." Peter then told me it was time to go back. It is a Ghost! The next thing I was aware of was the sound of weeping. I heard my own mother cry out, "My son, why did you leave us now?" I also heard many other people weeping. I realized I was lying in a box. I started to move. My mother and father started shouting, "He is alive! He is alive!" Other people who were farther away did not believe my parents. I then placed my hands on the sides of the box and sat upright. Many people were struck with terror. They cried out, "It is a ghost!" and ran away as fast as their legs could carry them. Those who remained were speechless and trembling. I noticed I was sitting in smelly liquid and body fluids, enough to fill about three and a half cups. This was liquid that had come out of my stomach and my insides while my body was lying in the coffin. This is why people knew I had indeed been dead. Inside the coffin there was a type of plastic sheet fixed to the wood. This sheet is placed there to retain a corpse's liquids, because many dead bodies release much fluid like mine did. I learned later that I was just moments away from being cremated in the flames. In Myanmar people are placed in a coffin, the lid is then nailed shut, and the whole coffin is burned. When I came back to life my mother and father were being allowed to look at my body for the very last time. Moments later the lid of my coffin would have been nailed shut and I would have been cremated! I immediately started to explain the things I had seen and heard. People were astonished. I told them about the men I had seen in the lake of fire, and told them that only the Christians know the truth, that our forefathers and us have been deceived for thousands of years! I told them everything we believe is a lie. The people were astonished because they knew what kind of a monk I had been and how zealous I had been for the teachings of Buddha. In Myanmar when a person dies their name and age is written on the side of the coffin. When a monk dies, the monk's name, age and the number of years he has served as a monk are written on the side of the coffin. I had already been recorded as dead but as you can see, now I am alive! Epilogue Since 'Paul who came back to life' experienced the above story he has remained a faithful witness to the Lord Jesus Christ. Burmese pastors have told us that he had led hundreds of other monks to faith in Christ. His testimony is obviously very uncompromising. Because of that, his message has offended many people who cannot accept there is only one Way to Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ. Despite great opposition, his experiences were so real to him that he has not wavered. After many years in the Buddhist monk hood, as a strict follower of Buddhist teachings, he immediately proclaimed the Gospel of Christ following his resurrection and exhorted other monks to forsake all false gods and follow Jesus Christ with all their hearts. Before the time of his sickness and death he had no exposure to Christianity at all. Everything he learned during those three days in the grave was new to his mind. In a bid to get his message out to as many people as possible, this modern-day Lazarus began distributing audio and video cassette tapes with his story on them. The police and Buddhist authorities in Myanmar have done their utmost to gather these tapes up and destroy them. The testimony you have just read has been translated form one of those cassette tapes. We are told it is now quite dangerous for citizens of Myanmar to be in possession of these tapes. His fearless testimony has landed him in prison at least once, where the authorities failed in their bid to silence him. Upon his release he continued to testify of the things he saw and heard. His current whereabouts are uncertain. One Burmese informant told us he is prison and may have been killed, while another informant was told he is now released from prison and is continuing his ministry. (NDE = Near Death Experience). The Monk's story is identical. But the source is different. Details can be viewed at <> The message began with: "Buddhist Monk visits Hell" I believe this person died, body decay & rotten. He was then brought to those places by the LORD to show him some vision. <------- This is taken from a mission paper "Northside Missions Update" Northside Christian Centre 31-61 McLeans Road Bundoora Victoria 3083 Australia The same 'Monk's Story' followed. Then, exchange of interesting messages took place at the NDE.com Bulletin Board among NDE regulars, some of them are Christians, and finally, someone called 'Melvin', 'a Myanmar Buddhist', posted the following message and the discussion came to a close. The fact that the same story has re-surfaced in another form (cassette), perhaps in a another country is a bit disturbing! Best wishes to all our Triplegem members, MM Lwin ................................................................... submitted by
