I don't think people are complaining because the strategy of camping is so unreasonable; i think right now there is a lack of alternative strategies that are easy to accomplish so the only way to play with this load-out/biome is to camp and it limits how we choose to play with all of these cool features. Especially if we're playing in casual and trying to do quests and play for cosmetics, which is another valid reason to play. It's about a lack of balance for styles of play, not to say camping isn't an effective strategy.

Before I get to my question by no means am I writing this to offend anyone or be a troll. I am a transitioning traditional artist to digital. I want to make comics. However, in many digital art software ( like Clip Studio Paint which I am using ) I realized this popular thing many might be doing is using "image materials" and "stickers" created and uploaded to purchase by other artist. Like lighting effects and even actual objects and things and people. I have what I call "artist pride" and can't seem to not look at it as "cheating" and theft. I want to make work to it's tiniest detail that truly belongs to me. However, I know how speed and money has now taken over purity and honesty in art ( in my opinion ). Do any of you utilize image materials and stickers and image brushes on your work for your projects? Especially for lighting effects and backgrounds. I don't know what to do. I'm stuck whether I should give in or just do me. I know there is competition and a new view of what is quality now in this digital art age. What do you do? Help me out.

History of depression, anxiety, asthma, fibromyalgia, BPD ( though my mental health team is in a debate if I meet the criteria still), eating disorder, chronic migraines, and an unspecified sleep disorder and possible ADHD
I am on Concerta, duoloxitine, Rexulti, Clonazepam and blue and orange puffers. I’m sorry that I don’t have access to the exact doses of the medications right now, or the brand of the puffers. I haven’t used the puffers in a while.
Hopefully I’m doing this correctly, I’ve never done this before.
I started having mild vertigo about a week ago that would come and go. Today, I had an incident where I had almost a Tv static/VCR calibration effect over my vision, and 10 minutes later I had tinnitus in my left ear. Ever since then I’ve been extremely dizzy, like I’m a balloon tied to a boat on choppy water. Despite that, I went to work and while I was at my shift I was really struggling to understand what customers and coworkers were saying. A couple examples being, having an entire conversation about which sandwich I was ringing in and grabbing, and still ringing in and grabbing the wrong sandwich, and having to ask multiple times what a coworker was saying when he was asking me to do a simple task because I was having trouble processing his speech.When I stepped off the floor to try and collect myself my supervisor said I “looked pale” and should consider a trip to the ER.
I contacted an RN through my province and they also recommended that I go to the ER.
My blood pressure on arrival at the hospital was 174/106. They gave me a betahistine and said it was to bring down my blood pressure. They took blood work, a urine sample, and ecg. I was told that both the blood work and urine sample were normal, the ecg wasn’t mentioned, so I assume that was normal too. They dismissed me from the hospital with a blood pressure around 134/90 (I don’t remember the exact number I’m sorry.) the recommendation at the hospital was to take some gravol and follow up with my family doctor, “because being dizzy isn’t an emergency.” I’m still experiencing my symptoms. My ears were not checked, and there was no testing of my vertigo.
I’ve been under a decent amount of stress lately with work and gallbladder surgery recently. I’ve been experiencing a loss of appetite lately which I’ve been dismissing as a combination of stress and the Concerta.
There is a family history of high blood pressure, though I’ve generally never had issues with it. Both of my parents are diabetic. There is a history of strokes in the family but it’s two generations removed.
I haven’t started any medications lately. I haven’t done anything particularly out of the usual either.
Any tips on how to deal with the dizziness? Or ideas of what it might be? It’s really interfering with my ability to function. At times I’m even struggling to walk without a wall supporting me.
Please let me know if there is anything else I need to include.

2023.06.10 02:30 Reyaru I am tired of having depression
I'll be straightforward. I am really tired, tired of feeling sad and distressed. I have been living with this feeling of anguish and depression since I was 10 years old, and this damn feeling has never disappeared since it appeared in my life. No matter what I do, buy, consume, or experience, this feeling never goes away.
And it's not like I haven't tried, I've tried so damn hard to make this shitty feeling disappear. I have considered all the possibilities that could be causing this feeling to arise, and I have taken measures against many of them. Yet, the feeling of anguish continues to accompany me.
Could this anguish come from a lack of material possessions? No, no matter what I buy, my depression doesn't vanish. I have purchased most of my consumer dreams; I have a gaming PC worth over $7,000, a gaming monitor worth over $2,000. I have a collection of over 13 action figures, and I possess a collection of over 200 erotic games. I have had a CS inventory worth over $10,000. I have literally obtained many of my consumer dreams, and still, I haven't escaped depression.
Could it be the lack of someone special in my life that was causing my depression? No. I found a very special person in my life two years ago, and I married her. I love my wife so damn much; she would do anything for me, loves me deeply, and shows it to me every single day. We have a great relationship with no conflicts, and we have sex at least four times a week. How can someone be depressed while having sex almost every day? It doesn't make sense.
Could it be the lack of therapy that was making me feel bad? No, not that either. I underwent therapy from the age of 14 until I turned 18, and yes, therapy significantly improved my quality of life and my mindset. I don't think I would have made the decision to propose to my girlfriend if it weren't for my therapeutic process. But even after four years of therapy, I still haven't been able to overcome depression.
Would exercising and eating properly make me feel better? NO. I maintained a routine of exercising every day for two years. I won't lie; I looked better during that time, but exercise was just another way to keep myself focused on a task. I still felt depressed during moments of idleness. I admit that improving my diet made me slightly less anxious in my daily life, but once again, it didn't alleviate my depression.
I even spent over a thousand dollars on that transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment, and it was just a waste of money. It had no effect on me whatsoever. Depression medications didn't work either.
I don't have a perfect life, okay, but I am far from having a bad life. The life I'm living now is more or less what I wanted several years ago. What is wrong with me?
Sure, I'm not depressed 100% of the time. I don't feel depressed when I have to focus on something, like work or sex, for example. And since I spend a significant part of my day working, I feel depressed only for a short period of my daily life.
However, during my weekends, I have no tasks, I'm 100% idle, but due to my depression, I can't enjoy my free time. I've tried to focus on games, for instance, since focusing on something distracts me from my depression, but games are just that—distractions, not a solution.
For years, I have been finding temporary solutions for my depression, but nothing truly solves it. There is never a definitive solution or a habit I can adopt to make it disappear from my mind. Nothing works.
I don't like being the person who only points out problems and never seeks a solution. I HATE that kind of person, and I have genuinely been searching for a solution to my problem for years, but I never reach a satisfying outcome. It seems like I will live with depression forever.
I am already happy; it's not happiness I am seeking. I want peace. I want to sit in front of my PC and enjoy my game without feeling this fucking anguish. And it's not like I haven't tried, I've tried so damn hard to make this shitty feeling disappear. I have considered all the possibilities that could be causing this feeling to arise, and I have taken measures against many of them. Yet, the feeling of anguish continues to accompany me.
Could this anguish come from a lack of material possessions? No, no matter what I buy, my depression doesn't vanish. I have purchased most of my consumer dreams; I have a gaming PC worth over $7,000, a gaming monitor worth over $2,000. I have a collection of over 13 action figures, and I possess a collection of over 200 erotic games. I have had a CS inventory worth over $10,000. I have literally obtained many of my consumer dreams, and still, I haven't escaped depression.
Could it be the lack of someone special in my life that was causing my depression? No. I found a very special person in my life two years ago, and I married her. I love my wife so damn much; she would do anything for me, loves me deeply, and shows it to me every single day. We have a great relationship with no conflicts, and we have sex at least four times a week. How can someone be depressed while having sex almost every day? It doesn't make sense.
Could it be the lack of therapy that was making me feel bad? No, not that either. I underwent therapy from the age of 14 until I turned 18, and yes, therapy significantly improved my quality of life and my mindset. I don't think I would have made the decision to propose to my girlfriend if it weren't for my therapeutic process. But even after four years of therapy, I still haven't been able to overcome depression.
Would exercising and eating properly make me feel better? NO. I maintained a routine of exercising every day for two years. I won't lie; I looked better during that time, but exercise was just another way to keep myself focused on a task. I still felt depressed during moments of idleness. I admit that improving my diet made me slightly less anxious in my daily life, but once again, it didn't alleviate my depression.
I even spent over a thousand dollars on that transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) treatment, and it was just a waste of money. It had no effect on me whatsoever. Depression medications didn't work either.
I don't have a perfect life, okay, but I am far from having a bad life. The life I'm living now is more or less what I wanted several years ago. What is wrong with me?
Sure, I'm not depressed 100% of the time. I don't feel depressed when I have to focus on something, like work or sex, for example. And since I spend a significant part of my day working, I feel depressed only for a short period of my daily life.
However, during my weekends, I have no tasks, I'm 100% idle, but due to my depression, I can't enjoy my free time. I've tried to focus on games, for instance, since focusing on something distracts me from my depression, but games are just that—distractions, not a solution.
For years, I have been finding temporary solutions for my depression, but nothing truly solves it. There is never a definitive solution or a habit I can adopt to make it disappear from my mind. Nothing works.
I don't like being the person who only points out problems and never seeks a solution. I HATE that kind of person, and I have genuinely been searching for a solution to my problem for years, but I never reach a satisfying outcome. It seems like I will live with depression forever.
I am already happy; it's not happiness I am seeking. I want peace. I want to sit in front of my PC and enjoy my game without feeling this fucking anguish. I suffer from depression, mainly anhedonia, no interest in anything (not even sex, even though I'm a 18 yr old male), really tired all the time, no anxiety at all, can't even get nervous anymore, apathy, hypersomnia, can't feel anything, I feel completely empty, don't care about anything and by brain is going at 20% of what it used to which impacts my school and how I am socially. I also lost a lot of friend which you may have yourself, because I have no energi or interest in keeping them.
I have been on the following medications in order: fluoxetine, sertraline, duloxetine, duloxetine + abilify, nortripthylin + abilify, wellbutrin, marplan and now marplan + PEMF. I have currently been on 40/50 mg marplan for 4.5 weeks and pemf for 18 days. I feel absolutely no effect at all, and haven't with any of the all other ADs. At the start of marplan, I also started taking methylfolate, but don't feel anything from that either.

Hey guys! I've been loosely following what's been happening with the Reddit API changes. There's a few things I'm not fully understanding; I was hoping someone on here could help me out.
Disclaimer: I'm a software developer but have never interacted with the Reddit Data API.
From what I understand, Reddit is essentially going to start charging API users for access. I was reading these comments from the latest AMA with spez:

100 requests per minute sounds very reasonable. And then I started thinking, how else are these apps working today?
I saw that the Apollo developer made a GH repo available with the code for his app's backend. But, why does an app that is just a frontend for the Reddit API need to interface with its own backend? Do all of these 3rd-party apps have their own backend server that calls the Reddit API? What's the point of doing that?
Am I misunderstanding the free API tier and how a 3rd-party app could use it? Is there a reason why these apps need to use their own API key and not the end-users'?
I feel like I am definitely missing something here.

Hey guys, so today at work I had one colleague name me ‘condescending’, like ‘oh wow, you REALLY are condescending”. I’m from Europe so I thought I’d ask here, do people here in MASS really use that a lot or was I doing something wrong that made her name me like that? I know I’m not perfect so I always try to improve myself and always try to be as professional and as humble as I can. I really wonder if my overconfidence could have played a role today. Again, it’s not like I’m gonna start crying or anything I just want to know. Do you think I should apologize tomorrow even though I didn’t do something and just admit a mistake I had not done? Or maybe I had done?… It’s not my first time working in MASS, I’ve been here throughout the summer in 2021/2022 and then this year so I’m not new to how things are going here…. To incentivize non-tunneling a reward system would be nice. Basically turning the BBQ & Chilli perk bonus BP effect into a base game mechanic.
Bloodpoints bonus of 10000 per survivor hooked and a certain amount of Iridescent Shards or Auric Cells for each survivor hooked. How many of them? Not sure which amount would be balanced.
What about the strategy of hooking two survivors back to back? Well, the bonus rewards would only apply if the survivors are hooked separately.
In this scenario we have the following survivors: First: Feng Second: David Third: Claudette Fourth: Ace
Feng, David, Claudette, and Ace have been hooked once each, this is how the rewards will be made available after the match. Hooking a single survivor twice in a row before the first 4 hooks have happened would deactivate the rewards. After the first hook for each of them, the bloodpoints 40K Bloodpoints and a set amount of Iri Shards will be received. As an additional reward, Auric Cells can be rewarded for 8 or 12 hooks.
What about disconnection? It shouldn't be a problem since the new update is gonna include bots as replacement and the BP, Shards and Cells would be given.
This would discourage people from tunneling in my opinion.

My wife of 23years has BPD. She was diagnosed early in our marriage and worked very hard in therapy for around two years. A lot of what she was dealing with subsided. We didn’t discuss or address it much until this past year when after a very stressful few months that included moving to another state, change in jobs and the tragic loss of my mother, with whom my wife was very close too. We were both riddled with anxiety, ptsd and grieving. She chose to have an affair with a coworker. It was short lived but none the less absolutely devastating. Through our therapy it became very evident that her BPD was again in full swing. We are 6 months into reconciliation and the focus has been working on our individual selves. We both have IC’s and an MC. I have pushed her the last few months because I didn’t feel like she was working on her needs, but focused on me as I am suffering serious effects of grief and PTSD, and now PISD. As you can imagine she wants to avoid a lot of what she has going on because she doesn’t like to address anything that makes her feel bad. Everything she does has to make her feel good. Last week I discovered on our phone bill a lot of texts in a 5 day period to a number I didn’t know. At first when I asked her she told me it was a girl from her office named Erin that was new and she really liked. She showed me the texts and they were just back and forth banter about wine, comedians they liked, Tv shows etc. Good enough for me.
Late last week she went out of town for work and I noticed the phone bill again and saw over 300 texts to “Erin” in a 4 day period. (FYI, texting logs were how I found out about the affair back in November). I researched the number and found that it belonged to an guy named “Aaron”, not a girl named “Erin” and he indeed worked at my wife’s company. I completely came unraveled. I was filled with Anger and Rage. I called her out on it and she came clean admitting it was a guy from work. Then then tried to tell me he was gay, until I found his FB with his wife and young child. She admits that she lied to me because she knew I’d be mad and that there was nothing going on “like last time” (referring to the affair). The amount of texting was scary. It was day and night and even times when she was with me. I don’t know how much I believe yet about the intensity of what feelings were involved. She admitted to deleting all the texts “so I wouldn’t get mad”.
I’m not posting this to get into what happened or what I should do about it. I’m needing help with how to address it. I’ve been working diligently on “myself” in therapy and one of the things I’ve been working on is keeping my calm and not bringing up issues when I’m angry. This puts me in a predicament with her as a pwbpd. If I am very upset at something, such as finding out about the texting, I cannot tell her that I’m very angry and hurt and need time to process it, which is what I’m learning to do. If I do this she loses her mind. She absolutely melts down with those feelings of rejection and abandonment. I cannot leave her that way because I know how strong and real those feelings are. But at the same Im so upset at the moment that I find myself scolding her like a child. I don’t want that either.
It’s a tough spot. I spent hours and hours learning about BPD and how to manage a relationship with someone with BPD. I want to know. I know this is real to her. I love her more than anything and want to support her. The bright side, if any, is that she has stepped up and agreed to focus on her BPD. Through her current therapists she has scheduled an apt. With a therapists that specializes in. DBT. I’m trying to convince her that her doing this has to be for her, and not for me or our marriage.
I’m hurt and confused and would love any support or feedback you all can give. Thank you.

I'm 17, but for as long as I can remember my left arm (primarily around the shoulder) has always been a little tensed up. It doesn't matter what my posture is; it doesn't matter if I'm playing piano, doing something else, or literally nothing at all; it doesn't matter if I'm sitting, standing, or lying down, regardless of what I do I physically can't loosen my left arm. Now, it hadn't had much of an effect on my playing for some time, but the better I've become the more it presents itself as a detriment.
A while back I began working on Scarlatti's k29, and while learning it's been fun, it's really exposed the limitations of my physical abilities. At this point I know the notes better than the back of my hand, and I know what I'm trying to accomplish in any given section, but my left arm just doesn't fucking do what I want it to and it's driving me insane (that being said my performance definitely wouldn't be great, but I'd be way more confident in it). In many passages it feels damn near impossible to play adequately in sync, a problem that is very prevalent in the descending thirds sections (often starting out fine with my left hand falling apart by the end). I know for a fact that if my left arm felt like my right my performance (and even ability to learn new repertoire) would improve substantially, but I just don't know what to do anymore. I've been at this piece for so long, and the last few things I'm struggling with just haven't been getting much better, and being able to diagnose the problem without knowing what to do about it is kinda starting to fuck with me. If you guys know how I might be able to fix this (no matter how drastic the measure is, I'm open to considering all options; I've put too much of my teenage life into this for something so innocuous to halt my progress), or if I just have to learn how to deal with it, let me know.
Also I do apologize if this isn't the right sub, but I figured pianists would be more likely to get help for something like this, and by extension more likely to know what I can do.

Disclaimer the goal is not to make an "effective" PC. Instead the idea is what would be the hardest to kill DND character. Who is hard to hit and when they do get hit they can eat a lot of damage.
Str:8 Dex:15 Con:15 Chr:8 Int:8 Wis:15 Race: Shifter (Wildhunt) Class: Barbarian (8 Levels) Rouge 12 Scot Subclass: Totem Warrior (Bear) Loadout: Shield and Rapier
In higher levels you will only take a quarter of the regular damage (Bear plus uncanny dodge). This is in no way optimal but I am wondering if anyone can think of a harder to kill PC. Scot goes with the nature theme and means your insanely mobile when you choose to be.
Any thoughts on how to make a even harder to kill DND character?
