2023.05.29 07:27 Gonutsfordoughnuts I have little control over my living environment, and I’m having a very difficult time regulating myself
Hi ladies. Just looking for advice on how to deal with a situation that is leading to a lot of burnout as a neurodivergent person…
I (35f) am currently living with my husband and his parents in their house. Our living situation was always meant to be temporary while we save for our own home, and it has served us well for the past few years. However, our house was recently flooded not once, but twice, from a series of storms that took place over the course of the last few months. This has caused a lot of damage to the house, with the floorboards needing to be ripped up, the walls needing to be cut out (to remove the water damage), and a number of electrical appliances going bust. As several people in our city have also been affected, repair services and insurance companies have been extremely overbooked and everything has been taking much longer to assess and fix than desired.
We are fortunately able to live upstairs in the meantime, which has been mostly unaffected by the floods. But the constant state of repairs, ongoing damage, and tradespeople coming in and out (sometimes at very little notice) have been quite disruptive and it is starting to wear me down. Already I find it very difficult to stick to a routine that helps me function. Last year I was able to finally nail down an exercise and healthy eating regimen that worked perfectly for me. Since the floods this year, I have been unable to do that. Our home gym (which greatly helped with my fitness as I have anxieties with exercising in public) was flooded and I haven’t felt safe using it due to the mould and dampness. My vegetable garden, which is normally my main source of stress relief, has been completely ruined. It is also no longer pleasant to pursue my love of cooking and baking as the kitchen is constantly in a state of repair. All of my vices for regulating my nervous system have become significantly harder (or impossible) to access. I feel mentally burnt out, stressed, and over-stimulated as I can't control anything that is happening.
Every time I find a way to adapt, something else unexpectedly changes and I need to switch things up. For instance, my husband and I recently went away for a few weeks and we came back to even more of the kitchen torn apart. At least before then, we still had kitchen counter tops and proper storage space. Now all of that has been torn out and we have been left operating on make-shift tables and having to search through boxes of utensils as all our cabinets are gone. I can feel my executive dysfunction winning as my motivation and patience with these changes wear down. Adding the double-whammy of needing to quit my meds due to high heart rate, I’m stuck trying to self-regulate and stick to some sort of routine in a construction site of a home while I search and trial new meds.
Does anyone have any advice how I can manage myself in this environment? Even if you don’t have any advice, I just need to vent and for someone to listen and stop telling me to ‘be positive! Some people have it worse!’. My husband and I both work from home, so we’re living in this environment 24/7. We don’t have the money to move out as rent in our area is very expensive. And while they haven’t condemned the house as unliveable, assessors have been recommending us to move out because it’s not healthy to stay here. I’m at my wits end, worried for my health, and generally just feel stuck. Thank you for your advice and for making me feel heard.

2023.05.29 07:22 Public-Local4385 Free pfSense Firewall and Limiter configuration for Nintendo Switch
Hello all. This post is to
help the thousands of
readers of my previous post
get started using pfSense. This guide can help you reduce bufferbloat and lag spikes while playing Smash Ultimate or other Nintendo games online.
My previous post can be found here:
https://www.reddit.com/SmashBrosUltimate/comments/11lfvi1/stopping_lag_in_smash_ultimate_online/
In my other post I discuss various ways to mitigate online lag in Smash Ultimate. In this post I am providing a set of pfSense firewall configuration .xml files so readers may engage themselves with pfSense, view my settings and optimize their Nintendo Switch connection.
This post and firewall configuration covers
Firewall Rules, Port Forwarding as well as
limiters which combat bufferbloat with CoDel and fq_codel.
Please note, this is probably not worth your time if your Internet Service Provider's (ISP) router already has QoS features, or if you have a gaming router, with "gaming mode" or a different router which uses fq_codel automatically. Since pfSense doesn't do these things automatically (neither does my AT&T router at home), I have done them for you, and have added extra security to the router via this configuration file which I will discuss more below. If your ISP or gaming router still has lag spikes, even with the gaming mode enabled, perhaps this hands-on approach can help or inspire you.
The configuration files are stored on dropbox, the link is attached to the posting and can also be found here:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7oz8vtxz4rxjl2f/AADLnF3Ts12wybl9zv9Nbcnra?dl=1 Dropbox File -
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7oz8vtxz4rxjl2f/AADLnF3Ts12wybl9zv9Nbcnra?dl=0 Let's get started.
Requirements: - A laptop or desktop computer with multiple ethernet ports, with pfSense 2.6 installed, or a hypervisor of your choice with pfSense 2.6 installed as a virtual machine (you still need two ethernet ports but I prefer 3.)
- The pfSense 2.6 iso. Download pfSense Community Edition
- Rufus to make a pfSense USB install stick. Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way (oh god advertisements!)
- I personally enjoy Type 1 hypervisors and use Proxmox. However, this can also work on a Type 2 Linux or Windows Hypervisor using virtual ethernet bridges for WAN and LAN. IOMMU is not necessarily a requirement for the Type 1 Hypervisor setup, as mine is working perfectly fine. I also have a bare metal pfSense installed on an HDD and one on an SSD just in case.
- A Nintendo Switch with an ethernet cable and a USB adapter or dock with an ethernet port.
- An internet connection. You can place the pfSense behind your internet service provider's gateway, or (for more advanced users) you can replace the ISP router (but probably not the modem) with the pfSense router.
- 50 mbps or higher download and upload speeds. If your internet is slower, this could still help, however you'll need to adjust the limiter and possibly could benefit from the Squid Proxy section.
- (Optional)
- a PoE or non Poe wireless access point.
- A (managed) smart switch or (unmanaged) dumb switch.
Steps: - Install pfSense to a USB stick using Rufus.
- Install pfSense on your laptop or desktop (aka bare metal install) or through your hypervisor as a VM.
- Plug your non-pfSense computer into the pfSesne's LAN port. You can optionally plug your Modem/ONT/upstream router into the pfSense's WAN port. However I recommend not doing so yet.
- If you have a managed or unmanaged switch, now is a great time to plug it into the pfSense's LAN port and then plug your desktop into the switch.
- Alternatively, if you are using Virtual Machines, you can either plug another computer into your LAN ethernet port, or you can create another desktop environment and assign it the same LAN virtual bridge as the pfSense. Easy.
- Boot the pfSense and wait. While you are waiting, you should watch this video.
- Assign LAN interfaces in the pfSense's console UI.
- You view the console's UI by plugging an HDMI cable into the pfSense box or through QEMU via proxmox.
- pfSense by default will assign your LAN interface IP address 192.168.1.1 & for convenience, please leave this IP address as-is.
- pfSense by default will assign you a DHCP WAN address, however, I recommend leaving your WAN port unplugged and not assigning a WAN address yet.
- Open your web browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1:80 (make sure your pfSense is powered on and has gone through the bootup sequence. Note that the system will hang for a while during the WAN configuration if your upstream modem/routeONT is not connected to the pfSense. pfSense didn't crash, it is just trying all of the different possible ways to auto-connect to the internet.)
- Log into the pfSense WebUI.
- Username: admin
- Password: pfsense
- pfSense will now try to take you through the setup wizard and prompt you to change the username in password. Don't do anything quite yet (unless you want my config file to overwrite your password with the defaults again). AlterNATively, if you choose to run the wizard, I have included partitions of my entire configuration file, which are the only parts of the entire configuration that matter. I have listed the names of the partial configuration files below and their purpose.
- Navigate to Diagnostics > Backup & Restore > Restore Backup
- Download my dropbox configuration files and unzip them.
- If you want to assemble the configuration yourself, use the config files excluding config.xml.
- Under Restore Backup, leave the dropdown as all and choose the config.xml file.
- Click "Restore Configuration"
- Sometimes you have to click it again.
- A dialogue will pop up, asking if you are sure you want to restore the configuration. Click OK.
- Let the system reboot. After it reboots, now you should configure your WAN settings.
- Do you want to keep your ISP router? Plug your pfSense WAN into your gateway and play games through a double NAT.
- AT&T fiber gateways (I have tested the BGW-210 and BGW-320) may be more friendly to double NAT setups and videogames, as the Nintendo Switch doesn't detect the double NAT.
- If your Nintendo Switch does detect the double NAT, you may receive a NAT F score in the Nintendo's internet test. Your ISP router may have a bridge mode you can configure as well. AT&T fiber routers have IP passthrough for (nearly) true bridged mode, and it binds your public IP address to your pfSense's MAC address via DHCP. With this setup I prefer to set a Static WAN IP in pfSense, and create "allow" floating firewall rules on WAN for ports 67 & 68 (DHCP), as well as allow ICMP to the upstream gateway. This is considered more professional, and can prevent DHCP packets leaking from your pfSense, through the AT&T router and to the public internet.
- If you use a Static, Public IP, you can simply assign it as a Static WAN IP.
- For the record, I have no idea how to set up PPPoE or any other crazy ISP bridging requirements, such as with Satellite internet like Starlink. Just DHCP or Static WAN options.
- Let it reboot, plug your Nintendo Switch into the managed or unmanaged switch, or into the pfSense where your desktop is configured. (The LAN interface).
- Play some Smash Ultimate!
- Don't forget to change the default username and password for security.
Configuration files and their functions: - Config.xml - This is the complete configuration file which includes all of the configuration files listed below integrated into the system.
- Aliases.xml - Lists Security Aliases for a decent firewall. These aliases themselves don't block these ports or IP addresses, but make it easier to create firewall rules which do.
- Located under Firewall > Aliases
- There is a single IP address list from CINS Army ( List Download - CINS Army ).
- There is also a SANS TCP and UDP Port List for a complete SANS firewall audit ( FirewallChecklist.pdf (sans.org) ). I excluded blocks to ports 80, 443 and 123 because we will actually need those for gaming. Please note, that some game servers may also need port 445.
- You can always look up the game server you are trying to connect to and see what ports are open. If they have it open, chances are you need it open too. I had a single Ark: Survival Evolved Server have port 445 open once, and any time I closed it on my end I would get booted from that server. None of the other servers needed it; only that one.
- Additionally, I added the malicious ports listed on whatismyipaddress.com
- dhcp6 (disabled).xml - Since the Nintendo Switch doesn't use IPv6, I disabled the DHCP6 server, as well as router advertisements. Both are very chatty in system logs in a non-IPv6 environment. Please note that if you choose to not use the config.xml file, and you want to use this to quickly disable the DHCP6 server, you will also probably want to completely disable IPv6 in the pfSense advanced settings. System > Advanced > Uncheck Allow IPv6.
- Located under Services > DHCPv6 Server & RA
- DNS Resolver.xml - This setup is made to work with Cloudflare anti-malware DNS servers with the DNS forwarding SSL/TLS options to 1.1.1.2 and 1.0.0.2. I couldn't build you guys a firewall in good conscience without actually trying to make it secure.
- Located under Services > DNS Resolver
- I also disabled WAN IPv6 Link-Local as well as LAN IPv6 Link-Local because of how chatty they are.
- I disabled everything except WAN under "outgoing network interface binding."
- I checked "Strict Outgoing Network Interface Binding" because it sounds secure. The feature was not in previous versions of pfSense. I have had issues with the DNS resolver being susceptible to hacks in the past and this aims to prevent those hacks in conjunction with the DNS resolver ACL. I have used it both on and off with NordVPN/OpenVPN through pfSense in the past and it didn't break anything, although you'd think it should.
- I disabled DNSSEC support. Good luck getting this to work as a home user. The Nintendo Switch uses its own encrypted DNS anyways through Akamai.
- I enabled DNS Query Forwarding and SSL/TLS.
- Please note that if you choose to install this configuration file by yourself, instead of via the Config.xml file, you'll need to set up the DNS servers your pfSense will communicate with System > General Setup > DNS Server Settings.
- I changed the Advanced DNS Parameter "Incoming TCP Buffers" to "0"
- The SANS firewall audit recommends not allowing LAN devices to request TCP DNS connections. Most optimally, you should set a firewall rule to reject TCP requests from LAN devices in addition to this setting being set to zero.
- I checked the Advanced Parameter "Disable the automatically added access control entries"
- I added a DNS ACL which allows your LAN devices to query the DNS resolver.
- I added a DNS ACL which refuses local-data queries from anything other than your LAN devices. This is to prevent creeps who work for your ISP from screwing with your DNS resolver when they are jealous you aren't using theirs.
- Firewall.xml - I've (mostly) optimized this firewall setup for security while using my Public Static IP block (no double NAT). Using this IP block I have no protection from my ISP (AT&T). These firewall rules probably won't hinder your user-experience. And may definitely keep your devices more secure.
- Floating Rules:
- Located under Firewall > Rules > Floating Rules (aka Unassociated Rules)
- Added a Match Rule for the bufferbloat limiter. This match rule is required to reduce bufferbloat using the traffic limiter. NOTE: pfSense limiters absolutely require a firewall rule. "Matching" firewall rules like mine absolutely require the Quick option to be disabled per netgate instructions. ***"***The match action is unique to floating rules. A rule with the match action will not pass or block a packet, but only match it for purposes of assigning traffic to queues or limiters for traffic shaping. Match rules do not work with Quick enabled." - Firewall — Floating Rules pfSense Documentation (netgate.com). This can also be done with "Pass" firewall floating rules, or under the default LAN "allow all" firewall rule. How To Solve pfsense Bufferbloat With A CodelQ / FQ_Codel Limiter in 2.4.4 - YouTube However, I've already done the lifting and research for you.
- Added a block rule for access to the WebUI over WAN (port 250 because there are no registered services on port 250)
- Added CINS Army firewall block rules using the CINS Alias - "The CINS Army List is a subset of the CINS Active Threat Intelligence ruleset provided to our Sentinel IPS customers, and consists of IP addresses [whose] . . . recent Rogue Packet score factor is very poor." - List Download - CINS Army
- Added SANS TCP and UDP block rules.
- Added an RFC 1918 traffic exiting from WAN reject rule (enabled by default but you may need to disable it if you have a double NAT setup.) pfSense® software Configuration Recipes — Preventing RFC 1918 Traffic from Exiting a WAN Interface pfSense Documentation (netgate.com). This firewall rule can cause a lot of lag if you are using a double NAT setup because it blocks ICMP to your upstream router. Too bad they don't have a "block all protocols except this protocol" protocol/port inversion feature.
- Added Ping rules for you to play with while optimizing your setup. All of them are disabled by default.
- Block all except ICMP request and reply
- Allow all ICMP request and reply
- Allow all ICMP (because who cares)
- Associated Rules (non-default):
- Located under Firewall > Rules > WAN or LAN (aka Associated Rules)
- WAN - Port Forwarding rule you can enable for an A-Type (Open) NAT to your Nintendo Switch. Disabled by default (Please read the description first. You must actually enable this rule under the Port Forwarding Menu for this Allow rule to function correctly.
- LAN - Added an allow LAN to port 250 rule for HTTPS to the pfSense's WebUI (works in conjunction with disabling port 80 under advanced system settings). Deleted the default anti-lockout allow rule for port 80 and 443 to the pfSense Firewall. Left the default allow LAN to any rule.
- LAN Policy Routing - Added an allow rule which allows LAN devices to communicate with the local DNS resolver via the LAN interface. Added a reject rule which prevents devices from going around your RouteDNS Resolver for DNS queries. If you'd like, you can also add Port Forwarding rules which intercept all DNS requests and queries from LAN devices and send them to either localhost (127.0.0.1) or the LAN interface. -- Not all devices are compatible with direct localhost communication. The Nintendo Switch, in particular, doesn't seem to be.
- Limiters.xml: The bread and butter of the whole operation. The traffic limiter which fixes lag in online gaming! This function is mentioned in Method 9 of my previous guide.
- Limiter Settings are found under Firewall > Traffic Shaper > Limiters
- NOTE: These limiters absolutely require a firewall rule. Matching firewall rules like mine absolutely require the Quick option to be disabled.
- With this limiter I restricted the Download Bandwidth to 50mbps and Upload Bandwidth to 40mbps and I adjusted the CoDel and fq_codel parameters in accordance with this guide on limiting connections which use less than 100mbps: https://community.ui.com/questions/Best-Practices-for-Smart-Que-tuning-FQ-CoDel-on-and-ER-X/845b3bd4-676c-4b3e-be0e-2fb9abe97415
- #FQ-Codel notesrecommended settings (as I see fit):target = default 5 ms For slow links , set to 5ms + max-MTU send duration This adds 13ms at BW=1Mbit and MTU=1500 Using HTB with multiple classes: Take into account reserved BW and ceiling, as they might be way lower than link speed On 10GigE, lower to 1msinterval = default 100 ms For slow links, set to MAX ( target+95ms , 10*target )Quantum = default 1514 Up to 100Mb/s , set to 300. This favors smaller packets in VOIP/Data mix For huge bandwidth (datacenter): setting to 4000 might capture entire single conversation in "new mode"Limit = 10240 default This is way too big , and wastes memory. set at 1000 for 1Gb , to 600 for 10Mb/sFlows = default 1024 Use defaultECN: Default enabled. Disable on upload for speed below 4Mb/sbtw: this is how target and interval are set by ubnt-defaultUsing UBNT SmartQueue at default settings, varying BW:256k limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 48.1ms interval 143.1ms ecn512k limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 24.1ms interval 119.1ms ecn1Mbit limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 12.3ms interval 107.3ms ecn2Mbit limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 6.2ms interval 101.2ms ecn4Mbit limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 5.0ms interval 100.0ms ecn8Mbit limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 5.0ms interval 100.0ms ecn50Mbit limit 10240p flows 1024 quantum 1514 target 5.0ms interval 100.0ms ecn
- Set QMA to CoDel and AQM to fq_codel for created limiters WANUp, WANDown, WANUpQ and WANDownQ. All targets are set to 23ms, all intervals to 1ms, all quantum 300, all limit 1000 and all flows 1024. Had some issues with using the 600 quantum he mentioned above . So I set it to 1000.
- My average ping is 13mbps but yours may be 40mbps on cable/dsl. If so, you may need to adjust the target parameters to your average ping + 5ms. I'd recommend changing both the limiter target parameter and the AQM parameter under the WANUP and WANDOWN limiter settings and the respective queues. Try a few rounds of smash first and see if it works for you!
- Before you adjust your target parameter, first try increasing the Download and Upload limiter speeds slightly. On my fiber connection, it seems that my optimal download speed for these limiter settings is 70mbps download and 50mbps upload.
- I set ECN notifications for Downloads only as recommended above. Turning it on for uploads seemed to cause some stutters in Smash Ultimate while using my Static Public IP block and pfSense as my border gateway, but not while I was using a Double NAT setup. Turning on ECN for uploads while using my AT&T router as my border gateway seemed to help a bit, but it is hard to know if it is your settings causing lag, or your opponents.
- In the past I have also increased the Bucket size to 128 slots, up from the default 64. It seemed to have helped with stutters a bit.
- NAT.xml - While not the bread and butter of the setup, it is still equally as important as the limiter settings and match firewall rules.
I hope you enjoy this experience once you get it set up and working. It is very much a functional, budget setup for those who don't feel like buying a gaming router. There are many other ways to customize the limiters such as with source or destination dynamic limiter masks (I still don't know how to use these, but they seem to be a legitimate way to automate optimizing the limiter settings.) If you have any suggestions to improve the setup for gaming + home security let me know! If you have other questions, I will answer them as I correct my grammar and formatting at my leisure.
I added all of the firewall options because internet downloads are inherently pretty sketchy, and I couldn't bare sharing a router configuration file without maxing out its security as much as possible. Please note, that this setup works and was tested on a virtual machine using one CPU core and 1 gigabyte of RAM. It hardly uses more than half a gigabyte of RAM, if ever.
Cheers.

2023.05.29 07:22 BloodgodVegas Blood-Red Ambition, Part 1/?: Plenty of Blood to Go Around
“Yes, yes that will work…” a sitting woman clad in white, cotton clothes muttered to herself, “Kill them, take their hearts, eat them. It’s perfect! It’s foolproof! They can’t stop me, they can’t, they can’t!”
She shot up from her sitting position, her long blonde hair spreading out wildly. She began pacing back and forth in the empty warehouse she had taken refuge in, murky brown eyes dilated as she screamed to herself.
“I’m invincible, invincible I say!” She yelled, “Any Vulture that dares to lay so much as a finger on me shall suffer my wrath, I shall-”
She was cut short by a loud bang, followed by the clanging of metal on the cold, concrete floor.
“Sorry to cut your tirade short,” a masculine voice rang out, “but I heard of some Feral activity going on in this area. You know anything about that?”
The woman growled and bared her teeth, revealing almost comically large canines, "Who goes? Reveal yourself!"
Heavy, deliberate footsteps echoed through the warehouse as a man walked through the door he had just kicked down. Clad in black sneakers, grey sweatpants, and a dark green hoodie. His unkempt black hair and childish smirk made him appear unprofessional and inexperienced.
"You're nothing but a boy. A mere teenager!" The previously apprehensive woman exclaimed, "I can't believe my luck, a free heart just walked right into my territory."
The boy said nothing, simply keeping that same smirk on his face and assuming an orthodox boxing stance, staring at her with piercing emerald eyes. The woman laughed maniacally, and launched herself at him with surprising speed, covering over twenty yards in a single second.
The boy's eyes widened as he ducked low, barely avoiding the wild punch- claw?- that came from the woman. 'Hmm,' he thought, 'She's better than the other Mangleds I've fought.'
The woman was not done with her assault, using the momentum from her swing to turn herself. The boy was not one to leave his back open, though, and quickly spun to face his opponent, this time easily blocking her next swing with his left arm. She obviously didn't expect him to stop her so easily, and left her gut wide open, something the boy capitalized on. He slammed his fist right into her stomach, causing her to jump back several yards and gasp for air.
"You... you aren't normal. No, you're one of them. You're a VULTURE!" She yelled, filled with rage.
'What's her issue?' the boy thought, 'Well, being batshit insane is one of them, obviously, but what does she have against Vultures? She's a Mangled, sure, but still...' His thoughts were cut short by the woman's next rush. He wasn't going to let her stay on the offensive the entire time, though. Instead of waiting for her to get to him, he rushed to meet her head on. Right as they were about to collide, he ducked low, dodging her swipe and tackling her at the same time.
The woman cried out, but had no time to fight back as the boy gripped her throat with one hand and whipped out a six-inch switchblade with the other.
"I must say, you put up an okay fight." He commended, "But you're nothing next to me. I didn't even have to use my Gift to kill you."
The woman attempted to break free, but to no avail. His grip was like a vice. She couldn't pry off his hand, and every swipe she took hit air.
"I'd love to find out what your Depravity is, but I've got to cut out your heart and sell it, quick. My quota is in thirty minutes!" The boy exclaimed, "I've got to carve you up as soon as possible."
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
"So, one low-tier speed type Feral heart?" An exhausted, pink haired girl asked the green eyed boy before her.
"Yep, that should be like, what, four-hundred dollars?" He asked.
"Yeah yeah, after tax and all it comes to four-fifteen."
The boy whooped and handed over the brown bag- dripping with blood- to the girl, gladly taking his payment and booking it out of the fancy office building he was in.
'Alright, sweet! That's my first Mangled other than Pests and Abominations I've killed.' he thought, 'They pay a whole lot more for these hearts, too.'
People on the streets turned and stared, seeing this childish and messy teenager happily skip out of the Vulture Corps building, holding a wallet full of cash.
"They hire anyone these days, don't they?" One man said.
"I heard they're desperate for rookies. That most newbies get killed in a few weeks because they aren't strong enough." Another woman said.
"Damn it, what has this world turned to? Ever since this Vulture Corps company showed up, there's been a ton of Gifted deaths everywhere because they keep hiring kids. My daughter almost died because of them!" Someone else yelled.
The boy was none the wiser, still happily skipping his way home. Money was all that was on his mind as he approached his apartment complex, given that he had just made a decent chunk of it for a sixteen year old. He opened the door and slammed it behind him, humming a happy tune as he jogged his way up the stairs, all the way to the fifth floor.
"Moooom, daaaad, I'm home!" He yelled, bursting through the door to room 55, his apartment.
"Hey Angeles, how was work?" His mom asked from the kitchen as he walked into the living room adjacent to it.
"Easy-peasy, I killed a Feral for the first time today." He replied, taking off his hoodie and throwing it on the couch. They were fortunate enough to be able to afford a fairly large apartment, with a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, they had it pretty well off.
His mother looked vividly distraught, but said nothing, and Angeles paid her no attention. He entered his room right as his father left his own and walked into the kitchen.
"He's going to get himself killed one day, Joshua..." His mother sighed, seeing her husband.
"Don't talk like that, Danika. We've both seen his gift, and we both know how strong it is. A single Feral doesn't have a chance at taking him out." Angeles's father, Joshua, said, "Something stronger, like a Daemon, on the other hand..." He trailed off.
They both sighed as Danika continued cooking while Joshua went into the living room.
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
"Are you sure I have to take this kid as an apprentice?" asked Hadai. He had enough on his plate fighting high-tier Ferals and Ghouls. No need to overload it with a rookie to look after as well.
"Trust me, this kid is something special. Not only is his Gift pretty powerful, but he's not bad at fighting either. I think you'll like him." the pink haired girl next to him said as the climbed the stairs. Hadai only grunted in response.
The pair said nothing as they reached the top of the stairs and finally arrived at their destination. Room 55. One Mister Angeles Vipond's apartment.
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
So yeah, there's the first part of this story. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it going for a while, or if I'll even update it again, but if I do, trust me, It's gonna get more interesting soon. Vegas, signing off.

2023.05.29 07:17 jedidaemin Had to kick out two families from the brewery I work at after someone got upset that his wife was told she couldn't change a diaper in the taproom.
So I work at a brewery taproom that also serves pizza, and I'm one of the shift leads (basically manager when the managers aren't around). We have a men's restroom, a women's restroom, and a family restroom that has a changing station. ( this is important later) About 30 minutes before we closed I noticed a coworker talking to a lady at one of our couches in our little lounge area that has several couches and a very small, low table. We also have a bunch of high top tables and booths around the taproom. It looked like the lady was changing an infants diaper ON THE COUCH. I have seen this happen here before, but not in about a year. Turns out she was indeed changing the baby's diaper on the couch, and my server was telling her she couldn't do that. The lady had basically finished already so there wasn't anything we could do. Once she had finished we cleaned the couch with disinfectant and isopropyl alcohol. Moments later, what we are assuming is the woman's husband, comes BEHIND THE BAR, with said infant in his arms, to interrogate my coworker about why she was being so rude and unprofessional and what the issue was. The situation quickly devolved into him telling us we did not take the situation into consideration, that the family bathroom was occupied, and that we wouldn't understand because we don't have kids ourselves (and yes he asked). He disregarded anything we said, basically ignoring us, while continuing to just talk at us about how awful we were. He just kept going on about it and wouldnt stop. My coworker was in the process of taking off her gloves that she was wearing while cleaning the couch, and turned to throw them in the trash that was behind the bar. This man did not like that and said "don't turn away from me, come back here." At this point my coworker removed herself from the situation, told him she had enough and if he didn't like it then he could leave, and walked off. This was when I stepped in and told him, again, that he needed to leave. Multiple times I told him during all of this that under no circumstances was it acceptable to change a diaper in the taproom, seeing as how it's not only disgusting, but also a health code violation. No matter what I said he continued to ignore me and keep talking about how he did nothing wrong, and "was respectful and never raised his voice." (His words.) Nothing that we said mattered to him, and all he wanted was to assert himself as being right and us as the bad guys. The first (first!) time I told him to leave he got all upset and was aghast that I told him to go. He responded with "oh you're kicking me out? So I'm not paying for anything then?" I told him three more times to leave after that. I was on the edge of telling him I would be calling the police for trespassing if he did not leave. At this point he asked me if I was a manager, and I was in the process of reaching for my mobile POS handheld to comp his bill just to get him to go away. When I turned to the side to reach for it he said "oh now you're also turning away from me while im talking? Get back here." I told him his check was comped and his group needed to leave. He finally stopped complaining about how unprofessional we were, walked away, and gave a very chipper "thanks for the hospitality!" On his way out he even handed another server a $20 for her good service. Jokes on you, we tip share! All of this because he didn't like that we told his wife she couldn't change a diaper in the taproom. The sheer audacity and frail ego this man had was simply mind blowing. This capped off a night of shitty parents letting their children run around screaming, jump on the booths, and even one family who asked if their children could come behind the kitchen line. Please just go away and stop bringing children to breweries.

Understanding Turkish Airlines Cancellation Policy
When it comes to canceling your Turkish Airlines flight, familiarizing yourself with their cancellation policy is crucial. The Turkish Airlines cancellation policy outlines the terms and conditions that apply to flight cancellations and the corresponding refunds. By understanding these policies beforehand, you can avoid unnecessary stress and potential financial loss.
According to the Turkish Airlines cancellation policy, passengers have the option to cancel their flights and receive a refund, subject to certain conditions. The refund amount depends on the type of fare purchased and the time of cancellation. However, it's important to note that non-refundable fares may not be eligible for a refund, or may only be partially refundable.
Cancellation Fees and Refund Eligibility
To provide transparency and clarity, Turkish Airlines imposes cancellation fees based on the fare type and the timing of the cancellation. Let's explore the different scenarios and refund eligibility criteria in detail:
- Refundable Fares: If you've purchased a refundable ticket and cancel it before the departure time, you're eligible for a full refund. However, keep in mind that refundable fares generally come at a higher price than non-refundable ones.
- Non-refundable Fares: Non-refundable fares typically do not qualify for a full refund. In some cases, these fares may only be partially refundable, depending on the fare rules. It's essential to review the fare conditions at the time of booking to understand the refund options available to you.
- Time of Cancellation: The timing of your cancellation plays a significant role in determining the refund amount. Turkish Airlines usually imposes higher cancellation fees for cancellations made closer to the departure date. It's advisable to cancel your flight as early as possible to minimize potential fees.
- Award Tickets: If you've booked your flight using Turkish Airlines' frequent flyer miles or other loyalty program points, cancellation policies may differ. Award tickets often have specific rules and limitations regarding cancellations, so it's essential to review the terms and conditions associated with your specific booking.
How to Cancel Your Turkish Airlines Flight
Canceling your Turkish Airlines flight is a relatively straightforward process. You have multiple options to initiate the cancellation, depending on how you made your reservation. Let's explore the different methods available:
- Online: For maximum convenience, consider canceling your Turkish Airlines flight online. Visit the Turkish Airlines official website and locate the "Manage Booking" section. Enter your reservation details and follow the prompts to cancel your flight.
- Call Center: Alternatively, you can contact the Turkish Airlines call center to cancel your flight. Ensure you have your booking reference number or ticket details readily available for efficient processing. The call center agents will guide you through the cancellation process and address any questions or concerns you may have.
- Travel Agency: If you made your booking through a travel agency, reach out to them to request the cancellation. Provide them with your booking information, and they will handle the cancellation process on your behalf. It's important to note that the travel agency's policies and procedures may also apply in addition to Turkish Airlines' cancellation policy.
- Airport Counter: In some cases, you may prefer canceling your flight in person. Visit the Turkish Airlines airport counter and speak to a representative who will assist you with the cancellation. However, it's advisable to call ahead and confirm the availability of this option, as it may vary based on the airport and circumstances.

2023.05.29 06:49 SubduedPain_ Does my (19F) relationship with my partner (22M) seem unhealthy?
I (19F) am always feeling, I guess, put down (?) by my boyfriend (22M). We’ve been dating for 9 months now, and rarely a day goes by when I don’t feel like I’ve annoyed him with something small. The reason I’m making this post is because of a text conversation we just had. Here’s the transcript: (He’s currently without a job which is what the conversations about) Him: “Idk where to get a job tho, I just want money” Me: “You could come work for me🥺🥺” (I’m a manager at the local water park, and he used to have the same job at a different water park. I only made the suggestion jokingly.) Him: “I live far as fuck. No” Me: “Damn don’t have to be so aggressive, I was kidding” Him: “Well I’m trying to figure out something and you’re joking around like normal” Him: “You wonder why I get frustrated” I kind of understand where he was coming from, but the fact that A) there was no indication to me it was strictly a serious conversation, and B) he gets annoyed at me for little things like that all the time, really made me upset. Wherever we’re together, I feel like I have to make myself small to avoid upsetting him. One time I made him rice and vegetables while he was gaming (what he asked me to make), and once I brought it to him, he sent it back with me to the kitchen because he wanted it seasoned more. So after I seasoned it, I brought it back to him, but he still didn’t like it. So I went back to the kitchen for a third time to heat him up some pizza rolls which he always likes. About halfway through them being done, he comes into the kitchen looking for me, and starts raising his voice when he sees me heating up the rolls, saying “No no no, I don’t want those, put them back” upset at me. I do my best to be a good girlfriend; we live 45 minutes apart (2 hours apart for the few months I was at college) and only once has he come to see me, and it was only for lunch. Every single other time, it’s been me coming to him. I’ve spent hundreds on gas and have asked him to start coming to me, but no luck. I do his laundry, keep his bathroom clean, and do almost whatever he asks when I’m with him. I never feel like I’m enough. I have so many other stories to the same tune as the ones you previously read. Part of me is saying he’s not that bad and I’m just sensitive, but I don’t know. I think it’s also worth mentioning that he took my virginity. I don’t really know if this is healthy or normal. Any advice?
TL;DR I feel under appreciated by my partner due to him getting mad at me over things I see as small, like making jokes or being a normal amount of clumsy. I do his laundry, make him food, make sure his room and bathroom are clean, and RARELY get a thank you or please. He doesn’t even smile when I try to take pictures of us. He’s always raising his voice at me and getting upset, is this healthy or am I just sensitive?

2023.05.29 06:48 mcalz12 Padi Open Water in Ecuador - Is it supposed to be like this?
Hey guys so we are mid-way through taking a Padi open water diving course in Ecuador.
The whole thing is a bit of a hilarious mess of screwed up equipment and poor training.
I am gonna run through our experience for two reasons:
- I genuinely want to know what should be in a Padi Open Water course and what everyone else does in theirs
- So you can get a laugh out of how terrible it all is over here
This cost the same as all the other shops selling courses in this area and it was $340 PP (Asked 5 tour shops) so I’m not holding back on them. Their charging full-European rates on this and giving a shit service.
Day 1
We meet our “English Speaking” instructor. Barely any English he just nods at everything. At one point I asked if we were taking a Tuk Tuk to the pool. He responded with yes, thank you I love to teach diving it is my passion.
We watch a 1 hour video on the TV and he says yeah that’s enough the rest is not so important. My partner has a cold so we insist with some debate that she will not do the course (As the video said).
Move on to the pool and do some drills. Take jacket off and replace, swap breathing tool with dive buddy, use reserve breather etc.
Most of the kit was leaking air a lot. Rubber protectors broken off and lots of corrosion. If I removed my breathing tool I has to shake and twist it to stop air flowing out. We did 1 dive for about 45 mins and called it a day.
Day 2
Our first open water dive on an island. Boat barley worked and required 5 mins of playing around with a screw driver each time we set off.
Got to the site went to put together my gear and there was a frayed line on the pressure gauge and a leak. Guides said it’s fine. I pointed out another leak and a jamming breathing tool. Got it changed for a new one.
Assembled the kit and got ready to jump in. After a few seconds in the water I say my breathing tool is a bit hard to draw from (usable but annoying) he said switch to the secondary and use that. It’s missing one of the bite pads which was a real pain. No more extras on the boat and did not want to go all the way back.
Okay so I just hold the mask on my way down. Get to the bottom and my dive buddy floats off a bit. I had just finished an exhale and my mouthpiece fell out of the breathing room (We are around 8 meters deep here). So I had no air in my lungs and also no breathing tool.
I tap the guide and point to my reserve (previously main) and he hands it to me. It was a bit out of my reach and I did not have much time to get it as I had not realised the breathing tool was detached from the mouthpiece and got some water in my mouth on an inhale.
I’m fairly stoic so was not freaking out. Between us someone would have given me air but it was my first time in the ocean (ever). I cleared the tool with the button on the back (As I had 0 air) and managed to get a good breathe.
Anyway so he had a spare mouthpiece for my reserve one that he gave me. All good and breathing again. My dive buddy has floated away at this point and he signals to wait here. I wait for about 3-4 mins alone and they return. Had a little browse around and saw my first school of fish (Total time ever with scuba gear now 50 mins including 40 from the pool). We do 2 dives with my dive buddy repeatedly floating off.
We are on the boat talking to the instructor and we go what’s the deepest you’ve gone diving. He replies “The most was 35M because I have not done my advanced divers course yet” SO HE JUST HAS OPEN WATER TRAINING.
The owner of the dive shop is a dive master I believe but he spoke no English and was not diving with us. He will probably go down on the paperwork as the teacher. BTW my Spanish is decent and in the end we were speaking mainly in Spanish anyway. My hope was his English would be a lot better than my Spanish.
Under the water we did stuff like take off and put on jacket. Clear goggles etc. Total about an hour underwater maybe more. Tomorrow we finish off the course.
I did a bit of looking around and it sounds like other people did exams, lots of studying and way more diving but those were from 6 or so years ago. How different is Ecuadorean diving from the rest of the world?

2023.05.29 06:14 plokijuh1229 [Room Share] Furnished Room in Sunset Park, Brooklyn for $800/mo. Available mid-June to end of September.
I have a furnished room available in Sunset Park for $800/mo + electric. 3bed with 2 roommates, both 25M. Available mid-June through end of September.
Video from the broker before we moved in a year ago. The available bedroom is the final one shown. Located near the intersection of 58th st and 6th ave. This is an excellent location:
• 59th st express train stop 6min walk away
• Mexican, chinese, pizza, deli, fried chicken food and Pioneer grocery store right around the corner on 5th ave. Bustling area but quiet at night. Extremely walkable you'll never feel a need for a car.
• 58th st Army Terminal ferry stop directly down the road. Ferry goes directly to Rockaway beach. D and N trains also go right to Coney Island in half an hour. It is awesome here in the summer.
The room is smallish at 7' x 10' with no closet. Has a nice large window. Comes furnished with size full bed frame, mattress, clothes rack, window AC. I currently live in this room (I'm moving into the leaving roommate's room) and it's perfectly serviceable and not closet-feeling because...
The apartment is very spacious. Has a wide open kitchen, two living rooms, and the 3 bedrooms on top of that. Gets fantastic sunlight in every room. It's not particularly good looking as it has drop ceilings in the living rooms but that comes with the low rent. Not a newly renovated guy. (Pics will be added to this post soon)
About us: Both 25M. Childhood best friends. I work from home in corporate analytics, my roommate is a writeservice worker. Our 3rd roommate is moving abroad hence the open room.
To get in contact for a viewing:
DM me that you're interested and I'll DM back my gmail. From there email me about yourself, the more info the better. I'll be emailing back in a day or two as I'm using Memorial Day tomorrow to arrange things and take current pics.

2023.05.29 05:42 LeeCloud27 ACT 2-10-5: Blood-Stained Clinic
Down the elevator went, further and further down; much farther than the last two elevators the three had taken. It seemed as though it would keep on going without stopping, making all of them wonder where the elevator was taking them.
But after an entire minute, the elevator stopped. What was revealed was a narrow hallway, which contained two rows of capsules; each big enough to contain a single individual. The room was immensely cold; their own breaths could be seen the moment they stepped out.
“Brrr… It’s so cold.” Sumireko said, rubbing her arms to generate friction. Suika also felt the immense cold, but wasn’t as bothered as Sumireko, all the while Satsujin acted like it was his kind of domain.
“It’s very narrow as well. What is with all these capsules?” Satsujin said, observing the number of capsules down in rows. Even though his hearing allowed him to distinguish forms with exceptional detail, if any material that could reflect sound waves was present, it was difficult for him to identify what was inside of it. Curious, he approached one of the vats, and sticking an ear to the glass, he made little knocks, in hopes to use the vibrations as a guide.
"There's a person inside. Aside from that, I can't tell much." He said, turning over to Sumireko. "Could you take a look for me and tell me what's inside?"
“A person? Let me look.” Sumireko went over to the capsule. It was all fogged up due to the low temperature of the room, so she had to wipe the glass with her hand to get a better look inside. And inside revealed a sight that caused her to jump back in shock and horror.
“EEEEEK!!!” She yelled. “T…That…That person inside.” Her hand trembled while pointing. "It's dead!!!! And rotten!!!!"
Suika looked inside the capsule, staring at the mummified figure.
“Huh, you’re right.” Suika said. “Wonder how long they’ve been sleeping in there.”
The monitor next to the capsule activated; flickering on slowly as it filled with text, yet not all of the text was shown correctly.
[Sub… N………..urei”]
[Date of b…. 18…. The very first… of Gen…yo. Not much in…mation is k….]
*pop*
The monitor turned off, and a trace of smoke filtered through the plastic.
"Great. The display just died." Sumireko said, bonking the screen in an attempt to bring it back to life. But alas, it didn't work at all.
"Let's keep moving." Suika said, pointing at the distance.
The group stumbled upon an improvised workbench, filled with at least half a dozen folders, a writing pen made from strange materials, a dirty coffee cup, a moldy piece of hand-made cheese, and a shelf, filled with small and medium capsules containing many organic samples of various kinds of living beings. The liquid in them was semi-translucent, with a weak blue color.
"Ugh! The cheese stinks like death! Someone get that out of here!" Sumireko said, taking a pile of papers from the trash bin, and wrapping the undesired object in them.
Suika took the cheese, and after a quick scan, she saw a strange machine labeled "Trash disintegrator". She put the cheese and the papers that wrapped the food in it, and after a loud electric sound, the cheese was no longer there…except for the stench that stayed in Suika's hands.
"Ugh…fuck." Suika said, reaching for one of the many hand washers that were in there, and furiously cleaning her hands with soap until there was not a single trace of smell. After that, she returned over to the others, who were inspecting the items in the table.
In one of the many smaller capsules, an oddly familiar piece of tissue was floating in a transparent liquid. It had a scale-like patterned exterior, similar to a fish's skin, while the interior flesh was mostly orange with signs of advanced decomposition.
[Sample N°1: "Fallen Mermaid"]
Recollected on the 12th of April, on the shore of Misty Lake. Condition: Stable. Aside from the previous capsule, there was another one, with a decently sized chunk of flesh inside, roughly as big as a trout, in an outstandingly good condition. It looked more like human flesh than the previous one.
[Sample N°2: "Night Sparrow"]
Harvested and recollected on the 12th of April. Condition: Perfect. "Wait…the skin color in the first one looks familiar…Wakasagihime?!?" Sumireko said in shock. "So the journal was actually right after all."
"And the second one must be Mystia." Satsujin said, taking the second capsule, and lifting it. "Why would
he want to store this?" He thought, returning the capsule to its original place.
"I don't know, but I'd rather not mess with any of this." Sumireko said, returning the capsule she had picked up to its intended place. "Suika, did you get rid of that thing?"
"Yep. It's gone. What have you two been looking at?" Suika said, taking one of the folders in the desk, and looking at its contents.
[Clone N°7: "Reisen"]
"Stage of growth: Fully grown young adult. Memories have not been copied into this clone yet. Not ready for deployment." [Clone N°8: "Reisen" (Uncomplete)]
"Stage of growth: 16 to 18 years old. Clone possesses a perfect copy of the original's memories. Requires further growth." [Clone N°9: "Reisen" (Gender-swap)]
"Stage of growth: Fully grown young adult. Ready to use in case of a catastrophe. Complete memories and growth." [Codename: Project Origin]
"The original and authentic Reisen. I've decided to replace the original with a clone, in case something happens in the next few days." “...” Sumireko glared at what the information had to say, squinting her eyes slightly while looking closer, as though there was something else on her mind. Satsujin took notice of this.
“Something wrong?” Satsujin asked.
“I’m good… I just… Feel like the stuff here isn’t…I don’t really know.” Sumireko said. “It just feels like something’s missing… Or maybe the opposite. Maybe there’s nothing missing, I don’t know how to describe it.”
"Missing? What do you mean by that?"
“It feels… Wait, where’s Suika?” Sumireko looked behind and found that Suika had walked further down the hall, as though something caught her eye.
“Suika?” Sumireko asked again, chasing after the Oni. “Hey, what is-”
Sumireko stopped. She noticed the narrow hall widening into a large, circular section. Surrounding them were various capsules; clear as day and bodies that were well preserved. Each one held a certain figure, all of them bearing similar traits. Brown Hair, Clear Skin, and they all looked female…save for one. Around the center there was a much bigger capsule; one which remained empty, but had text written on it that had the following message.
“Reserved for Reimu Hakurei.”
"What in god's name is…" Sumireko said, her eyes widening in shock. “What is this place?”
Sumireko walked over to one of the capsules at random; specifically the one that was empty, tapping on the monitor just as it began to spit out dialogue.
"Subject N°12: Minako Hakurei."
"The 12th Shrine Maiden. She died in an unfortunate incident regarding a loose cerberus long ago. Somehow, all traces of her DNA have vanished from existence after awakening the power of the Hakurei God. All that remains of her are my own memories of her, what the sages knew, and her kin."
“Minako…Who is that?” Sumireko said.
“...An old friend.” Suika said, standing behind Sumireko. She turned around to greet the Oni; who no longer had a careless or cheerful voice. Instead she looked more solemn; down to earth. “Out of all the Shrine Maidens, she was one of the most dedicated to her job. She had a cold mind, and never hesitated on taking matters into her own hands. However, that didn't make her less comprehensive when the situation called for it. She never harmed or was rude with any innocent person or youkai, and was always fair with everyone. And to top it off…she was an amazing friend to have. She was more human with us than most of the previous maidens. It's such a disgrace that her life was taken away so early."
“You…knew her?” Sumireko said. “But I thought that you only knew Reimu and-”
"Yes. I may not look like it, but I've lived long enough to meet most of Reimu's bloodline. A very long time, I must say." Suika said. "And the day Minako died is still fresh in my mind."
"It took us all by surprise. We thought it was everyday business, as always. But it wasn't. Fate is a cruel thing, and that day, it decided to seal her and her spouse's destiny in a heroic sacrifice for her beloved daughter. A sacrifice which would leave wounds that never healed. Reimu suffered the worst part of it, having to bear the trauma of seeing her two heroes be ripped off to shreds right in front of her. And there she stood, filled with terror. Even days after her mother died, she would continue to tremble and have nightmares every single day, until her mind gave up and sealed those memories away, to never be rediscovered again." Suika said, in a melancholic tone. "Me and the others who were close to Minako agreed to never bring this topic to her by any means, and to ensure she had a normal childhood."
Satsujin and Sumireko both were in shock. They never seen or heard Suika act in such a way, least not since they broke her out from her gourd. Her words sounded true; her voice genuinely saddened.
“Suika…” Sumireko said. “I-I’m sorry that-”
W̶̖͘r̷̨̀o̵̜̽n̸̛͍g̴̦̈́
“...
What?” Sumireko was interrupted upon hearing a voice. It seemed that Suika and Satsujin also heard it.

“A…Ah…” Suika shuddered. She trembled to her knees, and shook her head. Flashes of memories that she could recall like yesterday rose from the surface. The doll, the rain, the injuries… The sight of her very first friend on the surface after so long… Yet one person did not approve of her kind, for a very good reason.
“No…No…I remember now… Why did I suddenly remember?” Suika asked. “Dammit… I shouldn’t have ever forgotten… Stupid, stupid, stupid!”
“Suika!? What’s the matter?” Sumireko said, checking on Suika closely while Satsujin remained where he was, listening to the voices more intently.
“...Who is that voice? They sound like her… But… different.” Satsujin said.

The voices were then suddenly replaced with loud static, coming from all of the monitors next to their respective capsules. They all shook with the figures still inside; as their eyes glowed with a white glow as though they were each looking directly at the trio, surrounding them with their divinity.
“What is going on!?” Sumireko asked. “Wait. Suika? Why are you breathing heavily?”
“Hah…Hah…” Suika’s eyes were wider than before. She was looking at two specific capsules and pointed at both of them. Sumireko looked at where she was pointing.
Those two capsules were the only ones who’s figures eyes weren’t open with a white glow. One held a figure who looked to be quite elderly; bearing hair that was slowly turning white and skin with signs of wrinkles. But the other… The other was a man… And he smiled, with eyes that looked red instead of white like all the others. His monitor flickered with red text.
[Subject Number 10: Sendai Hakurei]
[Date of Birth: Unknown. The only member of the Hakurei bloodline that was born a male… A man who had been forgotten by history, not by accident… But because of the atrocities he committed to both Gensokyo, and his own daughter.]
The man looked over at the other capsule next to him. His eyes glowing brighter with almost ecstatic behavior. Suika and Sumireko looked at the capsule next to him, and it caused Suika to panic even more.
“No… Not her… Not her… Not the Blood Flower Maiden.” Suika whimpered.
"You three…get out of here. She has finally revealed her true colors." T̸̮̅h̸̹̕e̵͈̊ÿ̸̜'̵͒ͅř̶͖e̷̱͐ ̶̘̔ņ̴̍ǒ̴͉t̶̻́ ̷̛̼s̶͙͒ù̶͖p̸̖͛p̸͎̿o̴̭͊ș̸͠e̵̢͊d̴̨̔ ̷͓̑t̷͓̔ò̵͎ ̸̮̿ľ̶͚e̶̖͝ȃ̸̬v̴̱̿e̸̊ͅ ̴̥̇ȳ̷̹ẹ̴̽t̴̨̓.̴͇̿ ̷̠̒Ṇ̶͑o̴͎̽t̶͉̏ ̷̬́u̶̢̾n̶̳͂t̴͎̋i̸̖̅l̴͎̈́ ̷̳̓s̵͉̎h̶͖̒e̵̖͂ ̶͓͌a̸̺͊ŵ̷̻á̵̝k̷̳̈ě̷̦n̶͇͠s̶̅͜.̶͙͊

The room started blaring with red lights, but it was already too late. The other figure awakened from her slumber, slamming her hand against the glass as cracks began to show.
“No no no no! Not her!” Suika said, freaking out.
“Suika! Stay with me!” Sumireko said. “It’s going to be okay! I swear upon it!”
“...” Satsujin listened to the blares, the thoughts of everyone around her. They all… had nothing to say… except for one. The only other man in the room.
“...Heh…She’s right, you know? This wasn’t her plan… Yet it looks like she has to go fix things up for the future.” Sendai thought.
“...Who are you?” Satsujin asked back.
“Me? I’m nobody at the moment. I don’t have a role yet, and probably won’t for a long time. Least, that’s according to her. How do I know this? It’s simple really?” The other figure managed to make more cracks, and Suika was now crying, almost afraid of what’s to come.
"Grr…Damn you! Listen to me, I can't hold her forever. Suika, take them and return to the surface, and…shit, she's trying to escape! GO!!!" S̸̻̈Ḧ̸̫Ȗ̶̝Ț̶̉ ̷̗̍Ú̷̻P̴̰̑!̷͖͐!̴̮̔!̵͔͋!̴̡͝!̶͓͒

The room was dark and quiet again… It was as though everything that happened in the last few minutes never happened. The emergency backup power was left on, giving the people who were still inside the room just enough to see their surroundings.
Suika found herself hugging Sumireko, yet couldn’t remember why she was doing so. She also felt tears on her face, but didn’t remember why she was crying. Sumireko was the same. She found herself hugging Suika back, with a hand on her head like she was comforting her.
“Um…Did something happen?” Sumireko asked. “What were we doing?”
“Uhhhhh…” Suika was confused as she let go of Sumireko and got back up. She noticed how dark the room was yet the last thing she recalled was leaving the elevator with Sumireko and Satsujin and exploring the room a little bit.
Satsujin was standing next to them, facing one of the capsules which contained a still figure; almost lifeless. There was nothing else he sensed in his surroundings, save for a pile of shattered glass which was now on the floor.
“Um, you two.” Satsujin said. “I think something happened.”
“Huh? Something happened? Like what?” Sumireko asked.
"Phew. I thought the core isolation protocol wouldn't work…Now…where we were?" And then all the lights in the room flashed back on, almost blinding everyone as the lab went back into full power; running everything that needed to be run efficiently. A muffled air fan sound could be heard in the distance, adding to the abandoned ambience.
The glass shards that Satsujin noticed earlier were now revealed to have belonged to one of the capsules, which was empty. It made him more worried as it now begged the question of who was inside there.
“That’s…not good.” Satsujin thought.
But then something else caught everyone’s attention. There was a monitor, or rather a large screen, about 70 inches in width, above the capsules and everything else as it turned on, showing some old footage of a couple familiar figures.
“Wait a minute.” Sumireko said. “Isn’t that… Eirin? And… Okina?”
On the screen, the two figures looked to be discussing something, sitting down in a room together full of empty capsules.
“Do you really need to be recording this?” Okina asked Eirin. “I’m not familiar with your moon’s tech, but I would rather not find out this is something used to send info to your superiors.”
“I assure you, this device is for containing records and nothing more. And even if I wanted to send this to the Lunar Capital, that would risk the safety of me and the princess, which you are well aware I would never do.” Eirin said.
“Yeah yeah, just don’t let anyone unfamiliar find this somehow. Last thing we need is for them to get
too advanced too early. And what does any of this have to do with what we agreed on?”
“I’m a doctor, but also a researcher. It is basic common sense to note down any information you come upon, and this is no different. Besides, I’m interested in what you had in mind regarding this project.”
“All I care about is whether you live up to your side of the agreement, I don’t care about anything else. You should be glad I decided to sit down and talk to you instead of informing the other sages of Lunarian immigrants.” Okina said with slight bitterness.
“I prefer you don’t refer to me or the princess with that kind of tone. We no longer live on the moon, nor do we have the same mindset as them. We are
human.” Eirin said.
“Human you say? Sure, and I’m the housekeeper of some doorknob salesman.” Okina said.
“I don’t believe doorknobs are a usual sight in this country.”
“Great, you don’t know what sarcasm is… Just make sure you do your side of the deal well. I’ll make sure to check on your progress every time there’s a new shrine maiden. Do good, and I’ll make sure not to tell Yukari about your whereabouts. Fail, and… well you know what.” Okina said, standing up and leaving the room.
“Hah… So much for complete isolated peace with the princess.” Eirin mumbled to herself.
The video flickered a little, fading to static before something else popped up. That being once again, text.
"Project: Faith Preservation.
A conjoined effort between all the sages of Gensokyo to preserve the lineage of the Hakurei family in case of a catastrophe.
When I first arrived on Earth, the sages were initially against the idea of letting me, an enemy of their worst enemy, live in this land. However, they offered me a truce. In exchange for being hidden from the moon emissaries, I would spend the next centuries making sure that every woman and men who ever wore the Hakurei surname was preserved for a later use, may the current active one die, or be rendered useless by any reason."
The monitor turned off, and everyone was left staring at a black screen that reflected themselves. Then, the screen flickered, and showed a series of dots and lines in the screen for some seconds before turning off again.
"... .... . / .... .- ... / -... . - .-. .- -.-- . -.. / ..- ... .-.-.- / --. --- -.. / ... .- ...- . / ..- ... / .- .-.. .-.. .-.-.- / ... - .- -.-- / .- .-.. . .-. - .-.-.-"

Everyone turned to where the wet sound came, and there she was. A woman in her elders, with wrinkles and grayish hair, wearing an old, more traditional shrine maiden outfit. She looked over at the group, when her sight was set on Suika. She looked at the Oni who wore the clothes of her lineage. It made her so confused…and angry. Very angry.
"You filthy Oni…why are you…wearing the Shrine Maiden's clothes?" She said, in a raspy yet intimidating tone of voice.
Suika didn't answer at all. She froze in place, and like it was a cruel joke, she remembered why she was crying.
"No…NO! This is bad…really bad!" She said, falling to the ground in terror. "She's awake…"
“W-what? Who?” Sumireko asked.
“Chihana…Hakurei.” Suika said. “We need to run now.”
“Run?” Satsujin asked. “Why do you-”
“We need to run!!! No questions asked!”
Suika didn’t waste time in grabbing both their hands, running down the hall and back towards the elevator. She practically threw the two in while she started pressing the up button rapidly. Chihana walked forward towards the group, pulling out a needle from her sleeve and gripping it tight and imbuing it with a certain type of magic. Right as the doors began to close, she threw it at eye-blinking speeds, only stopping in front of Suika by just a centimeter thanks to the doors closing in time.
But still the Oni was trembling, shaken, filled with the fear of the woman that pursued them slowly. For now they were safe, but how long.
“H-Hey… You said they were also a Hakurei? And you knew them?” Sumireko asked.
“Y-Yeah…” Suika said with a shaky voice. “S-she was the previous shrine maiden before Minako… You could s-say she’s Reimu’s grandmother.”
“Her…grandmother?” Sumireko asked.
*ding*
The elevator opened up to the third floor. Suika and the other two left and walked down the room filled with plants.
“Wait, how come no one else knew about her? I mean, thinking about it, it is a little strange how there is very little information on any of the previous Hakurei Shrine Maidens. Not even in the Gensokyo Chronicles.”
“That’s because they were erased from history; traces of their existence wiped off the books save for a handful of mentions. That was done on purpose because Yukari didn’t want anyone to remember the Hakurei Shrine Maiden as brutal or bloodfestive.” Suika said. “There’s a lot you don’t know about the predecessors.”
The floor on the ground burst open, and Chihana rose out of it, maintaining that same glare on Suika specifically. Suika looked back and her face stricken with horror.
“Why are you… running away you damn Oni!?” Chihana shouted, pointing a sharpened gohei at her.
Once again, Suika, Sumireko and Satsujin made a run for it, avoiding the talismans the elder Miko threw at them with vigor. The talismans stuck some of the nearby green; setting it ablaze with flames that sprouted from the paper charms, disintegrating the plants with no trace left behind. Fortunately none of them hit the trio as they made their way to the next elevator.
“You won’t get away this time!” Chihana shouted, running right at them. But the doors closed just in time as a fist-shaped dent was made in the thick steel.
“Hoooh…I guess we should be glad the elevator was reinforced like the rest of this lab.” Satsujin said.
“That’s not going to stop her.” Suika said. “She’s the type who never gives up until her target is lying dead on the ground. And in case they’re already dead, she’ll personally pursue you all the way to the afterlife to ensure you don’t reincarnate.” She looked back at Satsujin. "Heck, she would even go after your
whole family if the circumstances required it."
“But why was she trying to kill us?” Satsujin asked. “The moment she saw you I could sense killing intent. Isn’t the spell card rules-”
“The spell card rules didn’t exist until Reimu you idiot!” Suika shouted at him. "It was kill or be killed! Gensokyo lived on a pecking order for centuries, and that was humans, youkai, demi-gods, actual gods, the Shrine Maiden, and then the Sages… And all the youkai were forced to accept that fact…or perish! That’s why most of us lived either underground or on Youkai Mountain because none of us were idiotic enough to dare go anywhere near the Human Village while she was around!" Suika said, letting out a sigh. “And I was the idiot who decided to leave.”
Neither Sumireko or Satsujin had words to comment on Suika's statement. They stood silent, until they arrived at the following floor.
*ding*
They walked out, and again they moved across the room over to the other elevator.
“Suika… If you don’t mind me asking… How do you know her anyway? And why does she not like you?” Sumireko asked.
Suika thought for a moment, as though she was wondering if she wanted to answer or not. But she did anyway, “I knew her daughter a long time ago, Minako Hakurei. When I first ventured up to the surface I did what any youkai would do and started scaring people at every chance I got. But when I met Minako by pure coincidence, she wasn’t scared. Rather she was infatuated with me. I guess it wasn’t everyday you meet someone with horns and capable of smashing trees with a single punch, hahaha… So, we met a few times, got to know each other, had fun like how any pair of friends would. But…her mother didn’t like seeing her daughter get close with an Oni. And then she tried to kill me, right in front of her daughter’s eyes.”
“She did what?” Sumireko said with shock in her eyes. “How could someone do that?”
*bang*
“Wait, hold on a minute.” Satsujin said. “Did you hear that?”
*bang*
“I think it’s coming from below.” Sumireko looked down at the ground.
*Bang*
“...Fuck.” Suika said.
*BANG*
Chihana bursted out of the floor, rising out of it and once again glaring at the others. The process repeated, this time with more speed. The group rushed for the next elevator door, and entered, as Chihana emerged from the ground once again, tossing away everything that was on her way, including metal shelves with a lot of fragile objects, which made a loud sound after impact.
“Close close close close close…” Suika spammed the button repeatedly.
The elevator fortunately closed right as Chihana approached. They all let out a sigh of relief… And then they returned to shock upon witnessing the door being forcefully opened with bare hands. The red-glow glare of the demonic Miko leering inside.
“You won’t get away this time, foul demon!” Chihana expressed.
“AAAH!” Sumireko screamed. She used her psychic powers to push her back, with great success. The elder shrine maiden didn’t expect to be hit with a burst of psychokinesis while she slid back on the ground. Then with a cry of frustration, she threw a handful of talismans at the trio. Fortunately most of them didn’t hit as the elevator doors shielded them; save for two which struck Sumireko’s hat and Satsujin’s shirt, one of which set Sumireko’s hat on fire.
"My hat is burning! Ow! Ow!" Sumireko said, tossing her hat into the floor, which had been struck with a talisman. Shortly after, the hat vanished in a violent blaze.
"Aw, I liked that hat too. Oh well, at least we-SATSUJIN!!! YOUR SHIRT!!!" Sumireko yelled loudly.
"Huh?" He said, unaware that a talisman had made its way into his white shirt, and was about to activate. With quick reflexes, Suika pulled the shirt with two hands, and ripped it from Satsujin's torso, as she wrapped the talisman in the cloth, and tossed it away. The end result was a burning pile of cloth which eventually disintegrated into nothing. The process left Satsujin with half of his shirt gone, revealing his slightly toned body.
"...damn it." Satsujin said, closing his cape to cover himself. "I don't like to be like this in front of someone else." As he said that, one of his eyes shined brightly.
"There was no need to be that dramatic, you know?"
"Still…I feel exposed." The layered voice said. Shortly after, the eye stopped glowing, going back to its previous state.
Suika didn’t say anything during the conversation. She was too focused breathing in and out repeatedly; hugging herself in the process. It was clear that she was feeling a large amount of anxiety.
“Hey, Suika? Are you still there?” Sumireko asked her.
“I’m…fine Sumireko.” Suika said. “I just want to get out of here and back with the others. I hope they’re doing better than how we are.”
The rest of the elevator ride went in silence. The three waited until they got back on the first floor, seeing the elevator doors open up…
And revealing Chihana standing there in front of them, holding her sharpened gohei, a pair of needles and talismans, and a face full of malice.

They are based on individual ingredients rather than any negative effects the final product may have. The way ingredients interact in a formulation can influence their potential impact, and the presence of a specific ingredient does not automatically equate to harm when used in a product. It's always crucial to do your own research, consider the product as a whole, and keep in mind that personal reactions can vary greatly. When making decisions about personal care products, it is recommended to consult with healthcare professionals. Brief: This product, introduced by Amazon's in-house brand, is among the top contenders for its excellent price competitiveness in the realm of baby wipes. Despite its affordability, it notably lacks any high hazard ingredients, notably excluding fragrance. However, a few parents may have reservations regarding two of the five moderate hazard ingredients included: Phenoxyethanol and Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract. Parents harboring such concerns should be particularly attentive when using this product. Ingredients: PURIFIED WATER, PHENOXYETHANOL, DECYL GLUCOSIDE, TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, SODIUM CITRATE, CITRIC ACID, SODIUM BICARBONATE, GLYCERIN, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT, CALENDULA OFFICINALIS FLOWER EXTRACT, GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA (LICORICE) ROOT EXTRACT, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER EXTRACT, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE, CELLULOSE GUM. Typical ingredients description and side effects - Phenoxyethanol
- Phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative in cosmetic products and also as a stabilizer in perfumes and soaps. Exposure to phenoxyethanol has been linked to reactions ranging from eczema to severe, life-threatening allergic reactions. Infant oral exposure to phenoxyethanol can acutely affect nervous system function.
- Potential Side Effects:
- Skin Irritation: In some cases, phenoxyethanol can cause skin irritation or an allergic reaction, presenting as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin and may be more susceptible to such reactions.
- Allergic Reactions: Though less common, some people may experience an allergic reaction to phenoxyethanol, which could result in symptoms like hives, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
- Eczema: It is also a common allergic reaction to skin exposure of products containing one percent or more phenoxyethanol. Reactions only occur in the area of application and eczema subsides after avoidance of the product causing irritation.
- Acute nervous system effects (infants): In 2008, the FDA warned consumers not to purchase Mommy’s Bliss Nipple Cream. Phenoxyethanol, found in the cream, was depressing the central nervous system and causing vomiting and diarrhea in breast feeding infants. Symptoms of a depressed nervous system include a decrease in infant’s appetite, difficulty waking the infant, limpness of extremities and change in skin color. There is no known health risk to the mother.
- EWG Skin Grade: 4
- Sodium Benzoate
- Sodium benzoate is a type of salt of benzoic acid and is commonly used as a preservative in many types of products, including food, medicines, and personal care products like baby wipes. It's used to prevent the growth of microbes, thereby prolonging the shelf life of products.
- Potential Side Effects:
- Skin Irritation: Some people might experience skin irritation from products containing sodium benzoate. This could present as redness, itching, or a rash. Babies have sensitive skin, so they may be more susceptible to irritation.
- Allergic Reactions: Though rare, some individuals may have an allergic reaction to sodium benzoate, which could result in symptoms such as redness, swelling, or hives.
- EWG Skin Grade: 3
- TOCOPHERYL ACETATE
- Tocopheryl acetate, also known as vitamin E acetate, is a common ingredient found in many personal care products, including baby wipes. It is used for its antioxidant properties and its ability to moisturize and protect the skin.Potential Side Effects:
- Skin Irritation: In rare cases, some individuals may experience skin irritation or allergic reactions when exposed to tocopheryl acetate. This can manifest as redness, itching, rash, or hives. If your baby develops any of these symptoms after using wipes containing tocopheryl acetate, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.Dark Stools: Iron supplements can make your stools turn black, which is generally harmless but can cause some concern if you're not expecting it.
- Eye Irritation: If the wipes come into contact with your baby's eyes, tocopheryl acetate might cause mild eye irritation. It is important to avoid direct contact with the eyes and take appropriate precautions while using baby wipes.
- EWG Skin Grade: 3
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract is a substance derived from the root of the licorice plant and is often used in skincare products due to its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and skin-soothing properties. It is also known to help improve the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness. In baby wipes, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract is usually used due to its soothing properties, making it a common ingredient for products that come in contact with sensitive skin.
- Potential Side Effects:
- Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may have an allergic reaction to licorice root extract. While this is relatively rare, symptoms could include redness, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing. If any of these symptoms occur, discontinue use of the product and consult with a healthcare provider.
- Skin Irritation: In some cases, licorice root extract can cause skin irritation, particularly for individuals with sensitive skin. Signs of skin irritation might include redness, a rash, or itchiness.
- Hormonal effects: Long-term use of products with Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract can potentially cause issues related to hormonal imbalance. This is due to the glycyrrhizin in licorice root, which can mimic the effects of the hormone cortisol. This is more common with ingested licorice, however, and not likely a concern with the small amounts used in baby wipes.
- EWG Skin Grade: 5
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, more commonly known as aloe vera, is a widely used ingredient in skincare products due to its soothing and moisturizing properties. It's considered generally safe for topical use. However, like any ingredient, it can cause side effects in some individuals, especially if they're allergic to it.
- Potential Side Effects:
- Allergic Reactions: Some people might have an allergic reaction to aloe vera. While this is relatively rare, symptoms can include redness, skin rashes, inflammation, and itching. 2023.05.29 05:37 BICHNANANSOLO Highschool Junior Who Never Participated in ECs
The title is pretty self-explanatory. I'm kinda worried about college applications since I didn't participate in any extracurriculars in the past and I don't have a teacher that knows me enough to write a recommendation. I currently have about a 3.95 GPA and I don't have to take SATs or ACTs because I'm in California. Does anyone have any advice for what I can do to boost my application?

2023.05.29 05:33 RRain757 Help with CoE and L&S GE/Breadths
Hello! I'm an incoming freshman who has questions regarding L&S breadth requirements and EECS GE requirements. I would like to double major in eecs and maybe either a foreign lang or comp lit. I heard that Hist128AC was one that helped, but does it fulfill both the American Culture and Historical Studies breadth at the same time? Also, is there anything else that I messed up on or any tips/class reccomendations to get classes out of the way? I might take a CC class over the summer to knock out another L&S breadth, maybe International Studies
*All CC courses were fulfilled at a California CC, CC classes that I placed in L&S section are satisfied according to
assist.org agreements with my local CC*
EDIT - the numbers on my local CC are not upper div courses at Berkeley, they’re lower div. I forgot to mention that
- CoE GE for H/SS (6 H/SS courses required, with 2 being an upper div)
- APUSH (5)
- AP Lang (4) - R&C A
- Psychology 101 (local CC, approved as a L&S Breadth according to assist, though unsure if approved in CoE)
- Political Sci 101 (same as above for psychology)
- Unfulfilled R&C B (Plan on taking maybe slavic 134 to fulfill R&C B and upper div #1)
- Unfulfilled American Cultures
- Unfulfilled Upper Div H/SS
- L&S Breadth (I think AP Exams do not fulfill them)
- QR - Calculus 1,2,3 (Completed at local CC)
- FL - Unfulfilled
- A&L - Art 100 (Completed at local CC)
- BS - Unfulfilled
- HS - Unfulfilled
- IS - Unfulfilled
- P&V - Philosophy 101 (Completed at local CC)
- PS - Unfulfilled (Though I will fulfill this with Phys 7a/b)
- S&BS - Microecon 202 (Completed at local CC)

2023.05.29 05:31 brooklyn3264 How to furnish a new apartment?
Hello everyone, I have a bit of a situation I was hoping to get some advice with. Recently I got out of a really bad relationship and had to leave my ex-boyfriend’s apartment which he was the sole name on the lease. I was able to quickly find a new place for myself and my two kids but I’ve been having troubles furnishing it. I live paycheck to paycheck and between the deposit and general living expenses I really am struggling financially. I’ve been heavily relying on Facebook marketplace and other sites like OfferUp to get what I would need. I mostly take the bus so I’ve been able to either get for free or buy for a very cheap price and transport many of the items I would need like a microwave, lamps, toaster, etc but I’ve been having an extremely hard time trying to figure out the bigger items. I’ve seen so many posts offering free kitchen tables and chairs or a used but nice free couch but I have absolutely no way of transporting these items. I’ve talked to seller after seller and all the items are pick up only which I completely understand from their point but it’s been leaving me feeling very defeated. We’ve been eating sitting on the floor for the past few weeks so any sort of advice or suggestions would be so appreciated. I’ve tried to offer a few sellers $5-$10 to drop off but everyone has declined which I understand because that’s not a lot of money to drop off but that’s all I can realistically afford. Does anyone have any potential solutions?

2023.05.29 05:31 MarvinLazer [Q] Is there a less computationally intensive way to output a graph involving a complicated set of probabilities?
Hey all. Longtime lurker, first time poster on this sub. I have a strictly-for-fun React project I've been working on since 2020. I had an idea for a new feature to add to it that's particularly exciting to me, partly because it's out of the scope of my mathematics/statistics background. I'm posting here in hopes that you brilliant folks might have some insight as to how I could begin to understand the mathematical basis of implementing it. I'm quite strong with React and Javascript in general, so once I understand the actual math I think this new feature will go quickly. I just need to grok it first.
I don't want to go into too much detail because I don't believe it's relevant, but long story short, my React app is a helper app for a mobile game I love. It doesn't interface with or automate any tasks in the game directly, but it does a variety of things to expedite certain in-game tasks one might have, and it has been a lot of fun to build, a lot of fun to share, and surprisingly effective at helping me with in-game decisions. The feature I want to implement can be summarized thusly:
- Imagine that you have entered a competition where the winner is dictated by a particular score.
- A player gains points by using one of several different kinds of currency.
- Spending each type of currency will always return points. The number of points it will return is variable, and based on a known percentage breakdown. For example:
Currency | chance to get 5pts | chance to get 20pts | chance to get 100pts |
Pennies | 80% | 20% | 0% |
Nickels | 70% | 25% | 5% |
Dimes | 50% | 30% | 20% |
Quarters | 40% | 35% | 25% |
- You can see other player's scores.
- These events happen quite frequently, and it's not terribly difficult to get more pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters.
Therefore, it would be incredibly useful to know the likelihood of beating the highest score if you spent all the pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters you had available. That way, if there was very little chance of beating that high score, you could just save your currency for the next event, where you'd have a better chance of winning after saving more.
So here's my idea:
- The user inputs the number of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters they have in reserve.
- The app outputs a graph. The x-axis is potential scores. The y-axis is the probability of getting them. At very low numbers of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, you'd expect this to just be a few points (for example, the graph of one penny is just the points [5, 80] and [20, 20]. The graph of two pennies is [10, 64], [25, 32], and [40, 4]), but as the numbers creep up it would be more useful to simply have a curve.
I know I could just brute-force this graph by taking the user input of the number of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters they have, running an arbitrary number of simulations with them, and outputting a bar graph with all the results stacked up next to each other, but that seems terribly computationally intensive for a small app that is (so far) very lightweight.
My question: Is there a set of equations I should be looking into for a way to input these probabilities into some sort of function which would output a less computationally intense version of what I need?
Please let me know if I need to clarify anything. Thank you very much for your time.

2023.05.29 05:20 shadowassasin34 [online][est][5e][weekly][long term][18+][spelljammer][LGBTQ friendly] anyone up for some space dnd?
Hello! I am a slightly experienced 20 year old dm of a little over a year and 6 months I am looking for another person to add to my long term campaign which would last from level 3 to level 18.
the breakdown of the campaign would be more along the lines of RP, exploration and intrigue heavy. though I do not have very much experience runing an intrigue game I do want to try and run one.
the setting is going to mainly use alot of things from the original 2e setting and will also incluse some 5e things aswell.
along with that this campaign will take place in the astral plane instead of the flow but will still include all of the normal flow things like the rivers for travle and the crystal spheres. the main diffrence is that you dont need air instead you soul is slowly ripped away from your body and left to wander the planes forever.
the aestetic and tech of the campaign is going to be steampunk and aetherpunk inspired along with the original spell jammer look
I do allow homebrew however I do reserve the right to talk to you about said homebrew at any time and work with you on it
something I also went back and forth on is on power gaming. I do not think it is a bad practice AT ALL because its a way to have fun in dnd BUT I do not think it has a place at my table as you probably would not have fun with how I am going to run the game. thank you for your understanding.
now I will say that the game is going to take place on monday 6PM EST to 9PM EST on the 29th however if you cant make the session zero that is ok I will work with you the best I can to make sure you dont have any questions.
a few last closing statements:
we are using guns and they are common place although they are going to be lazeplasma guns which do diffrent types of damages and what not. although I am simply reusing the damage from existing guns shifted around a bit to fit the game.
since this is an intrigue campaign I would ask that your character does have some kind of political stake.
and finally I do ask you to fill out this form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc5cnzrY5zjmHQE3HrQRLLGS7xvm7L8pSSURfgQczSbhDuG4g/viewform?usp=sf\_link other than that if I missed something or you would like to ask a question then just dm me!

2023.05.29 05:03 Edward2704 Don Jr. 2024 Montana Senate Race running against Jon Tester full mod writing (keep in mind that Don Jr. owns a ranch in Montana)
Italics = advisor feedback - Congratulations Don Jr., after a contentious primary with Matt Rosendale and Greg Gianforte, you have emerged victorious in the Republican primary. What will be your opening statement as you pivot towards the general Montana senate election with Jon Tester?
- Why screw up this thing. I’ll run a low-risk campaign and cruise to victory. After all, my dad is the Republican nominee for president, so I can certainly ride his coattails to victory “This might work but don’t underestimate Jon Tester, he’s quite popular in Montana”
- I want to nationalize this race as much as possible and attack Jon Tester relentlessly, Tester has voted in lockstep with Biden and Pelosi “This might work, but most Montanans are more focused on state issues rather than national issues”
- I want to appear with my dad, Donald Trump, as much as possible as I campaign “People want to see you differentiate yourself from dad occasionally, and this doesn’t help much”
- I want to denationalize this race as much as possible. I want to take pictures of myself on my Montana ranch and focus on the farmers and workers in this state “nationalizing this race is your best chance, considering that your father is the Republican nominee for president”
- Due to the rural nature of Montana, the average Montanan spends more on gas than almost any other state in the country, and as gas prices continue to rise, what would you do to lower them?
- I would work with Senator John Thune to construct the Dakota Access Pipeline, which will transport gas faster and thus drop the price of gas, unlike Biden and the Democrats who want to shut down the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline “This is good in that it criticizes the Democrats while also offering a different solution.”
- The way you lower gas prices is by getting Biden and the Democrats out of the office and putting in Trump and the Republicans, as gas prices were nowhere near as high as they were when Trump was president “This attack somewhat damaged Biden, but the damage is limited because people want to know what you would do differently from him.”
- One thing we could do to lower gas prices is to switch sides in the Russia-Ukraine war and side with an oil-rich Russia, rather than siding with oil-poor Ukraine, and we could get more oil through deals with Russia “Are you insane?”
- RNG. Your father, who is running for president from within a prison cell, has asked if you could attend one of his rallies that are being held from just outside his prison cell where he will be visible to the large crowd through the window of his prison cell in New York. Would you like to attend this rally outside the prison?
- Yes, I would “Good news, the rally outside of Trump’s prison cell was just the right size, in that it was large enough to fire up Trump’s base in Montana, but not so large that it would grab the attention of the liberal media. Good job”
- Yes, I would. “Bad news, the rally outside of Trump’s prison cell had a lot of both trump supporters and protestors and the two groups quickly turned violent and it drew an enormous amount of media attention and you are getting badly hurt by the controversy.”
- No, I wouldn’t “Good news, the Montana people respected your ability to be removed from national politics of a rally outside of Trump’s prison cell.”
- No, I wouldn't “Bad news, Trump’s base is furious at you for not showing up to your father’s rally from outside of Trump’s prison cell.”
- Inflation continues to ravage the nation. How will you put an end to it?
- We’re gonna stop handing out money and stop all this nonsense spending. “This has fired up your core supporters, but most independents are worried about this kind of messaging.”
- I would like to reduce tariffs and remove regulatory barriers “Trump’s tariffs are popular with the Trump wing of the Republican party, but this answer should win over more libertarian-minded Republicans”
- The destructive conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues to go on. How will you put an end to it if at all?
- I will urge for American neutrality in the Ukraine-Russia war “You’ve pleased your diehard base, but most independents want America to side with Ukraine during this destructive conflict”
- I will keep the current path of issuing sanctions against Russia “This is probably the best answer to please the majority of Montanans.”
- I will urge America to get involved on Ukraine’s side against Russia “This wins over independents at the expense of winning over your base.”
- I will urge the UN to create a demilitarized zone on the Ukraine-Russia border and urge Ukraine and Russia to come to a comprehensive peace treaty “This wins over the neocons in your party at the expense of the Trump wing of your party.”
- China has repeatedly made threats against Taiwan, and there have been fears that China might invade Taiwan. How will you prevent this from happening?
- This is Taiwan’s problem, not ours “This wins over the hardcore isolationists in your party at the expense of mainstream Americans”
- We will issue sanctions against China if they choose to invade Taiwan “This is probably the best answer to please the majority of Montanans”
- I urge America to intervene in this conflict against China “Are you insane, no one wants war with China!”
- I will urge China and Taiwan to create a demilitarized zone between them and a comprehensive peace treaty “This might be a good strategy”
- There continue to be migrants and drugs that are flowing across the southern border. What would you do to stop this from happening?
- We need to strengthen our border security and build a wall “This is a good solution to win over the hard-core Trumpsits in your party”
- Look, this is Montana, we are nowhere near the southern border. Do we need to campaign on this issue? “Fair enough”
- We need a compromise solution of granting the illegals in this country a pathway to citizenship in return for building a stronger immigration enforcement system “This is a good way to win over independent voters”
8. Jon Tester, despite being a senator from Montana, one of the most pro-gun states in America, strongly came out in favor of gun control after the Uvalde shooting. What is your opinion on gun control?
- The Democrats are using school shootings as an excuse to take away our 2nd amendment rights “This attack is mildly successful, but the damage is limited because people want to know what you would do differently to stop school shootings”
- We need more armed guards at the front of schools to prevent these shootings, not to take away guns “This is an interesting solution”
- We need to spend more money on mental health clinics to treat these dangerous individuals “This wins over the Trump wing of social conservatives, but many fiscal conservatives are uncomfortable talking about this much government spending”
- Abortion has become an increasingly important issue throughout America, how will you deal with this issue
- I will pass a law that will ban abortion nationwide “This fires up your base at the expense of independents”
- This isn’t our problem. We will let the people of each state decide that for ourselves “This fires up independents at the expense of the base”
- We should pass a law that bans travel from one state to another or traveling from one country to another to receive an abortion “This should meet the fine line of appealing to your base while also winning over independents.”
- Now onto more state-centered issues. The state of Montana has an enormous amount of agriculture, farms, and ranches, and the amount they make has been decreasing. How will you plan to deal with this
- I will fight for Montana exports in trade deals “ an unusual position for a Republican to take, but this could work”
- This isn’t a problem we can solve, this is for the free market “This is a more traditional platform to run on as a Republican, but not a popular one amongst the Montana people.”
- RNG Will you agree to debate Jon Tester?
- Yes I will “You won”
- Yes I will “You and Tester tied”
- Yes I will “You lost”
- No, we have a massive lead “People don’t trust you if you don’t debate, expect this to hurt you badly”
- RNG You are meeting with Libertarian candidate Rick Breckenridge, to see if you can convince him to drop out and endorse you.
- I hope he drops out "Good news. He dropped out."
- I hope he drops out "Bad news. He doesn't drop out."
- There's no way around it. Although you own a ranch in Montana, Montana is not your state of permanent residence and many view you as a carpet bagger. How do you plan to respond?
- I will counter-attack by showing Tester as a DC insider who is out of touch with Montanan values "This doesn't work well, as Tester routinely tours the state"
- I will tout my outsider credentials as an advantage, as I can reform Montana from the outside to Make Montana Great Again “MMGA”
- Which Montana Republican would you like to go on tour with today?
- I would like to go on tour with Montana’s governor, Greg Gianforte “Well this didn’t work out well, as many are still angry about the incident that Greg Gianforte caused in 2017 when he ran for the house and bragged on social media about how he was so far ahead in the polls that he could beat up a reporter and still win, then proceeded to beat up a reporter and still narrowly won. Expect to take a dip in the polls.”
- I would like to go on tour with Montana’s incumbent Republican senator, Steve Daines “This worked out well, as Steve Daines is broadly popular amongst conservatives and independents”
- I would like to go on tour with Matt Rosendale, who ran for the Montana senate seat in 2018 and lost “Campaigning with Matt Rosendale offends no one, but pleases no one either”
- News has broken out about how your girlfriend, Kimberly Gilfoyle, has been fired from Fox News for sexual harassment. How do you want to do damage control?
- As much as I love my girlfriend, I have no control over her behavior and I condemn this incident of behavior completely “This is probably the best you could do given this bad situation”
- Who cares, this is my girlfriend’s sexual harassment case, not mine “Well, you’re the one who’s dating her, so this makes you look bad.”
- I condemn my girlfriend completely for this behavior and I am breaking up with her for it “This is a strong answer which could win over women voters, but this only draws more attention to an incident that already looks incredibly ugly”
- How would you like to attack Jon Tester if at all?
- We need to emphasize that Jon Tester has voted with Joe Biden 91% of the time. Jon Tester pretends to distance himself from Biden, but Tester is just one of Biden’s puppets who happens to be in a Trump +16 state “That’s it, hit Tester where it hurts!”
- We need to emphasize that Jon Tester is out of touch with Montana values lives in Washington DC and constantly votes in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi and votes for drag queens and transing the kids “This attack doesn’t win over independents, but it sure does fire up the base”
- We should run compare and contrast ads between Kyrsten Sinema and Jon Tester, showing how Sinema is in a bluish-purple state and constantly stabs Biden in the back while Jon Tester is from a deep red state and constantly votes lock step with Biden “This ad was incredibly effective”
- We should run ads of gas prices soaring under Tester and Biden, while gas prices were falling under Trump Sr. and will continue to fall under Trump Jr. “This ad was mild to moderately effective, but voters want to know what specific policy you will implement to lower gas prices
- One interesting idea that has been proposed by many Democrats is to put abortion clinics on Native American reservations, as their lands aren’t governed by the US. Montana has some of the most native reservations in the country. What are your thoughts on this?
- This is an abhorrent practice that will lead to more children being killed as a loophole around the Dobbs .vs. Jackson's case allowed each state to choose whether or not to allow abortion “This answer fires up the base but hurts you with independents”
- I don’t care either way, this is up for the leaders of the native reservations to decide themselves “This might be the best you can do with a difficult question like this”
- Small government means small government, therefore lands that are not on American soil should be allowed to build abortion clinics to serve the public, as we are the party of small government that favors bodily autonomy “This answer helps with independents and hurts with the base”
- Not to talk too much about abortion, but a new bill has been proposed in the Montana State House that would criminalize pregnant Montanans for traveling out of state or out of the country to receive an abortion elsewhere. What are your thoughts on this bill?
- I think Montana should ban all abortions within its borders, but banning Montana residents from traveling out of state or out of the country to receive an abortion elsewhere is too harsh “No one loves this answer, but no one hates it either”
- Being pro-life means being all the way pro-life, which means that we should criminalize out-of-state and out-of-country travel to receive an abortion elsewhere “Your base eats this up, but this stance makes independents gag”
- As a Republican, I naturally believe in making government as small as possible, meaning that native american reservations should be allowed to have abortion clinics and that people should be allowed to travel out of state and out of the country to receive abortions “Independents are lining up behind you, but your base is threatening to stay home”
- RNG. The Montana state legislature has just passed new laws banning Tribal ID cards and requiring you to present your address to vote, which Native Americans on reservations don’t have as a way to stop Native Americans, who disproportionately vote Democrat, from voting. What are your thoughts on this?
- This should help me win “Good news, Native Americans aren’t getting the new IDs and addresses necessary for voting for Tester, so this will help you.”
- This should help me win “Bad news, Native Americans are now turning out in higher numbers than ever before and are getting the new IDs and licenses necessary to vote. Expect this to hurt you.”
20. You have talked about reducing the amount of money that we spend to reduce inflation. Where would you like to make cuts in spending - I don’t know, everywhere maybe “This is not specific enough, and Jon Tester’s mediscare strategy is working eerily well”
- First, cuts will be made to foreign aid “In general, if you have to cut anything, cut foreign aid first, then again, most Americans are supportive of Ukraine in their war against Russia, so this might also backfire”
- We should cut farming subsidies and allow farmers to properly partake in the free market “Montana is a very agricultural state, so this doesn’t play well”
- Jon Tester has attacked you with an attack ad of you speaking with your father and Rudi Giuliani at the Save America rally on January 6th where you tell the crowd to stand up and fight as they proceed to walk towards the capital and invade it. How will you react
- This was a poor choice of words for me. Although I said the word fight in a physical sense, what I meant to say was fought in a metaphorical stance by protesting the certification of the 2020 election “This might be the best thing you can say to keep your base on your side while not angering independents”
- I played no role in causing the violence that most people did on January 6th as I meant to fight in a metaphorical sense, not in a literal sense. It should be noted that only a small portion of people that attended that rally on January 6th broke into the capital “Most voters believe that you played a role on January 6th, and this answer doesn’t help”
- These people who entered the capital were brain-dead idiots who thought this would be a good idea. Why should I be responsible for their actions “You were the one who encouraged them to do it.”
- Montana has one of the slowest internet speeds in the country due to its rural location. Would you be willing to spend government money to increase the internet speed in Montana?
- I understand the urge to help Montanans with slow internet, but this is a function best served by private companies, not the government “This helps with the base, but hurts with independents”
- We need to spend government money to help Montanans with slow internet “This helps with independents but hurts the base”
- Do you plan to pass more laws to engage in culture wars and ban drag story hour, and critical race theory
- No, these culture wars about drag story hour just distract from the main issues at hand “Some sense a missed opportunity to win points amongst the base, but others appreciate you for not constantly attacking”
- Yes, we need to protect our children from drag story hour and critical race theory “This will win you points amongst your base but hurt you with independents and libertarian-minded voters.”
- What will be your ending message as this campaign draws to a close?
- Don’t let Jon Tester fool you, he’s no moderate and he votes for Biden 91% of the time. Tester is Biden, and Biden is bad. Tester is Biden’s puppet. Make sure to vote for my dad for president and me for the senate. “This is probably a good strategy considering how Tester votes for Biden 91% of the time, and although Tester is somewhat popular in the state, Biden is not.”
- I want to hold a big rally in a field in Billings with a jumbotron where my dad is presented on the big screen from prison. My dad Trump Sr. will carry Montana by double digits, so all I have to do is ride his coattails to victory “Your dad is popular in Montana, so tying yourself to him as closely as possible might be a good idea.”
- I want to nationalize this race as much as possible. A vote for me is a vote for my dad who is running for president, while a vote for Tester is a vote for Biden “This is a good strategy, as you will need your dad’s momentum to gain victory in this senate race.”
- Where in Montana will you spend your last days campaigning
- I will campaign in the Helena area around Lewis and Clark and Cascade counties. Tester may have won them in 2018, but Trump won them in 2020, so with one last push, we should flip them red
- I will campaign in the rural eastern parts of the state to maximize conservative turnout such as in Custer and Prairie counties
- I will expand my appeal by campaigning in the rural northern parts of the state with Native American reservations such as Glacier County
- I will campaign in the Missoula area, a traditionally liberal area and college town in Missoula County

2023.05.29 04:47 JLGoodwin1990 If you ever think you see something peering at you from around a corner, ignore it
Have you ever had the experience of swearing you saw something at the edge of your vision, peering at you from around a corner before? I’m fairly sure a good chunk of people have, maybe even you reading this right now. Regardless of whether you’re in a crowded area such as a mall or school, or home by yourself, you’ve more than likely had that strange sensation of being watched, usually accompanied by a slight shiver down your spine. You’ll snap your head up from whatever it is you’re doing, or whoever you’re talking to. And nothing will be there. But, you always swear that, at the very edge of your vision, you saw something. A slight blur, as if something was there, but seemed to anticipate your move, and pulled back out of sight. I’m fairly certain most of you just end up shaking it off. You shake your head, telling yourself that nothing was there, and go back to what you were doing.
That’s a good thing. Because it’s what keeps you safe. It’s what keeps you alive.
Like many of you, for years, I always wrote seeing the slight blur at the edge of my sight off as a trick of my eyes. “Being so focused on one particular area that the rest of your vision goes fuzzy” as my mother once told me when I, as a child, told her I’d seen something at the doorway to my bedroom. And as I grew older, I simply took it as fact, the way every child takes their parent’s wisdom to heart. And once I became an adult, I simply waved it away completely.
That was, until one night.
You see, as a thirty-something year old bachelor who makes just above the line of adequate pay, I live by myself in a small, one bedroom apartment. It means having to live farther out from the city where I work, but I prefer living alone over not having to make the rather long drive to and from work every day. And, because my free time during the day is close to zero, I also am a bit of a night owl. This particular night, about three and a half weeks ago, I was up late, sitting at my kitchen table with my laptop out in front of me. I was surfing the net, looking for good deals on EBay for a new DVD/VCR combo since my old one broke, when the feeling came over me. The small, but noticeable shiver shot up my spine, and at the upper edge of my vision, just below where my hair began to drift into my eyes, I saw it.
It was a black and silver blur. At least, that’s what it looked like to me. I lifted my head quickly, looking towards the corner I’d seen it. My kitchen is in the back of the apartment, and where the table is set up, I was looking back out into the living room. The bedroom also sits next to the kitchen, and the wall separating the two stretches out a bit, causing a rather large blind spot from where I sat. Of course, when I looked up, there was nothing there. For a few more seconds, I simply sat, staring at the corner. Nothing moved. There was no sound except for the quiet whine of my laptop’s fan, and the hum of the fridge. I snorted. Really, Eddie? You’re jumping at shadowy blurs now? What are you, eight years old again? And with a shake of my head, I went back to the computer screen.
The hours seemed to pass by at an accelerated pace, and to my surprise, when I checked the clock at the bottom right of my laptop screen, the time said quarter to three in the morning. “Holy crap, I stayed up too friggin’ late!” I whispered to myself. I’d barely be getting four or five hours of sleep. And so, with a yawn, I shut my computer down and put it back into its carrying bag. As I stood up, though, a slight feeling of apprehension wiggled its way to the forefront of my mind. I lifted my head from zipping up the bag and again stared at the corner. This time there was nothing there. No blur at all. Recalling what my mother had told me years ago, I stood up and slowly stepped into the center of the kitchen, where I could see around the corner. I felt a small pang of embarrassment at the relief that washed over me as I saw nothing was there.
“What next, you gonna start believing in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus again?” I muttered to myself. And with that, I entered my bedroom, shutting the door behind me and climbing into bed. For a moment, the image of the blur danced behind my eyelids. And then the sandman overtook me, plunging me into a deep and dreamless sleep.
The next day passed by like I was wading through quicksand. Of course, it likely had to do with how tired I was. But I got through the day, and soon enough, I was back home. This time, I resolved to get to bed before midnight. One AM at the latest. So I didn’t go on my computer. Instead, I watched some TV, and indulged myself in a few online matches in Battlefield 1. Soon enough, the clock sitting next to the TV displayed 12:35 in big red numbers. Alright, time for bed, I thought, and stood up, shutting off the TV and Xbox. I decided that I would get myself a drink before bed, and moved to the fridge. Opening it, I pulled a pitcher of juice out, and grabbing a glass from a nearby cabinet, poured myself some. The cold liquid felt good sliding down my throat, and I let out a relieved sigh. For a moment, I closed my eyes. Apart from the sound of a diesel truck passing by outside, and the ticking of the clock over the sink, all was silent. And I loved it. I placed the glass in the sink to wash tomorrow, and turned to take the pitcher back to the fridge.
And nearly dropped it at what I saw. As I turned around, I had a clear view across the kitchen and living room toward the small alcove where my front door sat. And for just a second, I saw the same black and silver blur, pulling back out of sight from the edge of my vision. Except this time, I know it wasn’t just a trick of my vision, or a strand of hair flashing in front of my face. “Hey!” I reflexively yelled out. I didn’t expect any response, and I didn’t get any. But now I knew for certain. There was something, or someone there. I felt my pulse rapidly quicken, and my heart began to beat like a drum against my chest. Fucking great, did someone decide to break in and try to burgle my apartment, of all places tonight? I looked around quickly for something to defend myself. My eyes fell upon the block holding all my kitchen knives, and moving quickly, I pulled the largest one out and turned back towards the entryway.
There was no movement now, but I noticed a change in the atmosphere. Gone was the simple, vacant air the apartment always held. Now, it seemed to contain a charge to it. As if seeing the figure had been something they hadn’t planned on. As if I weren’t supposed to have seen it. Probably figured I’d already be in bed. Well, they have a massive surprise coming their way. I cleared my throat. “You back there” I called out simply. Again, there was no reply. I spoke again. “Look, I saw you there peeking around the corner of the entryway. The jig is up. I don’t want a fight right now, so, I’ll make you a deal. If you turn around right now and leave, I won’t call the cops on you, and I won’t come at you with this knife. Just, go find someone else to rob, okay?”
Still, there was silence. But the tension in the room seemed to have racked up more than a few notches at my words. I waited for a minute, feeling my temper begin to flare. Does the dumbass seriously believe that if he stays quiet, I’ll believe he’s not there and go to bed or something? It wouldn’t be a surprise; the people who usually broke into houses and apartments in my neighborhood were usually strung out on the drug of choice for the week, or, in all truthfulness, simply not that bright. I let out an annoyed growl. “If I have to come over there to get, it’s not gonna end well for you” I said. At six feet even, and in good shape, I could easily take on whoever it was.
The silence was almost deafening. Okay, the hell with this, man. I strode quickly across the room, the knife held out in front of me in a vice like grip. I stopped for a moment, drawing in all my strength and reflexes. For a moment, though, an odd sensation seemed to wash over me like a wave. To my surprise, it was a bolt of fear. But, fear of what? Yes, it was a bit dangerous to about to confront a cornered intruder, but fear shouldn’t be one of the experienced emotions. Shaking it away, I put all the muscle into my legs, and leapt around the corner.
There was nobody there.
For a moment, I simply stood there, feeling dumbfounded. “Uhhh….what?” I blurted out. I knew for a fact I’d seen someone there. It hadn’t been a trick of my eyes. And I hadn’t heard the front door open. In fact, looking down at it now, I saw the little knob on the door handle was, in fact, twisted into the locked position. As I stared down at it, a sudden, huge shiver rushed up my spine, combined with the feeling of being stared at intensely. In fact, it almost felt as though whoever were doing the staring, were almost directly behind me-shit!
On instinct, I whirled around, slashing out with the knife as hard as I could. But again, there was nothing. No one stood behind me. The oddest thing, though, was that as soon as I spun around, the feeling of eyes boring into the back of my skull ceased. As if the watcher had simply blinked out of existence the moment I turned. But the tension in the apartment didn’t go away. In fact, it almost seemed to intensify. And it kept me on edge. Enough to the point that I searched the entire apartment. I went into the bathroom, drawing back the shower curtain. I went into my bedroom and opened up the sliding doors to the closet. I even opened up both closets in the living room, pulling out all the coats and boxes someone could hide behind. But I found nothing. No trace of anybody. Even still, though, when I went to bed, I locked the door to my bedroom behind me, just in case. And I slept with the knife on my bedside table.
The next morning, when I awoke, the feeling had vanished from the apartment. It was almost as if the daylight had banished the tension filled aura away, and I was glad for it. Along with the fact that I had a full day of work ahead of me. And so, with a final look around, I locked the front door behind me, climbed into my old, but well taken care of Mitsubishi Starion, and made the two and a half hour drive into the city for work. The day passed by without much fuss, aside from a mandatory team meeting my dickhead boss decided to impose on us during our lunch break. The monotony calmed me down somewhat, and I began to mentally tease myself for how bent out of shape I’d gotten last night. I even decided to tell some of the guys at the water cooler about it.
Everyone, of course, had a good laugh over it. “Well, Ed, if I ever need someone to slice away at the dark emptiness of my house, I’ll be sure to give you a call!” Mark, one of my coworkers joked, causing everyone, including myself, to guffaw some more. The joking shoved it completely out of my mind, and before I knew it, the evening had arrived. I packed up my belongings back into the car and made the journey back home, still chuckling a bit to myself and humming along to the songs playing on the car’s radio. As I pulled into my apartment building’s parking lot and into my space at close to ten at night, however, I saw something which tore away that relaxed, relieved emotion from me like it’d been a loved one in the grip of a tsunami.
My complex is set up in a U formation with two floors, sort of similar to how an older built motel looks. My apartment was the second one on the top floor, and from where I sat in my car, I could look up and see the living room window of my place between the slats of the walkway’s railing. As I always did, when I left, I’d twisted shut the white venetian blinds so nobody walking past the window could look into my place.
Someone was peering down at me from between the blinds. From between my blinds.
I felt my blood turn to ice as I saw the obvious parting in the middle of them, signifying someone was pulling down on a section of them. And then doubly so when they, just as quickly, snapped back into position. Shitttt, I mentally hissed. I fumbled around in my coat pockets, looking for my cell phone. I let out a groan as I suddenly realized I’d forgotten it when I’d left home that morning. Which meant it was up there. With them. “Shit” I hissed again, out loud this time. I gazed around for a moment at the darkened windows of the other units. But I knew none of my neighbors would be of any help to me. Long gone were the days of neighbors looking out for each other; they would, inevitably, tell me to either find a way to call the cops myself, or straight up tell me to go fuck myself, that it wasn’t their problem. Which, unless I wanted to drive straight to my local police station, over twenty minutes away, the only other option was…to go in myself.
Hissing through gritted teeth, I pulled the door handle and kicked the door open, letting the chilly night air flood into the car’s interior. I reached down and yanked on the trunk release before climbing out and slamming the door. Crossing to it, I pulled the glass hatch up and fumbled around inside for a moment, before withdrawing a tire iron from the mess of crap cluttering up the trunk. Slamming the hatch closed, I took a deep breath, then, leaving my car’s engine running in case I needed to make a quick getaway, I took the stairs to the top floor two at a time. A moment later, I was standing at the head of the landing, staring at the Tweety-Bird yellow painted door of my apartment. My heart pounded in my chest as I took a step forward, reaching out slowly and gripping the handle in one hand. I gave it a small twist to see if it would turn.
But it stayed in place, showing that the door was still locked. Or, whoever’s in there locked it behind them. Swallowing a bit, I reached into my pants pocket for my house keys with my free hand. Pulling them out, I slid them as quietly as possible into the lock in the center of the doorknob. I took a deep breath, knowing as soon as I twisted the key, the doorknob would turn with it as well. “God, please don’t let me get jumped as soon as I step inside” I quietly whispered towards the dark sky. I let out the deep breath, then raised the tire iron over my head and twisted the key.
The knob turned, and I immediately pushed the door open. It swung inwards, before hitting the wall with a soft clunk. The porch light cast a long, narrow shaft of light into the dark room beyond, reflecting off my flat screen TV on the far side of the living room. Aside from that, though, the place was as dark and silent as a tomb. My pulse quickened as I slowly reached inside, my hand searching for the light switch. Part of my feared that, as I blindly searched, I’d suddenly feel a vice like grip seize my wrist and pull me into the dark. The mental image sent a shiver of fear through me, just as my fingers found the plastic switch. Flicking it on, the living room suddenly became awash in the bright overhead light. Still holding the tire iron over my head, I took a tentative step inside. The atmosphere in here had changed again. Gone was the tense one which had accompanied seeing…whoever the other night. In its place was….an almost threatening one. And realizing it set me even farther on edge.
Moving quickly, I leaned around the corner, giving me a glimpse of the kitchen beyond. Both it, and the living room were empty, from initial appearances, anyways. But that still left the bathroom, and the kitchen. Something caught my eye, however, which filled me with relief. My cell phone still sat where I’d left it, in the middle of the living room coffee table. I moved slowly, trying to stay as quiet as possible so whoever was hidden wouldn’t realize I was going for my phone and bum rush me. I held my breath as I passed by the half open doors of both my bathroom and bedroom, stepping around the couch and picking up my phone. I decided right there and then, that I’d step back outside and call the cops. There was a fine line between being courageous, and being suicidally stupid, and searching this place on my own, with just a tire iron to defend myself, especially knowing someone was hiding somewhere in here, was firmly on the latter side of that line.
I turned to begin walking quickly back to the open front door. But something stopped me. Something which made me freeze. There was a small section of eggshell white wall between the door to one of my closets, and the bathroom door. Something had been written there. No, not written, I realized. It had been scratched into the wall. My eyes flashed over the three words etched into the paint and plaster. Videre nos potest. My head swam with confusion, trying to place what language it was. That was when I felt my heart almost stop in my chest, my breath along with it.
Out of the left corner of my vision, I saw the door to my bedroom had slowly, but noticeably swung open a bit. That wasn’t what had caused my heart to skip a beat, though. It was seeing the black and silver blur again. Ohhhhh, shit. Before the thought had finished in my head, I was dashing for the door. Out of the corner of my vision, there was a sudden blur of movement as the black and silver figure came flying out of the room. It never made a sound, though. I dodged it, somehow, and flew around the corner, snatching the doorknob in my free hand and yanking the door shut behind me. Twisting the keys to the right to lock the door again, I tore them from the lock and thundered back down the stairs, yanking the door to my car open and crashing into the driver’s seat. Slamming the door shut and locking it, I dropped the tire iron and fumbled with my phone.
As the voice of the emergency dispatcher came on the other end of the line, and I stumbled through explaining what had happened, I kept my gaze locked through the windshield on the front door and the living room window. I swear I saw the blinds part again as I heard the wail of the police sirens approaching.
When the police arrived, I jumped out of my car and quickly explained what had happened. They took my house keys from me and with their pistols drawn, climbed quickly up the steps to my place. With neighbors opening their doors and parting their blinds to see what was happening, they unlocked the door and quickly entered. A few minutes later, they both reappeared and waved for me to come up and join them. “I’m sorry sir, but whoever it was, they’re gone” one of them said to me. He then showed me that the window in the back of the apartment, which was in the back of the kitchen and opened out onto a main road, had been opened, the mosquito screen having been cut to allow someone to jump out. I stared out and down at the two story drop. It would hurt to jump from this height, but it’s doable, I thought. The cops again did a sweep of the apartment, turning the entire place upside down with me there, and again, found no one. They both promised to stay the night outside, to keep an eye on the place in case the person attempted to try and come back, and would make sure an officer was posted outside for the next week or so. It made me feel more than a bit better.
“What about the writing scratched into the wall?” I asked them, pointing to it. The first officer shrugged. “I honestly don’t know, sir” he said, giving me an apologetic look, “That’s a language I’ve never seen before” That’s when the second spoke up. “It’s Latin” he said simply. We both looked at him. He was staring at the writing with a bit of a confused, if not apprehensive look on his face. “But what freaking low level criminal knows Latin?” he murmured quietly, more to himself than us. “Well, what does it say?” I asked him. For a few seconds, he didn’t answer, then he finally turned and looked at me.
“He can see us. That’s, roughly, what it says”
I felt a massive chill shoot up my spine at his words, though I couldn’t understand why. Not at the time.
As promised, the officers watched over the apartment the rest of the night. And for the next week, there was always at least one cop car sitting outside. It was also, thankfully, quiet that next week. I was almost able to feel completely calm, putting the frightening experience out of my mind and allowing my life to regain a bit of normalcy. I didn’t feel any sensation of being watched. One thing I did do, though, was type the Latin words into Google, in an attempt to see if anything came up. But nothing did. I decided to push the last remnants out of my conscious mind. And as the weekend came, I looked forward to sitting on the couch, playing video games all night, and having a bottle of Hypnotiq to myself. Saturday night, I played until almost one in the morning, before stumbling my drunk ass to the bed. I passed out almost as soon as my head hit the pillow.
I’m honestly not sure what woke me up. But when I slid my eyes open, it was still to darkness. I felt my head begin to spin, showing that I wasn’t fully sober yet. I shot a look at the bright red glowing numbers of the clock on the bedside table next to my head. 3:30AM. Ugh, what the hell? Do I have to piss? What woke me u-
Everything stopped. My mind froze mid-thought, and my heart fluttered in my chest. My breath hitched in my chest as my eyes adjusted to the dark, staring across the room. I was looking at my bedroom closet, which, when I’d fallen asleep, I’d looked over and seen it closed. But now, as I stared, I realized the sliding right door had been pulled back some. A chill ran through me. And then it was replaced by a bone chilling shiver of fear as my eyes locked on to something else. Something which stared at me from around the edge of the half open closet door.
It was the black and silver blur. Except this time, it wasn’t a full on blur. I’m not sure whether it was the darkness or the alcohol still flowing through my veins, but…I could see it a bit more clearly now. I couldn’t see much. Just what looked like two large, very dark eyes, glaring at me. I felt frozen in place, fear quite literally paralyzing me to the bed. As I lay there, my eyes widened to the size of saucers, I slowly became aware of something else. Something which I’ll never forget, which I can still hear in the silence. It was whispering. It was a soft, hissing voice, sounding as grating as sandpaper, but it almost seemed to be growing in intensity. As if it knew I was awake and was staring at it. And it was not even remotely happy about it. The words were indistinguishable at first, but as the voice grew louder, the words became clear. But they weren’t words I knew. Or a language I knew.
“Tolle qui nos videre potest. Tolle qui nos videre potest. Tolle…qui nos videre potest!” I recognized some of the words as the same as the words written on my wall. It was speaking in Latin. The voice grew angrier and angrier, turning from a hiss into almost a demonic growl. And then, it went deadly silent. It almost seemed as though the entire world had gone dead silent, as if everything were being sucked out of the world.
That’s when I saw the hand reach up from underneath the bed to grab onto the sheets, less than a foot from my face. A hand which more resembled a claw, tipped with five razor sharp fingernails. There’s more than one….and it’s under my fucking bed!
Seeing that hand…that claw reaching up from under the bed broke the paralyzing hold that had come over me. I flew up in bed, flinging the sheets up and forwards and letting out an involuntary scream. Instantly, there seemed to be a world of motion in the bedroom. Black and silver blurs seemed to appear from everywhere. From the closet, from under the bed. Even from inside my armoire I used to store candy, books and CDs. And they were all coming for me.
But I was already moving, practically flying for my open bedroom door. Behind me, I caught the blurs following after me. They were terrifyingly fast, but they stayed silent. Silent, that is, except for the mantra they all suddenly began to angrily whisper. The same words I’d heard the one in the closet angrily hiss. “Tolle qui nos videre potest!” they chanted, just loud enough for me to hear. But not enough for anyone else in the complex to. I ran through the bedroom door, grabbing it and slamming it shut behind me. A moment later, I felt the push from the other side as whatever the things were attempted to force it open. Looking around, I spied a kitchen chair within reach and grabbed it, forcing it under the handle to block the door.
I knew it wouldn’t hold for long, though. I could hear the creatures practically throwing themselves at the door. I used the time I had to grab my computer bag, along with the clothes I’d left strewn on my living room floor and my cell phone. I’d just snatched my car keys from their hook, when I realized they’d gone silent. The assault on the door stopped. For a split second, I felt a wave of relief. And then I saw something out of the corner of my eye from the kitchen. My blood turned to ice as I realized the cabinet doors under the sink were beginning to open. And that demonic growl of a mantra was beginning to pour out from under it. So was my bathroom door. And both closets. “Oh, fuck me” I whimpered, then dashed for my door, snatching up my sneakers as they rushed out from their new hidey holes.
I unlocked and threw the door open, dashing out into the night and yanking it shut behind me. Bolting down the steps, I jammed the key into the door of my car and unlocked it. I piled into the driver’s seat and yanked the door shut, slamming down on the lock button. Forcing the key into the ignition and twisting it, the engine roared to life. I knew I should simply call the cops, but I knew at this point, if I did, when they arrived, they’d all have disappeared. Maybe even make it look like another person had jumped out the window again They're THAT smart. Instead, I jammed the shifter into reverse and peeled out of the parking lot. As I left, I saw the blinds part again. As they watched me go.
I haven’t been back to my apartment in weeks. I drove all through the night, fighting back the waves of nausea from the alcohol still in my system until I made it to the city where I work. I rented a motel room, and ever since then, I’ve been staying there. I figured I could just eventually have movers go and collect my things from the apartment, and give my thirty day notice. There was no way I was ever going back there.
I thought I would be safe in the city. I thought I would be safe anywhere else but my apartment. That they were bound to the place.
I was wrong. So very wrong.
Because I’ve started seeing them everywhere now. I’ve seen them while out in crowded places such as the mall or Wal-Mart. I’ve seen them in my coworker’s houses when I’m invited over by them as they tell me they’re concerned about how I’m beginning to act. I’m even seeing them at work. Peering at me from around the corners of hallways, from behind the water cooler. I’ve even caught them glaring at me from around the corner of my office cubicle. They whisper that horrible Latin mantra to themselves, now added with evil chuckles. And whisper it to me. I ended up entering the phrase into Google Translate, to understand what they were saying. But wish I never had. Because knowing meaning of the words fills me with an existential dread and terror I’ve never felt before.
Take away he who can see us
You need to listen to me now. You, reading this account I’m posting. I don’t know what these creatures are. I wish I did, because then, I might have some way of fighting back against them. I don’t even know what they fully look like. I’ve only seen their eyes. And their clawed hands. The only thing I can deduce, is that they are incalculably old. Centuries old. Maybe even eons. I now understand that those blurs I saw all throughout my life, from the corner of my vision, were them. They’ve lived alongside us for all of humanity’s existence, staying just out of sight. They like it that way. They don’t like us humans knowing about them.
But I know others, not just myself, have likely seen them.
How many strange cases of people disappearing in their homes, with all the doors and windows locked from the inside have you heard about. I know I’ve heard more than a few. And I think I know what happened to them. They saw these creatures. And when they realized the people could see them? They came for them. They wore them down, mentally and physically. Like they’re doing to me now. I’m afraid to fall asleep. Afraid I’ll wake up to see them right in front of me. I feel so weak now. I couldn’t fight them off if I tried. They know that. They knew that about the others. And that’s when they dragged them away….to God only knows where.
I know I'm going to find out soon enough.
Because all of today, they’ve been getting closer. I caught one trying to grab my leg under my desk. That wasn’t the scariest encounter I’ve had. The worst was driving back to the motel. Looking in the rear view mirror of my Starion. And seeing one of them glaring at me from just behind the rear seat. It caused me to nearly crash into a telephone pole. I’ve locked myself in my motel room, which is where I’m writing this. I don’t have much time left. They’re beginning to poke their heads out from everywhere in here. Multiple have popped their heads up from under the bed, watching me frantically typing this out on my laptop. And they’re all laughing at me. Today is when they're going to take me. They know I know that. I can’t do anything more now. I can’t run from them anymore. I’m too tired. Too weak.
But I can do one final thing. I can warn you. I can post this account here as a warning. I know for a fact most of you won’t believe me. And that’s fine. It may even be what saves you in the end.
But please, listen to me when I say this. If you ever think you see something peering at you from around a corner? If you ever catch a glimpse of a black and silver blur disappearing just out of sight? Don’t investigate it. Just ignore it. Tell yourself it’s nothing, and go about with your lives.
Because you don’t ever want them to realize you can see them.

2023.05.29 04:09 Madness_Combat_man My Timeline (long as heck)
PROLOGUE: This story begins with two families, the Emilys and the Aftons. William Afton and Henry Emily, the businessman and the engineer, two people who together formed an empire, an empire of happiness, an empire where fun and joy come to life. now let's stop nonsense, not everything is rosy. Afton, William Afton has problems, he is going through a divorce and several court battles for the custody of his children, but he is a liar, a cheater. he always lies in court and yet ends up winning custody of each of his children. His wife, the mother of his children, she couldn't stand being alone, being betrayed. unfortunately, she took her own life, she could not stand it.
MIDNIGHT MOTORIST: William was devastated, even being apart affected him. He buried the body of his wife near the house, but he couldn't stand it, he fell into alcohol to the point of being kicked out of JR'S, the local bar. William, drunk and blinded by rage, goes to fredbear's family diner, the restaurant that he and henry opened to get even with henry, but he doesn't find henry, but his daughter, charlie. William, having no one to take it out on and being drunk, made a decision, a decision that would torment him for the rest of his days... after the murder, William watched from his car and noticed that the security puppet left the restaurant to rescue Charlie, but it was too late. Upon noticing this, William ran away at full speed because they could see him, when he got home after passing the speed limit of the roundabout Michael, his oldest son tells him "he had a long day, don't bother him" but he doesn't tell him I was going to say what to do, he was just a teenager. "I told you not to lock your door" "OPEN THE DOOR" William yells "I'll find a way in from the outside" he whispers as he leaves the house, coming out and around the house to his youngest son window he realizes something "he ran away to that place again" the window of the youngest son was broken "when he comes back he will be sorry" he thinks in his mind.
THE BITE OF 83: William knew that his youngest son was running away, even with the bullying he received from his older brother wearing that old, dirty and butchered foxy mask was not enough to prevent his escapes so William thought of taking action more extreme... from his office in his secret "bunker" he was monitoring the cameras that he installed in his youngest son's room while talking to him through a walkie-talkie that he attached to his son's favorite stuffed animal , everything seemed "normal" until now, but his plan would start at night, monstrous versions of the animatronics that his son once adore began to hunt him at night, leaving him without rest from 12 to 6 A.M. His plan worked perfectly, for every night that passed was another day of pure whining. Michael loved it, from one day to the next his younger brother began to be afraid of him and to celebrate he planned the ultimate joke. The next day, michael and his friends were ready, they grabbed michael's little brother, they took him in front of fredbear, they picked him up and..."i think the birthday boy wants to kiss fredbear in 3,2,1... Michael said before his brother's skull was crushed. michael and his friends stopped laughing and began to stress, scream and cry, while the day shift guard called an ambulance. After that William and Michael became distant, with each passing day William became more distant, each day spending more time in his office. He didn't even bother drinking alcohol anymore, William was furious about what Michael did and he wanted him to suffer the consequences and that's when he remembered those animatronics he used against his youngest son that were supposedly nightmares, he's going to make Michael pay for it. what he did.
EPILOGUE: William returns to fredbear's after charlie's "incident", but william noticed something strange in the puppet, charlie's body was covered by the puppet that miraculously continued to work, because it was making a short circuit due to the rain that night, William arrived at the scene of the crime and immediately the puppet began to wave its malfunctioning arms while pointing at william with purple tears that he did not have before, but that did not matter too much to him because they were taking the puppet to the sister location of fredbear's, freddy fazbear's pizza.
FREDDY'S: Due to various springlock failures, the incident involving William's son and the murder of Charlie, the springlock suits and the puppet were removed to Freddy fazbear pizza to be remodeled and used in safer ways, henry was in charge of the pizzeria, even after the death of charlie he was taking care of his work, something that he does not share with William. While Michael suffered at night, William thought about the puppet, about how it was aimed at him, about its tears that were painted on his mask. "Is it Charlie?", he wondered, curiosity was killing him so he decided to do an experiment. William drove to Freddy's, put on the springbonnie suit and started telling lies "your dog is alive, follow me" he lured the kids into the safe room and killed them one by one although he went a bit too far with the fifth "I'll put a bag on the head and I'll hit him with a shovel" poor Cassidy, William put each body in a suit to test if it had an effect, he left the suit and left without anyone seeing him, or so he thought, because the cameras saw him with the suit, but the police let him off because there was no evidence of him being the one wearing the suit.
CBEAR: William knew he had to keep experimenting, but he couldn't go back to Freddy's or the police would eventually catch him, so he got down to business, William created animatronics with mechanisms to catch and kill children, so William could catch and kill children(duh). experimenting with this new thing he discovered called "remnant" but his animatronics didn't kill the right girl. "Daddy, but didn't you just make it for me?" When no one was looking, Elizabeth, William's daughter, approached the circus baby who was tempting her with ice cream, but that didn't turn out very well...
FNAF 2: Freddy's reopens its doors, even with the blood stains in his name he manages to sell pizza and merchandise, William, seeing that Freddy's reopened without him as co-founder, he will not let them take all the glory, if he could kill 5 kids then he can kill another 5, even though he didn't have his rabbit costume he still has the bear costume. This time William didn't even bother to hide the bodies, because the more obvious they are, the more popularity fazbear entertainment is going to lose. William took the night watch job, as he did not get the chance to see the results of his subsequent assassinations, his experiments turned out to be quite effective which led him to continue experimenting in his secret office.
EPILOGUE: After Jeremy's shift change and incident, a new security guard appears on orders from his father to manipulate the animatronics, Michael Afton.
FOLLOW ME BECAUSE NOBODY CARES ABOUT FNAF 1: A year has passed since the closure of Freddy's and William continues to experiment, he knows that animatronics can be possessed, but not how, so he goes to the now abandoned location of Freddy's to try different methods of experimentation in the endo skeletons of the animatronics. The first thing he tried was to melt the endo skeletons and inject them into the funtime animatronics, surprisingly this worked. On his fifth visit in search of more metal parts he found the souls of those children he murdered and we all know how that ended.
SISTER LOCATION: Of all the orders that his father had given him, this was the strangest "look for your sister on the ground floor of CBPW" but Michael did not question it twice and he listened to his father, he went to CBPW, he went to the elevator and there he was in some kind of secret bunker that he never knew about, blah blah blah as "baby" guided Michael towards the scooper, Ennard, this combination of funtime animatronics gets ready, michael arrives at the scooper, Ennard turns on the scooper and...
FNAF 3 AND 4: Michael wants to find his father now more than ever, William took his life and now Michael will take away everything that was important to him. A new Freddy's opened, but it wasn't a pizzeria, it was an attraction, a horror attraction. Michael heads to work there looking for his father and making him pay with his own life and business, and yes, he did find him, but not in the way Michael expected. What was once his father is now a rabbit? How low have you sunk William afton, Michael thinks in his mind. For every night he spent in that attraction hallucinations from his past come to life along with his nightmares, those monstrosities in the shape of Freddy's gang tormented him once again as in his childhood until he put an end to the attraction and to his father.
EPILOGUE: After the fire, fazbear entertainment auctioned off what was left of the ride, even with two people hoping to see and buy William afton he still ran away before the auction. These two people were Henry and Michael who met at the auction, thanks to the fact that the two share the same goal they put together a plan.
FFPS: Henry and Michael start their plan, while Henry informs the rest of the members of Fazbear entertainment to build a new pizzeria, Michael, with CBEAR technology and his technical skills, he creates small robots called RASC using technology of audios that his father had developed to attract the animatronics. Once the pizzeria is finished its construction, Michael attended as a guard to do the interviews with the animatronics and to finish this once and for all.
UCN: Michael and Henry's plan worked, William was dead and paying the consequences of his actions, being tortured by copies of his and Henry's creations, but, ironically, the one that was once massacred by William is now massacring William , Cassidy.
HELP WANTED: Fazbear entertainment was reduced from a corporate entity to an LLC entity. FE uses the little money they had left to make various VR games in an attempt to reverse Freddy's bad reputation, however, the circuit board of one of the endo skeletons they scanned infected the system and two people were possesed, Vanessa, the beta tester and Gregory, a boy who bought the game after Fazbear entertainment believed that the virus disappeared, but the virus is still intact.
In this part the TFTPPs occur that I am not going to explain because I am not here for that, Special Delivery would also go but it does not have much lore.
SECURITY BREACH: After the Storyteller infected the Pizzaplex and killed the CEO and Edwin Murrey, Fazbear entertainment removed the Storyteller from the Pizzaplex although the damage was done, with the arrival of Vanessa and the strange and unexplained presence of Gregory, evil dwelled below from the Pizzaplex with the intention of copying and imitating William Afton who had been dead for at least a year. END.
