At least, I hope he liked the vodka, I ordered a bottle yesterday, as I can't drive at the moment, and I'd forgotten to include it in the woolies order.
I've been using doordash for about a year, I've only ever ordered stuff to my home address, about once every 3 weeks, so I didn't look at the address the order was going to be delivered to, as I've only ever entered it the one time, for my first order, I logged in, picked a bottle, clicked check out, and when the map came up, realised that for some reason, the delivery address was pointing to the same street name as mine, but several suburbs away, so I clicked help, and had a chat to one of the help agents at doordash.
He was very nice, but after checking with a supervisor, advised me I'd have to come to some arrangement with the dasher myself, there was nothing they could do, when asked why my address had changed on the doordash site without me changing it, he closed the chat.
I sent a txt to the dasher, and pretty much said he could keep the vodka, as I couldn't get to him, and I wasn't about to ask him to travel 40k to deliver an order (what if he was on a pushbike, which I mentioned to the agent in the chat), the dasher apologised, but I told him it wasn't his fault at all, and to have a good long weekend, does this count as a good deed?, as I may be a few behind ;)
Anyhoo, I won't be using doordash again, I've had orders go wrong with both ubereats and menulog, and both places were very helpful, and arranged a re-delivery or a refund, it was a bit of a shock to be told to make my own arrangements to fix an error I hadn't caused myself, btw newscorp shoppers, feel free to use this to save yourselves some work ;)

(In case you didn’t see my edits to the first post, I decided to split these by type so they’re more digestable. Also, though I happened to do 1 first, I won’t necessarily do them ‘in order’.)

Naranjo explained this explicitly but folded it under part of reaction formation, however I think it’s distinct enough to be discussed on its own – BHE also discussed this in a podcast episode without assigning it a name.
What happens is, the 1 has strong ideas and preferences about how things ‘should’ be and how they want their life to go in a regular, orderly manner – starting from the part of the reptile brain that is to do with regularity & sense of order, and then building on it further with their search for “the best way to do things” and the experience-based judgements of their implicit mind.
Much of the goal behind this is autonomy – Like the child that gets trusted with more decisions because they are so mature & responsible & don’t give others reason to scold them.
But what if someone comes along & tells you to do things differently anyway?
You argue that your way is right, whether that means its more efficient, more rational, more moral, more responsible etc. and so by extension theirs is wrong.
In this, the rational mind may well be employed to great effect (many 1s are doctors, engineers, philosophers etc.) but sort of in the way that philosophy was employed in the middle ages: Any paths of reasoning that could contradict “what is right” (in the case of the medieval philosophers, church doctrine) weren’t going to be pursued.
So if you have an 1 who prefers to get up early, they might espouse beliefs in the advantages of getting up early & how this is the most disciplined & virtuous way to do this, whereas if another 1 is a night owl they will embark on a mission to make workplaces more friedly to people with different circadian rythms, and neither might connect it to their own preference -
Instead they will completely frame it in impersonal terms of competency and/or superego – this way is most efficient, this way is correct, this way is what’s right. Or: That thing is objectively wrong & disgusting and anyone who doesn’t see that is a sick fuck. You’re not nitpicking, you care that it’s done right.
When others get the impression that you’re just trying to boss them & force your way on them, you don’t see where it’s coming from – it’s not about your way, you think, it’s about “what’s right”… so you figure it must be because they’re debauched or something.
Useful Question:
If you strongly feel that something is right: Is it truly the best method, or is it maybe just the way that you personally prefer it?
Note also that realizing you simply prefer it doesn’t mean you have to give up or self-flagellate for being selfish or failing to be impartial.
In some situations you might have an easier time getting your partner to agree to consider your needs & preferences if you say it personally bothers you rather than argue about the objectively correct way to load a dishwasher.
It’s ok to have wants, preferences & be subjective in some areas. Obvsly if you’re doing surgery you should totally follow the protocol as perfectly as possible, but ‘correct’ clothes or hairstyle is much harder to define.
You can prefer something even if it’s not “Objectively The Best”. It just ‘feels’ less ‘defensible’ because as a competency type you have a neutrality bias. And of course once you allow that it becomes natural to let others have different preferences.
Meanwhile, if you strongly feel something is wrong: Why is it wrong? Get that head center online. Now if you’re not used to it, this can be uncomfortable: 1s have a high need for closure and hence dislike ambiguity – they tend to want a clear answer, now. When you’re used to relying on the implicit mind whose output feels very solid, real and obvious, going into the abstractions of the mental center can feel airy & ungrounded – you might be worried that you might come up with an excuse or talk yourself into thinking some terrible thing is actually ok. But your implicit mind can mislead you as much as abstract theory might.
You might find that forbidding a lot of what’s universally agreed to be awful can easily be justified in terms of logical reasons. Look at the 6s – you can use your head center and still be morals-oriented. Be more willing to consider logical counterarguments even for things that trigger repulsion in you – just considering them without per se accepting them. Even if you still disagree, knowing how the other side thinks can help you persuade them.

But what if there is a desire that cannot be justified in this way, perhaps because it clashes with the 1s stated values, principles and beliefs? You can’t easily give up on the principles if those feel integral to who you are, why you do everything you do & why you should get anything at all.
So, the incongruent impulse is transformed into its opposite.
To consider why it has to be like this, it might be illustrative to tell you about a discussion I read on here once of various 8s (whose default tendency is to act on most impulses in an unmodified form) on how to overcome problems with impulsivity. Just trying to hold in the impulse through sheer will often doesn’t work because the next thing will just set them off, there is a quick connection between stimulus & response, thinking their way out of it like a head type might won’t cut it, but what does work a lot better is to point the ‘kinetic energy’ somewhere else, such as by exercising.
The gut types take in the world on a viscerally felt, kinesthetic level (Rohr, a 1 himself, referred to it as ‘full body blows’) & this leads to building up immediate reactions to it. So ‘redirecting’ the impulse, or rather forming an immediate counter-reaction to it, is more natural than just extinguishing it.
The purpose of the reaction is not only to “defend” against acting the ‘unacceptable’ impulse, but to “defend” your conscious self from the distress and incongrence of even recognizing the impulse, that is, to push it out of consciousness. Like saying some prayers to make the “dirty thoughts” go away.
If you read the experiences of 1s (or even 1 fixers) you see that the impulses already arrive in consciousness in this ‘civilized’ form: Not ‘this annoys me’ but ‘this is not good enough!’
The physically felt swell of what might otherwise be irritation comes in as frustration about how the thing was done wrong & how it could all be perfect if only the co-workers bothered to be a little more dilligent.
This is part of why experiencing an actual unmodified impulse can feel so threatening or shameful.
First they would be experienced as unwanted, ego-dystonic, incongruent with the self.
A rabit horndog is not who you are… and certainly not who you want to be.
There is not so much previous experience of thinking ‘I kinda want to do violence to this jerk’, or of having a horny thought… and then not acting on it for a variety of reasons.
So you might fear that if you loosened up you would actually be violent or sexually inappropriate. (which isn’t helped if the only time you cut loose if when you got so much pent up frustration you can’t hold it in anymore, so you overcompensate like a person going on a binge after an overly restrictive diet.)
What this may concretely look like is being extra polite to someone who lowkey irritates you (disowning the “bad”/”unresonable” feeling), or condemning something that you actually find tempting on some level –
Tom Condon described the case of a type 1 friend who liked to collect rocks. One time they came across a cool-looking amethyst geode in a shop window and the friend’s eyes lit up, but then he saw the hefty price tag and at once he started ranting about how ppl these days waste so much money on frivollous impulse buys. (his desire for the rock had conflicted with his value of being thrifty, so a reaction against it was formed.)
Condon then said something like ‘You really want that rock, huh?’
In this case the friend had the self-awareness to admit it, but with some immature 1s (or ppl with strong 1 components), they can get weirdly obsessed with the thing they’re condemning & the lives of people who are doing it. ‘Oh this fetish porn is so horrible!’ ...why do you know so much about it, mate?
(part of it is also that by confronting the “bad” and rejecting it, the sensation of your boundaries holding firm against the outside, you feel your existence, so when you are having self-doubt…
It’s the frustration thing of using “not that!” as orientation.)
This is how you get ppl complaining about people taking breaks, gender non-conformity, childfree couples, divorce, more empathetic rather than strict parenting etc. because how dare those ppl not give up the desires you renouced?
Ppl complaining about divorce have the unhappiest marriages, ppl complaining about the “selfishness” of the childfree are some of the most emotionally distant parents and so on.
Maybe you remember that horrible “marriage requires a mute button” article a while back whre that woman tried to sell you on the idea that every responsible adult must accept that marriage is constantly being irritated at your spouse. (with zero self-awareness of how she described constantly nitpicking, criticizing & failing to show empathy for the husband, & refusing to communicate her wants/needs)
When ppl responded to it saying they actually like their spouses or pointing out that divorce is a thing, she accused them of being naive because A Mature Person(TM) is supposed to make it work and accept that marriage isn’t a cakewalk, damnit.
Reading it you might wonder “why is she torturing herself?” but probably the value of “making a marriage work through realism” is very important to her.
Useful Question: Could it be that this thing bothers you because you kinda want it but think you’re not allowed to have it?
Now for the love of sanity, don’t go torturing yourself by thinking you must secretly want everything that grosses you out. This question is mostly useful to ask when you find yourself disproportionally fixating on something. Being outraged about child labor is probably just because child labor is outrageous, but if it’s a minor lifetime choice thing that won’t kill anyone, it might be worth considering.

The next ‘layer’ of defense, if incongruous desire or anger does leak out in its ‘raw’ form, is to tamp it down asap & deliberately suppress it.
You try not to be angry or desireous.
As gut types experience feelings mostly through body sensations so suppressing them also means counteracting the bodily impulse that comes with them – this is sometimes described as feeling like the rising heat of anger gets stopped at your neck & jaw, like a cork on a champagne bottle, or the relaxing sensation of pleasure is stopped by tightening & straightening the spine & pelvis.
So there can be actual physical tension held in those areas.
This also feeds into the self-judgement, because a suppressed reaction still happened and you still feel it, even if you put a stop to it.
In that sense 1s might be uniquely cursed among the competency types. You’d physically feel the anger or desire & the need to stop it. So someone might beat themselves up for even thinking of getting angry.
Another thing to note is that while this might seem at first like a relatively voluntary/ semi-conscious action, but when some 1s try to deliberately express their feelings more, they sometimes find the habit to clamp it down has become quite automatic.
- an extreme case of this might be ppl raised in very conservative towns who were told to suppress all sexual desire until marriage, but then when they’re finally married they’re too tense to have enjoyable relations.
Unhealthy 1s can get quite dour & joyless cause pleasure is suspect & suppressed.
- though healthier 1s will be able to relax & express feelings when appropiate, but still be able to restrain themselves where this is useful, like if you’re a surgeon or an emergency responder & need to keep your cool & keep doing the task. In that setting “defending” against getting irritated or otherwise emotional is arguably a good thing, at least for the duration of the important work, it allows 1s to be level-headed professionals.
Useful Question: Being patient, disciplined & restrained is often very useful, but are you counterbalancing this with some outlets? (dance, time in nature, and regular vacations seem to be some popular ones with well-adjusted type 1s)

Reparation & undoing

This is sort of a cousin of reaction formation in that it also involves “making up” for a “bad” thought/deep by doing something “good”, but the difference is that in this case, the horses have already left the barn, rather than preventing an incongruent thought or action these are about coping with the aftermath after it has already occurred.
The above constellation (particularly on the less aware/mature side) can easily produce a lot of guilt that then needs to be ‘defended’ against lest it set off the fear of condemnation.
Undoing is to take an opposite action immediately afterwards, which in the person’s mind makes it so the “bad” thought or deed never happened.
For example you thought about blowing up at someone and then acted extra nice to them because you felt bad about it, or you actually did blow up at your spouse but then buy them some flowers to “make it okay”.
In the case of reparation, the bad deed is not quite considered ‘erased’, it still ‘counts’ and there are still feelings of guilt and accountablity, but you made up for it. You’re a changed man.
This is like those people telling you about the wicked life they used to live before they came to jesus, but now they are completely different.
Sometimes making amends or focussing on doing a better job next time is, of course, a constructive way to deal with mistakes. (and 1s for their part also forgive more easily if they see someone’s willing to make amends, have consequences, show they learned something etc.)
There are two ways this can become problematic in less aware individuals, however.
First, when it becomes a compulsion to constantly make up for perceived ‘guilt’.
Cracked and ate a chocolate muffin? Now you must do 20 extra minutes of exercise!
There was an interesting anecdote on a podcast about an 1 woman who got involved with a more ‘wild’ guy, and then immediately chopped off her hair to something more austere looking, like she’d strayed too much to the wild side & needed to correct it.
The guy took it as mixed signals.
The Second is when the person considers their deed ‘made up for’, but others don’t. The wife doesn’t forgive you despite the flowers, because you can’t really erase what happened or the concerns she has with you.
Or the preacher guy who ‘came to Jesus’ expects to be forgiven by everyone now because he “repented and made amends”, “overcome his struggle with temptation” & that was “his old life”.
Another way this may look is someone considering that their spouse & kids shouldn’t bring up past grievances anymore because they apologized and promised to change.
others might well find it hypocritical when someone who has clearly messed up at some point in his life starts talking to you about the Best Way To Do Things and how you should be following their sage advice. They won’t just act as if the past actions never happened.
There is, of course, a strong incentive to believe in an espouse the redemption narative when it feels like the only other alternative is that you are an Irredeemable Bad Person(TM) forever. Trying harder to strive for the perfect world that ought to have been is one’s saving grace – if that doesn’t count, then what does?
So as understandable it is that others might call bull/hypocrisy, there is also a lot of pain behind this which, alas, often only causes the counterproductive patterns to become more rigid.
Someone’s response being “try harder!” (for all that it can be the 1s greatest strength in other contexts) can also make it harder to recognize situations where it would be better to walk away or stop trying to do the impossible.
Useful Question:
On the one hand: Will anything good come out of continuing to be harsh on yourself? Maybe you can forgive and/or accept yourself without feeling like you need to constantly work on “redemption” or “betterment” – especially if the cause of your feeling guilty is just being an imperfect fallible human.
On the other hand, especially if your actions impacted another: Does your idea of what would constitute restituition align with the wronged party?

I just ordered and picked up my Tesla Model Y today and I drove the car off the lot - I didn't do a thorough enough inspection and I missed two things:
1.) Two penny sized tears on the passenger side seat 2.) Spilled coffee on both the passenger side & in the trunk
For the first one, it's a simple fix and not that big of an issue but was wondering if the tesla touchless mobile service would be able to fix it or should I call and ask to repair it at the service center?
For the spilled coffee, I didn't notice the smell because they aired it out prior to handing me the keys. I spent a good 30minutes in the driver seat messing with the setting and stuff prior to driving off but the more I drive the car the stronger the smell becomes... (I'm starting to think that it may have also been spilled on the center console and leaked into the air filter?) So far, I located two areas where the smell is the strongest (the passenger side [seat & carpet below it] and the trunk). Hello! I am a 21F university student, who lives with 4 other female students (this will be important later). Context about the landlord/letting agency. My student letting agency are insane; the house was absolutely filthy and had so many damages when we moved in, we’ve been charged illegal fees, they half ass repairs, were condescending and rude to me when I complained, told me to move out when I raised a complaint, do not communicate with us properly which is coming to bite US in the ass. I’ve complained to the ombudsman regarding a different issue and they were no help. My SU has them on a watch list in case other tenants experience issues, then they’ll remove them from their website.
We reported water leaking from our kitchen light bulb on 09/05. The maintenance guy they always send was supposed to come on the 10th but didn’t, and they emailed one tenant on 11/05 to say he was coming that day to “investigate”. No 24 hr notice, first red flag. 2/5 of us were home to my knowledge and one was busy with online lecture and one was in her room. They did not get the chance to talk to him. So when he left with no message, we assumed it was fine because we reported this exact issue a month before and they “investigated” and we were fine to use lights + shower.
Fast forward to 09/06, where we received an invoice from our letting agency of £55. Now, this isn’t a lot, I can afford to pay the whole thing upfront myself but this invoice said that there was this contractor from X company who unblocked the two showers and two sinks. And because of this, it cost £55. Bare in mind we were not told this at all, we thought it was our usual maintenance guy. It could be our usual maintenance guy, I have no idea. They let some strange guy in our house without us knowing to do a job we did not request, for an excessive fee. My housemate suggested we all pay £11 because they gave us a week to do so, but this is the second time they’re trying to charge us fees that we have no relation to. There was a photo of hair that was unclogged as an attachment.
Now of course being in a house of 5 girls we know there will be hair accumulating in our shower drain, so we have a snake drain thingy and a pipe unblocker liquid thing that we leave next to the shower for the sole purpose of unblocking the drains. We follow our contract and unblock the drain from our hair every few weeks, the snake thing was moved recently so I wouldn’t be surprised if the normal maintenance guy used our equipment and drafted an invoice to try charge us for blocking pipes. But again, this invoice is from another separate company which leads me to believe that they sent a third party to our house without a single one of us knowing, which is not fair at all especially considering we are a full house of girls. I’ve emailed asking when they came, who was sent and why they performed a job we did not request with no communication to us, why an invoice was sent a month after, etc. And reminded them they violated our contract with not providing a proper notice (they did this once before, where they said they’d need to wait a week to patch a hole in my ceiling, but when I came to my room 2 days later, it was patched up). I asked them to help us by preferably putting us into contact with the contractor so we can revise the charge at a fairer price cap.
Please help a girl out, I am going to argue it but if within the week they do not budge (they are stubborn mfs), I will pay it just because I want my deposit back. The invoice may be legal as it is technically the tenants hair and thus tenants fault, but is everything else legal?

My vehicle leaked some oil while parked in my condo’s parking stall. I own the full title to the stall, it is not leased or owned by the condo corporation.
I got a notice from the condo corporation that I need to clean the oil spill or they will levy a fine against me. Since I own that stall how can they force me to clean it or dictate what I do with it? The stain is contained to my stall and is not on any adjacent stall or any common property.
Here is an excerpt from the bylaw they quoted on the notice.
"The following shall further govern the parking on the Project: in regard to parking and operating a Private Motor Vehicle on the Project, in general, Owners SHALL NOT: Park or store any Private Motor Vehicle anywhere on the Project which leaks oil, grease, gasoline or antifreeze or which is, in any other way, offensive or hazardous. If such leak occurs the owner shall clean the leckage as soon as reasonably possible. it not done expeditiously by the Owner the board may do so and charge all costs to the Owner.”

Historically, of course, the rising steam served the most important purpose of providing menacing atmosphere in "Taxi Driver" and other movies set in New York City. But we still see steam rising out of manhole covers in Manhattan all the time. What causes it?
The biggest source of the steam is New York's utility, Consolidated Edison, which still generates enough steam to service over 2,000 customers in Manhattan. Steam heat is used only in tall buildings and manufacturing plants; the equipment necessary to generate steam power is too large and inefficient for small businesses or modest residential dwellings.
When a small leak occurs in a steam pipe, the vapor must go somewhere. Heat rises and looks for a place to escape: Manhole covers are the most likely egress point for steam. Martin Gitten, Con Edison's assistant director for public information, told Imponderables that when a big leak occurs, Con Ed must put tall Cones over manhole covers so that the steam is vented above the level of vehicles. Otherwise, unsuspecting drivers would feel as if they were driving through a large cumulus cloud.
Another source for steam rising out of the streets of New York is excess moisture condensing underground. The excess moisture may emanate from small leaks in city water mains, runoff from heavy rainfall, or least pleasant to contemplate, sewer backups.
Why do these liquids rise up as steam? Because they come in contact with the scalding hot steam equipment below ground.

Background :
i have played AC 1 recently and then played 2 and now playing brotherhood, that would be my first time playing AC 1 but my second time playing 2 and brotherhood, i have been a fan of the series since i was 7 yo but never got the chance to play them cause i never had a console or strong enough pc back then, this is a heads up to know that i'm no valhalla player that started playing ac in 2022.
let's get to why AC mirage is better than AC 1 , first let's take a look at the features of each game
AC 1 Features :
-versatile parkour : i did very much enjoy the parkour in AC1 same as AC 2- Revelations, although the running animation is goofy af (naruto) the parkour animation in themselves were surprisingly good for their game, the game feels great to control and gives alot of freedom to do cool sht.
-counter-based combat : it was alright, not great but not too bad (i prefer the combat in ac2 more), sometimes the combat can be challenging in a good way, other times it can be downright unfair with swarms of guards around you knocking you down and barely giving you time to breath staggering you etc i really dreaded everytime i got into combat but it makes sense cause your an assassin your not meant to get into combat
-Large immersive cities : okay i got to say this, when i first got into the first City you enter i was Blown away, how immersive it felt the people walking , the ambience , the graphics , the crowds and architecture, i was shocked this was a game that came out in 2007 so it was a boost of positivity for me , i didn't care for the rural areas they seem very empty and the moment you enter one you get marked for death by armies so i actively avoided those
- Decent music : now, i like the music but it wasn't anything memorable as AC2-brotherhood-Rev
-immersive assassin roleplaying : it really felt incredible infiltrating the cities, blending in and listening on conversations, gaining intel on targets and going back into hiding after each assassination , Altair is an assassin and he fucking does assassin shit, getting ranked up and getting new weapons becoming deadlier and feeling more badass it felt great i just wish we had more gadgets like AC2
-Focused story : i Really REALLY like how this games story started, but, and that's a big BUTT, my hype slowly but surely dialed down as i started thinking '' there's no way this is exactly how every mission will go right?'' , '' surely we will get a new type of mission right?'' it never happened , the game kept looping the same mission only changing the targets and cities, halfway through the game i was just playing to finish it and was burned out of my mind, the story itself i like but i felt that Altair's progression to becoming a good guy happened too fast, the last fight with almualim was underwhelming and the game ended abruptly. now we are done with AC 1's features (if there's more comment them down below)
ACM Features :
-Fast and responsive parkour system : from the information we have gotten and the leaks and the footage it's evident that the developers aimed from Ease of control, fluidity, momentum based Parkour like in the ezio games, a kind of flow like parkour where you go from one thing to another very fast, only this time it's ever faster '' you'll be able to get from ground level to the rooftops in the blink of an eye'' with Basim getting new dedicated animations slightly similar to AC unity giving it a Unity x Origins vibe, Baghdad is rife with Enviornmental parkour puzzles encouraging parkour fun.
-Hitbox based combat : i hesitate to write about this as this is not the focus of the devs, the game is meant to be purely played with stealth, the takeaways are Basim dies in three hits and if you are surrounded you're fucked, you can't counter kill your way out of this one .
-Large City with immersive atmosphere : Mirage may only have one city but there's no doubt it will be Bigger and more beautiful, alive, and Dense than the cities in AC1 with interactability with the environments such as crashing shopping stalls to trip guards, it will be alive with numerous Districts and vista's outside to explore and bask in .
-Great music : although we haven't heard much music, what we have heard is incredible and i cannot wait to hear more! it gives me origins / revelations vibes /
-Immersive assassin Role-playing : Mirage brings AC 1 back to life, with pure Assassin gameplay infiltrate Baghdad and her numerous districts blending in with people, courtesans, thiefs, Brigands , and the environment, Visit the assassin hideouts gain intel on the Target, Pickpocket eavesdrop on conversations locate and assassinate in Blackbox mission style that isn't available in AC 1, report back and Gain a new rank and new gadgets to become a more deadly assassin.
-Focused story : the story of AC mirage will be focused, the conflict between the hidden one's and the Order of the Ancients is the main center piece of the adventure, a storm brewing in the nights and days of Baghdad while the citizens go about their daily lives the Hidden ones and order of the ancients play Chess for Baghdad
AC 1 gameplay LOOP :
- Leave masyaf > infiltrate City > find bureau > learn of target > gain intel in various ways on target > assassinate target > report back to bureau > go to masyaf to inform AL-Mualim to gain a new rank and new weapon, Rinse and repeat maybe do some civilian saving here and there that's it , feel free to prove me wrong in the comments
AC M gameplay LOOP :
- Leave alamut > infiltrate baghdad > find bureau > Learn of target > gain intel in various ways on target > assassinate target with much more freedom to choose how (Blackbox) > report back to bureau > Report back to Roshan in alamut to gain a new rank and new weapon, only this time there's alot more to do like outside of the city walls exploration, IN-City walls exploration, Camel races, assassination contracts , stories of baghdad , extra DLC mission and god know what else we will be able to do, much more content than how empty ac 1 felt, again feel free to prove me wrong.
CONCLUSION :

For one, its just simply not very distracting and has been going on for decades. The vast majority of the population don’t give a shit and laugh it off and move on. I have never heard anyone in real life discuss UFOs in the news. Not once. We are already distracted by social media, entertainment/movies, sports, video games, politics, etc.
Most mainstream outlets don’t even air any of it. You get a small story here and there, but that’s it. The interest is very low. Right now, it seems primarily only Fox News airing anything of merit in regards to UFOS and the recent whistleblower. The rest is just that Las Vegas story which is very similar to every other UFO sighting that local news channels may air here and there and move on.
I feel like if this whistleblower and the corroborating claims that came out this morning from other sources were in reference to any other mainstream conspiracy, COVID/Big Pharma, moon landing, JFK, 9/11 etc, this sub would be all over it.
Not saying it’s definitely aliens, but I think there is definitely something to it. It’s just been going on for so many decades with leaks, videos, military personnel and government official testimonies, with some jeopardizing their careers and livelihood. And none of it has been very distracting. I don’t think it’s a manufactured distraction nor is it simply nothing.

On May 1st, I woke up and found that the dining room of my apartment had a hole in the ceiling. Appeared to be from storms and a roof leak, many personal items were covered in debris but fortunately, no damage other than a 2'x3' hole in the ceiling. Sent in a work order and went by the office. When I came home, the debris was cleared by the workers and I was just waiting for a board or a patch to temp fix the hole or a permanent fix.
A day later, I had a work order on my door saying I didn’t answer, so I informed the office that they had permission to enter to fix(the work order said the same but they either misread or skipped that line).
After a week of no fixes or contact, I sent in another work order attaching photos as well.
The next week I went back to the office and was told they’ll get someone one it.
The next week I called emergency maintenance and they said to go to the office.
The next week I went back by the office.
It’s now been nearly 6 weeks. I don’t know what to do. I didn’t want to leave as the apartment overall has been great and is close to work and recreation I do. But I cannot even get someone to call me back. I sent another work order in but the office is already closed. My apartment is 85 degrees with the air running on full because it’s been zapped out of the gaping hole that leads to the roof(2nd/top floor is me)
I’ve been stressing on the work orders and voicemails that my apartment is not secure. I do not have a domicile providing me protection from the elements or animals, as the hole leads to the roof that may or may not still have a hole in that was leaking.
I have no damages to my property but next months energy bill is going to be insane.
Any advice on what to say, how to say it, what to do would be helpful. Many things on this vary lease to lease, but my lease is with a large apartment complex of over 100 Units.

Well, as the title suggests, I'm soon going to be out of some money. My mechanic let me know that the power steering rack needs to be replaced, and the transmission has a major leak. I totally trust him, but I don't know how I managed to cause so much damage to my car- I don't really drive it that much. I did notice a small leak around Easter, I was too busy to bring it in, but I did make a conscious effort not to drive it for April or May. I did drive it for short 10 -15 minute trips to the store a few times and wondered if that is what ultimately killed it or if I must have done something beforehand- I just want to know so I don't do it again.
