Hey everybody! I bought a triple set of the branded structure deck not too long ago and decided I want to make some budget upgrades. I've included my hypothetical list (based on budget builds I've been looking into) along with some reasoning for the slightly less obvious choices and a general gameplan. Test hands and playing against comps online (don't have the combos down enough to play a real opponent) have been working out pretty well so far but I'd love some feedback on how I could improve the deck before I put the money in!
MAIN DECK
monsters: 3x aluber 2x despia tragedy 1x ad libitum (for that cool play with branded in red and mirrorjade when I can pull it off) 1x dramaturge 3x albaz 1x mercourier 1x albion 1x of the three one of tearlaments (scheiren, havnis and Merrill) saw this in another branded budget list and loved the idea, I haven't had any problems with it and they've worked out quite well when I'm missing a way to fuse 2x edge imp 2x bystial saronir (can't afford lubellion and it has cool situational options like banishing the mercourier or getting retribution in grave for the Ra's disciple play) 1x ra's disciple (my primary going first strategy, the light attribute makes it a bit weird but I love that it can't be tributed and it doesn't have the same potential downsides as idol, also don't wanna pay for gimmick puppet but from my understanding that's the superior choice?) 1x dark magician (for dragoon, which I was lucky enough to pull) 3x effect Veiler (could switch out my ash set from another deck but I figured the veilers from the structure will do)
spells: 3x branded fusion 3x branded opening 1x branded in red (I've seen a lot of decks at two but I've never felt myself missing the extra one and I already have one copy) 1x branded lost 1x despia theater (seems to be a common choice in budget branded) 3x allure of darkness (works well with edge imp and tragedy, or anything else that doesn't happen to fit the play I'm going for) 1x gold sarcophagus 1x foolish burial (extra good since it works well with the tearalements or for getting ra's disciple to the gy in a pinch) 2x fusion deployment (I've seen some people say this is not worth running without Cartesia but I find it helps me get to my DM sometimes or to albaz for a potential contact fuse going second 2x polymerization 1x super poly (considering cutting this but it hasn't hurt me yet and I can't help feeling il miss it if it's gone) 1x called by the grave
Traps: 1x branded retribution 1x branded expulsion (how ra's disciple gets summoned to my opp's field. I either get it through retribution using saronir and (main deck) Albion or through sending (extra deck) Albion off mirror Jade's effect to set on end phase) 1x branded banishment (another card I'm considering cutting but I'm not quite sure)
EXTRA DECK
2x Albion the branded 2x lubellion the searing 2x mirrorjade 2x masquerade (if I can't get ra's disciple out, two masquerades and any combination of mirrorjade, dragoon and dramaturge tends to be my backup) 1x rindbrumm (I can't help feeling like I'm not using this guy as much as I should but I'm not sure what the best play with him is without the non-budget cards) 1x sprind the irondash (I feel like this could be useful but I also don't know what I would replace this with if I took it out, would brigand be better?) 1x guardian chimera (thank god it got reprinted) 1x starving venom (considered cutting this too but not sure what I'd replace it with) 1x dragoon 1x dragostapelia 1x quaeritis (has been surprisingly useful as a fusion target and to close out games)
That's the decklist at 50 cards, my gameplan is generally to go for the ra's disciple play (through one of the two ways I have available in the deck depending on what works with the hand) but the double masquerade + as many interuptions as I can make seems solid too. I don't always get dragoon out turn one but since this deck can grind fairly well it ends up making an appearance eventually most of the time!
Open to any and all suggestions and comments except for "buy Cartesia it's worth it". Totally get the reasoning and I know it's worth it but it's just not an amount im willing to spend on a single card rn 😅

I got into the pc world once i got a little money. But i started with a Build Redux Pc. Ive heard things and honestly from my own report Its not bad. Nvidia rtx 3070 8gb i7 10700k 32 gb of ram Multiple sds and 2 nvme equally roughly 10tb, with one being 1tb nvme.2 (to boot up my computer, shit is fast.) 850 +80 gold enermax psu. Cooler master tl500 mesh cast (has redux brand, you know how these companies are..) [Not so sure about motherboard, but ill add it if i can once i find out what it is.]
Its pretty good, very quiet. Ive mostly just put more memory into my rig for the past couple of years but now i had finally decided to get a new gpu. Not team green, just too expensive. So i went w team red and got a Saphire AMD radeon 7900 xtx nitro+ 24 gb. This the question: some of you are high level pc builders, so w all the information ive provided, is there anything else i should get ALONG w my new GPU in mind? Anything i should keep an eye out for? My psu is fully modular and everything, but I wonder if there are other things i should look out for? Maybe get a new psu anyway? Upgrade my cpu along w my gpu? Im just wondering w this new xtx in my mind will my pc handle it well and want some your guys honest opinions.

I've always been a high achiever and I went to top schools for both my undergrad and master's.
There was a dream company I wanted to work at, it's not quite FAANG but it's a very recognisable tech company and only has one main competitor. I got in only a year ago after 4 years of experience at a previous role.
I got laid off this month and I feel devastated. I'm an immigrant, live alone and I loved the work environment there. I got to work with people all over the world, and it had a real R&D mindset. I was working on niche areas of computer graphics and compilers in C++. I went to school for this and worked really hard to get in and now it's all gone.
I'm in Canada and there's not many opportunities out there for this sort of thing. It's only well recognised tech brands that seem to have them and none of them are hiring much right now and the few roles that exist are super competitive and want more years of experience.
They didn't have to do this layoff for my role, there were some really poor decisions at the executive level and a lot of corruption/ insider trading reasons for this. Now after the layoff they are apparently going back to the original roadmaps engineers wanted. I was a solid contributor and well liked by my team and managers and they had no idea I'd get laid off.
I can't get anything and my job was the one thing I felt I had succeeded at. I don't want to be doing something else and I don't want to go back to doing other jobs like I did in college.
If I can't get anything and run out of cash, I think I wouldn't mind suicide, not many people would even miss me and that way at least overall my life would have been a good one and I could skip the bad parts.

Stats and miscellaneous:
- This event had 2359 players, with 12 rounds of Swiss cutting to top 64.
- This is the second premier event with Cyberstorm Access legal, the first being YCS Santiago Chile held last week that nobody talked about.
- 26 out of 64 players in top cut were playing Kashtira, giving it a 40.6% top cut presentation and solidifying it again as the format's best deck.
- Despite Purrley and Superheavy Samurai's success in regional levels, both decks had a lower than expected top cut presentation. Superheavy Samurai had 12 decks in top 64 while Purrley only had 4.
- This is the first premier win for Denis Nadas, who previously got 2nd place in YCS Chicago 2019 where he lost to Raphael Neven playing Lunalights. Fun fact Calvin Tahan who got third in YCS Chicago also lost to Denis in top 4.
- Hunter Lloyd piloted a Branded Labrynth deck and made it to top 8 where he unfortunately lost to Kashtira.
- Nicholas Scarangella played Tearlaments and made top 16 where he ironically lost to Jesse Kotton playing Kashtira.
- Dinomorphia played by Isaac Kritz made top 16 which I believe is the deck's best premier result since its release.

I have a Savoy Home branded remote control ceiling fan. I don't have good access to the fan shroud to replace anything, so I'm considering buying a second remote and wiring to individual buttons to a Shelly relay and just hiding it in a closet.
I'm not sure what protocol Savoy uses (rolling codes maybe?) And I can't find a way to control it natively
Anyway I may do that same with my garage door. Even though it's a lift master and has a hub available, this seems easier
If it helps I'm currently just using Google Home but I just bought a hubitat

My absolute biggest requirement is that the keyboard be quality. If possible, I would like a similarly comfortable typing experience that I would get with a wired keyboard. I'm trying to cut down on clutter and increase portability in my work-life balance. Bonus points if there's something out there I don't know about offering low profile mechanical switches in their laptop keyboards.
Aside from that though, I'm just looking for suggestions. I'm a transcriber professionally and I play digital card games (Hearthstone, Runeterra, Master Duel) so no big FPS requirements or fancy GPUs. Good battery life is a plus. A big screen too, but I'm flexible with standard sizes.

What's up Master Chiefs,
A few years ago, when I lived in my old apartment, I took out the trash and saw what looked like an Xbox sitting behind a dumpster from the corner of my eye. I will never forget what the silhouette of that box looks like. Sure enough, it was an Xbox and a wired name brand controller. I took it home out of curiosity, cleaned it up, ordered the cables and adapter, and a few days later booted it up. Seems 100% legit in working condition, even has a bunch of save files from the original owner.
Anyway, it's been sitting in a cardboard box for about four years now, and I have yet to use it. Something tells me it'd be better off with one of you guys. Just reimburse me for shipping and we're good to go.

These seem like the 2 most popular retro formats. Really curious to see why people prefer one over the other.
Context: I mostly stick to Master Duel to scratch my itch to duel. But the ishizu tearlaments really have made it unfun for me, and getting a look at what’s going on in the TCG doesn’t exactly give me hope for the future. So I’ve been practicing a bit of Goat and Edison.
