I told myself last year that if things weren’t better by this time next year, I was going to end my life. I think it’s time now; I feel so ready. I feel so bad for what this is gonna to do my mother, but I just can’t do this anymore. I know my life could be a lot worse but I think that I’m genuinely some kind of failed experiment of Gods creation. I have been sexually abused from the age of two years old, by several different people in my life. The last time I was assaulted was last year. I’ve been physically, verbally, and emotionally abused by several different people too. My therapist says that I have hyper empathy and I’m open with others and bad people see that and use it to their advantage. I have been in and out of hospitals and therapists since I was ten years old. I’m currently diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar 1, Borderline Personality Disorder, C-PTSD, a few more ‘minor’ things (eating disorders and anxiety issues. I’m a recovering drug addict as well (I’ve been sober for a while now). I’m mentally in hell all day every day. My brain hates me, my body hates me. I am also disabled. I have a connective tissue disorder and issues with all of my bones. I am in severe chronic pain and surgeries have only given me nerve damage and more pain. My home life is so genuinely stressful that I’ve been getting stress induced psychosis every few months for the last three years. I don’t get a break. I take care of a child that’s not mine, I clean and I cook and I work. Nothing I do is enough and any attempt to take a break or to slow down so I can care for myself is met with verbal abuse. I’m not enough for anyone here. No one is here for me. My mom tells me that I’m the person that is meant to be a blessing to other people, that I’m a great listener and always know what to say to make things better. I wish someone would listen to me, that someone would say anything to try and make things better for me. The love of my life left me in April, the only who understand my pain is gone. I didn’t see it coming, literally an hour before he left me he told me that he loved me more than anything. He was my rock and I’m just floating away now. I am so so tired. I’ve been so tired. There are so many things I love about life, there are so so many people I love that I don’t want to leave. But I’m so tired and I’ve tried doing everything to make this better and it doesn’t get better. It never gets better. I have some people I want to see first, some things I want to experience first. My birthday is a couple days and I’m in my bedroom looking up parking garages that would be high enough to jump from that would definitely end me. I can’t see myself being here anymore. I’m gonna sort some stuff out, say all of the things I need to say, get together money for my funeral and cremation and then I’ll be gone. I hope there isn’t life after this one.

lil mans finished the lava temple, and after interacting with the final object, and triggering the reward cutscene, he ends up in a stand still. his controller gets locked up, and even keyboard movement is disabled. hes sat outside of the temple, unable to even save his game.
anyone have this issue/have a fix to the problem? cant figure it out.

I was using an iPhone 11 iOS 16.5. It is too big. I took my prepaid Verizon SIM out and put it in my SE 2016 iOS 15.7.6. Everything works great. Except message sync to my iPad iPadOS 16.5. When I deleted a message from the iPad it would delete from the SE. when I delete from the SE it does not delete from the iPad. I have disabled/enabled iMessage. I received an error that my iCloud and iMessage accounts are different on the iPad. They are identical. I signed out on both devices and signed back in. I received the same error in the iPhone this time. When I took the SIM out of the SE and put it back in the 11 everything works correctly. Is it an issue between iOS versions? Do I need to involve Verizon? Each phone was on the Verizon network. Is it somelse?

I’m not a horror fan at all because my mental state is very easily influenced by dark stuff, but my brain often makes up for it at night by giving me the freshest psychological horror that could be conjured. Usually it’s not movie quality since it’s so personal to me, but last night’s dream was so vivid and realistic I feel like it could at least make a short film.
It began in my old room at my parents’ house with me showing a friend some objects under my bed because I felt some were haunted. The ones closest to me were “safe” but the ones closer to the wall were untouchable because I knew they carried dark spirits. I was hoping she could help me “cleanse” the objects so my room would be safe again. While doing this, I mentioned that I sometimes feel a presence within the air vent under the bed. At that moment, we both looked towards the vent, and lo and behold, there was a pale white, blank face with huge beady eyes staring from around the corner within the shaft. It looked similar to that momo statue that circulated the Internet a bit, but it lacked the menacing smile and just had a blank expression.
We both immediately ran out of the room while the “thing” pulled off the vent grate and followed. We ran downstairs to my dad with the thing hot on our tails. The vent person watched as we frantically pointed it out to my dad, but he literally couldn’t see it. Another vent person suddenly crawled up from the vent in my dad’s office and we were chased out of the room again. We spent some time frantically running and hiding from these creatures while my dad tried to figure out what was going on.
In the dream, my parents had a home security system with cameras in the main areas of the house, even though they don’t in real life. My dad eventually came to me with his iPad to check the footage and prove there was nothing chasing us. When he pulled it up, the vent people appeared, but their appearance was completely distorted. Their heads were floating off their bodies and “glitching” like shitty 3D computer models while their bodies were distorted blobs that moved along under them.
At this point, I woke up full of adrenaline and still hyperventilating, which I always do when I have nightmares. It’s not a lot to work with but I think it would be a cool concept for a psychological thriller.

I figured I would make this post here because this sub is fairly active, and I wanted to bring to attention that there is a way to disable internal FXAA with exefs mods for TotK 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 instead of the romfs mods that modify the Bootup.Nin_NX_NVN.pack.zs file. Discussion can be found at this link here.
Why would you want to use this version over the others? Well, I'm always checking out new mods and I've noticed that more and more modders are making changes to the file mentioned above, causing them to either make multiple versions merging the disable FXAA part or straight out saying do not use it with other mods that conflict (such as the fog modifying mods). I'm not sure why the various mod packs are not including the exefs versions as they work identically to the romfs versions and do not conflict with other mods that edit the same file. I'm using the FXAA exefs mods with all the other graphics mods including Serfrost's Defogger without issue.
All credit for the mod go to InfiniteParallel who created them. If someone talented enough could figure out a way to make versions for 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 that would be great. Do note that the original "Disable FXAA" exefs mods that were floating around before do not work, but I have personally verified that these ones do. The difference between FXAA on or off is almost negligible, but it's there. The download links includes both versions in a single package.

Whats up guys, i have a problem that i hope someone on here can help me with.. Recently i decided to finally upgrade and build a pc after 10+ years of gaming on console. I was excited to get the full gaming experience and be able to play games not available on console. I was definitely happy with the transition until a few weeks ago. For the first few days, everything was great. I was enjoying my time on my new setup and getting adjusted to mouse and keyboard. I never really noticed any sort of issues while playing. That was until about a week or two after getting my set up, i notices that the games were really choppy. I especially noticed it got worse as i ADS'ed. and this happened to pretty much every game i would play. At first i thought it might have been my wireless rzr mouse that was low on battery that was causing this. Changed the batter inside the mouse and no luck. Figured maybe it was my connection (ethernet), but when i tested my connection speed on windows 11 it said 1000/1000mbs. Ontop of that i play in the same room with my girlfriend who is playing on a ps5 through wifi and her game runs way smoother than mine. So i started to do my research and was overwhelmed to find the million different things that could be causing this. So as a newbie, i started trying all the tips and tricks i could. I tried disabling my "RegEditor". I tried lowering resolution on each of my games. I tried disabling as much as i could on start ups. Ive turned on Gaming Mode. No luck whatsoever. I even tried running Fortnite while monitoring my cpu usage which maxed out to 43% (which is average from what i have read online). I honestly dont know where to start diagnosing this issue. I spent well over 2.5K on this set up just for my games to not run right. I dont know what to do and im honestly regretting my decision on getting a PC. I feel like this is way too much to deal with for just wanting to game lol but if someone could please give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated. Im sorry if im incompetence is frustrating to some of you PC gurus, but im need of help!

the predicament:
i have been struggling w/ heat off my X1E G5 (w/ i7-12700H CPU) ever since i bought it. especially when connected to A/C power, i found that it is running at turbo clock speeds even when idling. fans whirring away constantly - absolute madness IMHO. i confess, i tolerate noise very badly in general.
it is my daily driver for work, which consists mostly of sysadmin stuff, shell scripting and the like. i did not buy it for power, but b/c i wanted a large enough screen in as thin and light a form factor as possible. and the trackpoint is a must for me. this machine, btw has one of the best trackpoints i ever used, ever. X1E Gen3 is rubbish in comparison, i used X1 Yoga Gen2 a while back, it was not great either. the T450s/T440 were only ok. The X1E Gen5 has a really, really good trackpoint.
w/ that said, the g5 is NOT a thin and light machine by any stretch of the imagination. it is a P1 re-badged and it is not worthy of the X1 brand. and just for context, the X1E Gen3 (w/ i7-10850H CPU) is a thin, light and freezing cold machine compared to the Gen5.
i also made the mistake of buying it w/ an i7 CPU (it was on sale), which i regretted almost immediately.
half measures:
so since the only effective way of making the CPU run cooler - undervolting - is not an option (wtf???), i resorted to disabling turbo boost, which improved things only mildly with painful disadvantages: it was still idling at 2.3+ GHz, which is unacceptable, but obviously would not boost when there was actual need.
i also installed TPFanControl (https://github.com/nikolasgd/TPFanControl-dual-fan), which helped w/ the fans running constantly, but could not fix the actual issue of poor design: a hot running CPU that would not throttle properly paired with a heat-sink that was not up to the job.
i also turned on battery saver for all the time - this actually worked great when running off battery, but did nothing for me when on A/C power.
so i was thinking of selling this pile of mess (i have other major annoyances w/ this machine as well) and returning to the Gen 3 (luckily i still have it lying around).
the actual 'solution':
then, in my desperation and started toying w/ the idea of reducing the number of CPU cores, of which this beast has 20, physical + logical totaled.
first i disabled the efficiency cores. this did not make much of a difference on its own, but paired w/ disabling turbo boost, it did bring temperatures down - and fans were on less frequently.
then i thought to hell w/ performance, i'll disable hyperthreading as well. and to my greatest surprise, things started to fall into place. the damned thing started throttling to around 1.3 GHz while idling. and it hovers around 1.6 - 1.9 GHz when doing light work, like running RDP ovre VPN and participating in Zoom/Teams/Meet video conferences.. woohoo!! my laptop was running around 65-70 C w/ the fan only occasionally kicking in.
so i got bold and re-enabled the efficiency cores AND turbo boost - and lo and behold, it is still throttling like when it is on Battery power. my fans are actually stopped most of the time, but the CPU spins to 4+ GHz when needed. happy days.
conclusion:
since i really don't use this laptop for power, but for its keyboard (pretty good), the 16" display (damned good) and the trackpoint (actually great), the cost of performance loss is minimal, while fan noise is literally eliminated (if i let the machine run at a constant 80 C, the fans almost never kick in) all the while, if i am running something that requires teeth, i do have turbo boost and away we go - actually and figuratively...
definitely not for everyone, but i imagine i am not the only one happy w/ such a compromise.

I play on PC, and I use a joystick to play other games IE Street Fighter 6. But when I start up Diablo 4 with my stick plugged in, the game defaults to controller settings and the only way to get back to keyboard controls is by unplugging my stick. Is there a way to completely disable controller input or detection in the Diablo 4 settings or bnet itself??

My husband and I are long time supporters of Summer Nights. We walk there with our chairs, enjoy the music, drinks and company of friends, and walk home. We recommended the event to friends, family and clientele. We worked the beer vendor tents with his previous firm before he went out on his own. (After going into business for himself, we couldn't get enough people together to run a beer tent ourselves, or we definitely would have.) During Covid when the event was cancelled for the year, we really missed the event, but supported their decision. At one point, my husband inquired about joining the board, as he has a skillset and outside perspective (he is an immigrant) that he believed would benefit the organization and event. He was denied, but told that he could best benefit the organization by becoming a full financial sponsor. We couldn't afford to do so, unfortunately, but continued to enjoy and promote the weekly event.
Now this season, they decided to change their bag policy. I totally get it, but it seems they have forgotten a few details. There are no exceptions for medical equipment, or diaper bags. The no outside food policy did not accommodate families or people with special needs. I was not the only person who pointed this out to them via comments on their Facebook post, but I was pretty vocal.
Before I get into it, please don't misunderstand me. I believe everyone should be able to enjoy the event. I don't care if you are homeless or live in a mansion. Your race is not important. Bring your children if you want. Have a disability? Welcome! LGBTQ+? Enjoy! Drink if you want, I don't care. Just don't break the rules, and don't cause problems for other people.
Last week we watched as a group of people who appeared to be homeless pushed in a baby stroller full of alcohol, yet minus a baby right in. Security stood around and chatted to the group, but their booze and booze transport system was allowed to stay. It wasn't long before we were approached by the people asking us for "beer money." We weren't the only ones who were asked. My husband told security, and was told that they would take care of it. We watched as security resumed standing there, and the beer money beggars asked other people for money. Ok.
Yesterday evening, we watched as some people came in with backpacks, and others were turned away with small purses. I took a few photos, and posted them in the comments of Summer Night's post about how bags and backpacks weren't being allowed in. I was promptly blocked from the page, as well as my husband. Ok.
Then, two members of staff approached me as I was sitting there with my infant grandchild. Beers in hands, they yelled at me. "Why the hell are you here if you hate it so much?" Two men had to yell at a middle aged woman holding an infant. Impressive. I guess even with a baby in my lap, I'm so I must be super intimidating. I could hardly get a word in edgewise to explain that I was happy to follow whatever rules they had, but thought it needed to be enforced consistently and universally. My husband of course came to my defense, as he's not about to let two men shout me down in such a threatening way. My husband asked a pointed question, "It looks like you are trying to exclude a specific part of the population. Is that true?" The answer: "Yes, we are." They shouted my husband down, saying that we were pieces of shit because "you don't bother doing anything for the community! We do all of this on a volunteer basis. I don't see you doing this!" He actually doesn't have a clue what do. We just don't brag about things we do, or charities we contribute to, because to us, that defeats the purpose. But yeah, he's such a hero because he gets drunk for free on Thursday nights. In the middle of all of this I was pointing out all of the bags and backpacks that didn't comply to the new rules. The smaller guy just shrugged his shoulders. The bigger, balder, louder guy at one point yelled at both of us because "All you have to do is tell one of us, and we will take care of it, but you haven't bothered to do that, have you? Just have to be a keyboard warrior!" I immediately pointed out a large backpack. "There's one now! What are you going to do about it?" He said, "We don't have to do anything if we don't want to!" My husband asked him, "Is that because they're white?" He replied, "Oh we can handle the white people!" OOOOOHHHHHHH OK THEN. Gotcha.
The two goons finally left us alone. They did not tell us to leave, so we stayed. We had my husband's daughter, her husband and children from overseas visiting, and we just wanted to enjoy their company.
When I used the restroom and came back in, I was waiting at the gate to get a squirt of hand sanitizer behind a group of white, older ladies as they got their IDs checked. The gate staff was telling the ladies that their purses were too big to allow in, so NEXT TIME they wouldn't be allowed to bring them in. Today, I see comments on Facebook that other people were not allowed to bring their bags in at all, and had to go back to the car. No surprise that the people who were turned away were not white.
I can't support this anymore. You won't see my ass downtown on Thursday nights in the summer.

I'll be vacationing in Europe for 3 weeks, but will want to have access for smaller tasks to stay in light communication with my office. (Outlook, Hubspot, Microsoft Office), Essentially lighter tasks will be done, and I won't need to download any programs outside of what the rog ally should come with. I have enough devices i'm bringing already I really don't want to lug my huge Dell laptop with everything else (macbook, Ipad)
Two questions:

1. One, does this device seem capable of work functions that really only require communication and not heavy computing? (slack, outlook, hubspot, microsoft word)
2. If this would work, could I use a macbook air (M1) or my ipad air (with an adapter) as an external monitor for it? I already have a foldable bluetooh keyboard as well as the apple magic keyboard, so I'd be set in that regard. I just wonder if I needed 30 min on a "screen" thats not 7 inches could that work haha

I’m on the developer beta right now and so far everything is great, I’ve been really happy with it except for one issue.
My M2 Ipad pro loses connection to the keyboard pretty frequently. I’ll be mid sentence and all of a sudden it’s no longer recognizing my keyboard inputs. The icon will continue to blink where it stopped as well. It’s not a total disconnect though because I can navigate my cursor where I want to start again with the keyboards trackpad and I’ll click the trackpad to select that location and then it allows me to type again.
Anyone else experience this? I’ve already submitted feedback but i’m wondering if anyone has a fix. I know it’s beta and these things are to be expected.
