TL/DR: Should this FPV beginner be choosing differently?
Thanks for having me. I am hoping you can share some of your experience and wisdom to help me get off the ground in FPV. I’ve been flying camera drones for some time, and I have found that I keep gravitating to FPV-style video shooting. As I began to research FPV flying, I realize that my main goal is cinematic flying, with some lesser degree of freestyle and exploration flying, like with abandoned places. (At this time I don’t really have interest in racing.) That said, I would like to avoid gear purchases which would be limiting or restrictive where possible in that they would require repurchasing gear later on.
I realize that everything comes with tradeoffs - weight, maneuverability, battery life, latency, cost etc., but my priorities are: -Video quality: resolution, frame rate options, dynamic range, and goggle view being as lifelike as possible -ability to fly sub-250g to skip registration - mainly to avoid RID Karens, I’m not one of those people who draws negative attention to the hobby. I do have my part 107 cert., and I know that part 107 flights still require RID regardless of weight starting in September, but most of my flying is recreational and so I would prefer to not deal with RID as much as possible. -durability (as a new flyer, I need some crash resistance. I’m planning to fly exclusively in sims to start with, but we know crashes WILL happen). -Range and battery life: for landscapes and scenery shooting this seems evident.
While I am not in a position where money is no object, startup cost is not as important as gear that I can grow with.
So after doing a lot of reading, a lot of YouTube watching (Josh Bardwell, Nick Burns, Ivan Efimov, etc.), I am leaning toward the following component technologies and gear:
-ELRS Tx/Rx for controlling the quad. Leaning toward the Radiomaster TX16S MkII with built-in ELRS. -DJI O3 air unit for video transmission, Goggles 2 for viewing (again, video is a huge priority). -For the quads, I definitely understand that one quad can’t be all things, so I am looking at flying a couple of different styles. I am thinking of going with a whoop-style quad with its ducted props to help flying “through stuff” (like between tree trunks, through windows and gaps and near action sports participants that are in on the shooting), as well as a micro long-range quad for flying “over stuff” like lakes, trees, mountain ridges, along creeks etc.). Later on I may look at 5” Freestyle quad depending on where my skills take me?
Hopefully this doesn’t all sound too presumptive but I have been obsessed with learning about FPV and starting to fly FPV once I got an idea of how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I really want to get started with quads that will meet my divergent needs — and am definitely interested in eventually building my own quads — but to get started and gain some stick time and figure out my likes and dislikes, I am thinking it would be best to start with BNF quads.
The sub-250g quads I am focusing on to start are:

I am in the US. I am currently under my parents' health insurance plan but that will no longer be available soon. I do not have a typical, corporate job that provides insurance. I have recently been diagnosed with a serious medical condition that will likely result in lots of high medical bills (possibly 100's of thousands $$). What are my best options for private plans? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

At work, we have this mulatto woman (we'll call her Shelly) who was impregnated within the past few months. Shelly has a black mother and a white father, and she has rather light skin and greenish eyes. I have always found her attractive, but I never asked her out. A few years ago, she announced that she was engaged to a white man from the United Kingdom, so my window of opportunity to pursue a relationship had sadly closed.
Anyway, Shelly has been getting larger and larger as time passes, and we happened to be at the coffee machine at the same time Friday at work. We exchanged pleasantries, and I began to pour myself a tall cup of hazelnut light roast. Shelly was waiting behind me for the machine, and before I walked away, I asked her "Do you happen to know what eyes your child will have? I notice that your white father conferred green eyes to you." I was simply trying to make conversation, but Shelly sort of gasped and recoiled and then walked away with a disgusted look on her face. I didn't think much of it because she has been suffering from pretty repulsive morning sickness lately at work, so I figured she just needed to heave in the lavatory.
However, a little bit later on, as I was composing an email, I noticed that my supervisor was attempting to get my attention. I removed my earbuds and was asked to speak in private in a vacant office. Boy, did I get an earful! My boss told me that I had made Shelly extremely uncomfortable with my small talk and that she had reported me to HR. Needless to say, I was shocked to hear this. I tried to give my side of the story, telling my boss that I had long been an amateur geneticist and that things like eye color and hair color were fascinating to me, particularly in mixed-race populations, but my boss didn't seem to want to hear it.
To make matters worse, I suspect that Shelly repeated what I had told her to my colleagues because folks seem to be avoiding me, even in situations where it's almost expected to be social, like at the water cooler or the copier. I feel like I am being unfairly vilified for taking an interest in a colleague's developing fetus, and I don't think my hobby should be a source of consternation. I also wonder if my supervisor and Shelly both being female and me being male could be a source of workplace discrimination. I just wish that people would be willing to hear my side of the story instead of ganging up on me and stereotyping me as some sort of freak. I'm wondering if things will blow over at work tomorrow, and if not, what I kind do to rectify this situation. Any advice is appreciated. AITA?

the procedure is painful but the result is worth it. it begins in a complete decomposition of the precomposed bone structure of the lower part of your leg. Bones are broken at specific points to mimic those of the canine variety, feet then get molded into the desired shape. After months of labourous care the shape of the paw takes form. Allthough its form is grotesque and fleshy, the plastic surgion can take care of it. Using the technology of skin grafts you can easily graft animal fur on your own bare flesh. The body will likely reject the transplant as there is so much of it that has to be replaced. You will have to take anti rejection medication for the rest of your life. The pain is indescribable.

I 13f is mixed. my mom is African and my dad is American. I live and go to school in a place where it is half white half Hispanic and a handful of blacks. due to this, I have had many racist encounters with people. And many people I meet are ignorant. Now it is important to note that I have two other siblings 8m brother and 15f sister. Me and my brother are both dark like we could not be mistaken for white unless they are blind. My sister on the other have is white as a ghost and her hair is less curly than ours. also, she dyed it blonde. When we go out walking we look like two families my mom me and my brother, and my dad and my sister as another one.
So my sister has a friend named J. J is very racist; he calls me a monkey and the n-word. He has even physically grabbed me before. Due to those reasons, I stopped hanging out with J. I told my mom what he did to me, and she said she would handle it but never did. Well, a couple of months ago, some dude at school called me a monkey. I told my mom before I told anyone else. And my mom was very upset. And I told her I would deal with it; it was not my first racial rodeo. So things were settled. The guy apologized and got two days ISS (in-school suspension).
Another thing to note about my sister is that she has anger issues, and things always go her way. I mean, she has punched three holes in the wall. She hit my dad. She had her boyfriend give her a phone when she got hers taken away. She was with this really bad guy (call him C). C did not like J, so he threatened to beat him up. And my sister told J to go k**l himself. Now, this was not the first time this happened; she always told others to do it too, but that is not relevant to the story. Anyway, she all of a sudden started caring about the racist stuff J has said. And did not get why she started caring, as she did not before.
My sister's best friend is a Brazilian girl; let's call her G. She moved from Brazil to America a while ago. They are also white in color. Yet they still say things like whitey boy and stuff like that. She also has a sister, 13; her name is R. My sisters R, G, and J went over to J's house to hang out and do homework. But they said the J was shutting them down. So j's mom asked them to leave. A couple of days later, we all went to J's house to talk about it. So J's mom was scared that my sister's ex-boyfriend was going to show up and beat up J. So after we all talked that out, J's mom wanted nothing left unsaid, so I took the time to confront him about what he said to me. J said that he had changed and realized that what he said was wrong, and he wouldn't ever say it again. Now, this was not the first time he apologized; like I said he had done it multiple times.
A couple of days later, we are hanging out at our church to watch a movie. We were going to other people's houses to eat food. As we are sitting down to eat, I hear R laughing. I turn to see her phone, and R looks at J and says, " I can't believe you said that," while still laughing. I grab her phone, and it reads
" R: stop acting like a monkey !"
"J: Well at least I'm not a (N-word)"
I was infuriated not only about J saying the n-word but also that R was laughing, not saying anything about it but instead laughing. I told my mom again, and she said that she would deal with it. So I let my mom deal with it. Well, in the end, the movie did not work, so we were all just sitting there and waiting. So my sister decided that she would go over to J's house. At this point, I'm still mad, so I say, "Why would I go to a racist house?" and again he starts apologizing. I say whatever. Fool one-time shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And I sure as heck would not be fooled three times. So then my mom starts to say. that J does not know better and he hears these things at school. I was very upset that she took j being racist over me. She just kept saying it was because he was not smart. Now, I would understand if he had a disability, but he doesn't; he just finds it funny to be racist.
I believe I need to talk to someone about how these things made me feel and how I've lost faith in my mom, R, and J's mom as a result of this. I'll keep you informed on my progress.

5/29 Monday MLB New York Yankees vs Seattle Mariners Betting Preview
In this Monday MLB matchup, the New York Yankees will take on the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park. Both teams have shown promising performances this season, and this game is expected to be an exciting battle. Let's analyze the reasons why each team might cover the Run Line, as well as the potential for the game to go Over or Under the Total.
The New York Yankees come into this game with a record of 32-23. They have been solid overall, with a powerful offense that averages 4.50 runs per game. Their offense is led by key players like Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton, who have been delivering consistent performances. The Yankees, despite their struggles ATS, have a good chance of covering the Run Line based on their strong road performances.
In terms of a prediction for the final score, given the relatively low team ERAs and the possibility of a lower-scoring game, a final score of 4-3 in favor of the Seattle Mariners seems plausible.

1 is my biggest complaint. If you want students to develop a lifetime workout habit, they need to see the results of their hard work. Nothing wrong with a little bit of confidence boosting vanity. There’s also the issue of comfort. There’s a reason why almost every gym you go into, the vast majority of people - males and females - wear tank tops.
Does anyone else want to wear tank tops in the gym?

Example to that are Super Robot Wars. Started going out on PC too since 2017, except it's still region locked other than 30. But still had officially translated into English, I'm assuming because dev want us to play to play here too but just can't cause of the licensing issue for being a cross-over related game.
And I know there are ways of getting the game such as using VPN or something, except that has risk of getting me banned. So with that in mind, is there a way to buy the game the way those dev actually want us too but without the risk of getting banned as a result? Lol XD
I can always try to get the game for free, but I only want to do that for the kind of platform I know I won't use like PS1, PS2, Gameboy, and so on. Other than that, I would like to support the dev as much as I can by paying for the games that is on PC, but I also don't want to risk losing all my games just to get a few, and I don't want to make an entire new account for it either to keep it more risk free.

is it worth it to get a 23 & me test. i recently only got my haplogroup tested which is u7 and it got me interested in my ancestry. the problem is - i know what the results are going to be and i know what to expect so it’s not like i’m going to find any underlying information about my ancestry or anything. what do y’all think? is this test ultimately worth it? i want to learn more about my early ancestors but for certain regions of south asia, i do not think 23&me has developed the ability to allow me to dive deeper into my heritage.

Hello, I don't have any experience with FPV drones but for normal drones, I have a bit of experience as I fly a DJI mini 2. Anyways, I have been looking into getting a FPV drone and I was wondering if I should build one or buy one. If I buy one should I look at like a DJI Avata or elsewhere like a Tinyhawk drone? I have 0 experience with FPV so do I go 5" or mini whoop? I am looking to do fast flying but like wanna be doing tricks and flips and stuff. I don't really care for racing or any of that stuff. Also regarding building one, I have no experience building them but I have done soldering before so I may be able to figure it out. Thanks!

THINGS I LIKED:
The 2 new songs that Ariel and Eric got.
The shots of waves at the beginning.
Eric's mom, she was a good character and the actress did a great job.
The backstory of Ariel's mom being dead.
Ursula's outfit/glowing tentacles.
The contrast between Ariel and Eric's life and relationship to their parents.
The eels looking as creepy as real ones do.
Ariel agreeing to Ursula's deal with her scale instead of writing it down.
The lady who worked at the castle that helped Ariel when she first came, she was sweet, I liked her.
Vanessa, mainly the actress who played her.
Eric's character.
How Ariel told Eric her name was pretty sweet.
The mirror trick Ariel played on the shark was actually pretty clever.
Ariel coming at Vanessa and just wrestling to get her necklace off.
Vanessa's purple dress, it's lovely.
The chameo that the original voice actress of Ariel had was good, and not too obvious.
Flounder was alright.
Ariel's wedding dress is pretty.
THINGS I DISLIKED:
The lighting in the movie was way too dim, I know some movies do that to hide imperfections in the CGI, but it just results in the movie not being as colorful as the 1989 version.
The acting with King Triton wasn't good, I heard the actor who played him is great in other stuff, so I'm not sure if this was a directing issue, but King Triton always sounded like he was bored and or tired, even when he came back to life at the end, he doesn't seem to give a shit.
Scuttle's new song isn't the worst, it is pretty catchy, but the tone of it doesn't match any of the other songs, even the new ones.
Sebastain's voice was really annoying, I hated whenever he was on screen.
King Triton comes across more like an asshole than a caring father, partly due to the acting, I never feel like he's concerned for his daughter.
The actress who played Ariel is a great singer, but not great with the musical theater singing that the film needs. Also, while she was clearly trying, I never believed her acting, it felt like a performance and not a character. A lot of the time it felt underplayed, like when her dad destroyed all her stuff.
The worst scene in this movie was after Ursula died, when Ariel sees her father come back to life and doesn't really react, she just hands him the triton and thanks him for sacrificing himself for her. I think this scene honestly might be a directing mistake and not the fault of the actors, because if I was Ariel and I saw my fucking father come back to life, I wouldn't just hand him his triton, I'd swim right up to him and hug the shit out of him while crying my eyes out. That goes for King Triton too, this man just came back to fucking life, yet he still seems bored, barley looking relieved that his daughter is ok, why doesn't he seem to care?!
Ariel's blue dress was ugly, her headband is cute though.
The realistic animals aren't as distracting as I feared from the trailer, Sabastain was still unintentionally creepy looking.
Sometimes the dialog can get kinda awkward, feeling like forced exposition.
Ariel singing with Sebastien during "Under The Sea" was a bad idea, while it sounds really good, it doesn't make sense for Ariel's character here to sing along and then just ditch him at the end of the song.
The acting on Ursula was awful, the actress who plays her has been good in other stuff, but she was absolutely miscast here. In all her scenes, she either sounded drunk or like she's doing a porn voice, which made the scene where she was manipulating Ariel unintentionally uncomfortable. Also, during her talking and singing moments, she enunciated words in a really weird way, it wouldn't be too distracting, accept she did this all the fricken time, it was confusing and irritating.
While Eric and Ariel's chemistry was written well, I didn't believe the chemistry between the actors.
While the idea that Ariel's friends are all doing the singing in the "Kiss The Girl" song is good in theory, I didn't think the execution worked. To me, Flounder's singing during this song wasn't good at all, in an interview, the actor who played Flounder said it was his first time really singing, which does explain his lack of singing talent. In my opinion, he was only 12 years old when he recorded his lines, so, I think it was the job of the film makers (whether the people in charge of the music or the director) to have either gotten someone else to record Flounder's singing parts, or even cut him out entirely. Scuttle's singing also wasn't good, but that was at least intentional for the sake of the joke. Honestly, while I wasn't that into Sebastien's singing voice in this movie, it still would have been better if he did this song solo.
It wasn't really made clear in this version that Eric was hypnotized by Ursula, I kind of understand why he wouldn't just walk around blankly like in the original so that his mother wouldn't suspect anything was off, but I think it went slightly too far when he was still wondering where Ariel was. Plus, in the scene where he meets Vanessa, he just follows the voice, sees her on a rock, and there's no indication that he's being hypnotized at that moment, it just comes across as if Eric is still hung up on this dream girl.
The change at the climax, when now Ariel's the one who kills Ursula instead of Eric seems unnecessary, especially since the point of Eric being the one to kill Ursula and save the ocean was so that King Triton realizes that not all humans are evil. It makes Triton's change of heart feel way less impactful.
