"If you're not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you" THIS IS A FICTIONAL CONCEPT

2023.05.29 06:09 Upset-Abalone-9356 my ex is at a strip club only a week after our breakup

My ex broke up with me for taking a plan b and saying that I killed a child before it was even born (makes no sense) so he literally broke up with me over something that random and not breakup worthy. I’m almost certain he just jumped at any opportunity to break up with me. Anyways I find out he has been to clubs and now a strip club. Which is so funny because he has never been to one and always made fun of dudes for being thirsty for going to places like that. The only reason I know he went is because we have an email that is joint and he used google maps and whenever I open google maps it shows me places he has asked for directions for and shows the location. So he is now at a strip club. I’m going to log out of that email for my own sake but I just think it’s funny how he called me disgusting for taking a plan b after having sex with HIM & now he’s at a whole strip club a week after our breakup.

2023.05.29 06:06 OriginalTacoMoney What actually is in most people's experience the cost of domain and the annual fees to keep the rights to it ? I keep getting different figures

So I have been on the hunt for a new job and one of the places I check regularly is my countries Job Bank.
I see a lot of "seemingly" good positions with decent wages.
But recently a ton of them have for applications to send it to a email....nearly all of which have a generic domain, be it Outlook, Gmail, even a few old Hotmails in there.

The consensus I get from others in the field is that if a company is too cheap to have its own domain, then there IT budget is likely a mess.
But I am curious how cheap they are .
Tried googling domain costs and I get different answers, some saying .net domains are like $3-5 Canadian to buy, others say .com are $15-20 Canadian to buy with another 20 or annually.
Others say its $500 dollars.
I get estimates all over the map, just curious what is a standard domain name initial buy and the annual fees and see how cheap a lot of these companies recruiting are.

2023.05.29 05:26 GlobalTradeBro Rock Creek Thru Hike Update

Rock Creek Thru Hike Update
Hi friends! Thank you for your support regarding our Rock Creek Thru Hike plan. Some of you had asked for a trip report. It went really well. We left at 6am and completed by 4pm. We started at the Rock Creek parking lot by Georgetown Waterfront and walked north along the main trail until Lake Needwood in Maryland. The trail was entirely paved and there was little to no traffic. The first 18 miles went by quite easily but the last 7.5 miles were brutal. We started to hobble and felt a lot of muscle and joint pain. Still hobbling one day later but recovering well. Saw two bald eagles, several deer, and a black snake. Ate a Harris Teeter Turkey sandwich from the sandwich station for lunch. We aimed for approximately 20 mins per mile with a 1 hour lunch and rest. Lots of water throughout and restrooms as well. Overall it was a great time and I am grateful for having Rock Creek in our community. (PS I heard it’s technically safe enough to swim up in Maryland but not permitted). Hope to do something like this with the C&O next.

2023.05.29 05:23 OctoHelm SOLVED: Cannot map network drives after joining LDAP

Hello!
I'm going to leave the draft of this as is so you can see the pain, misery, despair, and suffering learning and professional development that I went through. Hopefully this can help someone sometime. I can't believe that it took me so long to figure this out.
PROBLEM: Cannot map network drives after joining LDAP
RESOLUTION: Leave LDAP and restart your NAS and you should be good to go.
Now, if you need LDAP and need to map drives via SMB, I am so sorry and I hope that you get your issue solved.
---Start of what I was about to post---
I cannot connect to SMB on my workstation (running W10 for Workstations). I keep on getting the "the specified network password is not correct." It is the correct password. I recently set up LDAP for the NAS so that we could integrate it our Google workspace into it.
I've been working on rectifying this for about two hours now and I am approaching my limit before I eat my keyboard.
I have another NAS on our LAN and I checked the settings to ensure that they were the same for the two servers. I disconnected all of the other mapped network drives from File Explorer and have been able to successfully map them again with the one NAS but not the other NAS. I have noticed that I am not prompted for the password when connecting to the working NAS though, whereas I am with the NAS that is having the issue.
I've tried the following:
---END---
So hopefully this is helpful to someone someday. If there's anything I did wrong or could have done better here, please feel free to let me know. I am still learning!
Thanks so much :)

2023.05.29 04:40 code_hunter_cc What is the purpose of CXF servlet

Apache
I was going through a demo project setup for Restful webservice using Apache CXF, where I happened to come by a piece of code inside web.xml:
CXFServlet org.apache.cxf.transport.servlet.CXFServlet CXFServlet /services/* I did not really understand the use of a servlet class in this web.xml. I googled for org.apache.cxf.transport.servlet.CXFServlet and found:
The CXFServlet class, which is defined by Apache CXF, is generated and registered to handle incoming requests.
Now, I really do not understand what that line means
  1. Does this servlet pose as a front-controller, like in Spring MVC flow?
  2. What is the actual purpose of using this servlet class?
  3. How does CXF use Spring to provide XML configuration of services defined in the project?
  4. Does org.glassfish.jersey.servlet.ServletContainer serve the same purpose in Jersey Implementation as org.apache.cxf.transport.servlet.CXFServlet with Apache CXF?
Help me clarify these questions.

Hey guys how’s it going for everyone? I just wanna see if any of you have anyone you can suggest for helping get my gmc acct unsuspended (misrepresentation).
I’ve went over all of my settings and business info to make sure everything was on point. Made sure all of my policies are 100% transparent. So at this point, after almost two months of requesting reviews and trying to reach out to google which was no help, I need someone who knows how to get this solved.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

2023.05.29 03:29 wolfpackalpha Beginner Canoeing Spots Central Vermont

Hello!
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for places to go canoeing for people who haven't done much before? My girlfriend and I got a canoe late last year, and so far have only done the Waterbury Reservoir. It was nice, but was a bit crowded and we were a bit nervous around the motor boats. I'm trying to find a place that's ideally a bit less busy and without power boats. We're in the Montpelier area, so something around Central Vermont would be ideal.
Googling around online, I came across Kettle Pond which sounds interesting. The only issue is with their map I see online, it looks like the "cartop boat launch" is at the end of a hiking trail? So I wasn't sure if you're supposed to carry the canoe in? or if it's a shared trail?
Any suggestions about kettle pond or other spots to go would be greatly appreciative! Thanks!
