Hi. I'm sorta new to this, so I apologize if this is too long.
Recently diagnosed ADHD. I was dismissed from my university for failure in attending and submitting work (I was an online student). I work full time in a stressful job and really couldn't manage everything. I know that I should have withdrawn, and I'm sure I can attempt to petition them to reverse their decision, but to be honest, I don't know that I want to.
My whole life my parents have always expected the very best from me. Perfection. Somehow this expectation completely missed my older sister, and landed squarely on me.
The problem is, that I've never really wanted school. I've never wanted the ambition or academic success, never really wanted to become an attorney, never wanted the millions of dollars. Quite frankly, I don't see the value for me in being a corporate anything. All I really want with my life is a nice job that pays the bills (which I've already achieved for now), a house someday (good luck to anyone attempting to do that in this economy), and a man that loves me for who I am, not what I can produce or be shown off as.
I really just want to be loved for who I am, by my parents too. And every day I'm working on understanding who that person is. I just don't know how to cope with the disappointment of parents who have expected everything from you, and you've delivered exactly nothing.
I feel guilty for not telling my parents about how unsuccessful I am with school. And I feel that they'll be really disappointed that I kept that from them and that I have thrown away two years of school and tons of money on not even having a degree.
I know that I shouldn't be consumed with this, but the pressure to be exactly who they want me to be is immense, and I am struggling under the weight of it.
My friend suggested that I move away, or travel around and get some distance while I figure things out. As nice as that sounds, I try to be practical, and have student loans to pay on and traveling feels irresponsible when I have debt.
I'm just not sure how to proceed. Whether my parents really need to know that I've been dismissed from school, or if I should even try to fix this problem of being such a disappointment. Any thoughts and advice is welcome.

It ranges from $7.95 to $9.95 depending on the size of the pile of poop your sending. The cost is clearly marked on the order page along side the price of the different packages. The above price range also includes handling cost. (which is a shitty job but somebody has to handle it.)
Is it real poop?
Only the mad scientist that packs this stuff in the back room knows for sure and he wouldn't tell us, but we do know this, it really smells bad back there, he is mixing up shit, and he does visit the local dairy farm and zoo about twice a week. (We also don't want the delivery company to actually know what kind of shit they're delivering.) We can assure you that it looks nasty and really stinks. It will get the point across to your intended victim.
Can I send more than one at a time?

Clara is six years old, but she has dwarfism and comes in at 1‘5“ and 17 pounds. Ok. I’m sorry in advance because this is sort of long.
Just like any child, she is wanting her independence. Normally this isn’t an issue at this age, but she is only about an 18 month old in terms of physical development, other than that, everything else is normal. But we are facing a few challenges.
Do y’all have some ideas on our I can help my Clara be able to reach the restroom and the kitchen sink so she can wash her hands by herself? We have tried various combinations of stepstool’s and faucet extenders with no luck. It would also be great if she could see above the countertops, or even reach them.
She also struggles climbing up/down the stairs. I guess it’s not the biggest deal, but given her age she wants to do it independently instead of me having to carry her. She can do it by herself, but it’s done ittle kid style and it takes a while, plus it takes a lot out of her. (I don’t even know if there is a solution but anything helps) right now it is just a huge task for her, it takes a lot of effort for her just to climb up one step. The handrail is way too high for her to reach and we also have to watch out that she doesn’t fall through the banisters.
Also do you have any suggestions to help her be able to turn on and off the lights? Right now we are having to do it for her because she isn’t tall enough to reach the switch.
Also when she is sitting at our kitchen table, we can barely see the very top of her hair when we are sitting across from her. Our table is a normal sized one, but relative to her it is huge. I imagine a small for their age 2 year old sitting at a regular sized table and chairs. Ideally we would like to get her sitting up high enough to see over the table and be able to rest are arms on it and eat with us comfortably, All the while being able to get in and out of the chair by herself. She honestly needs a highchair in order to be at the right height, but she is six years old, I think she’s a little too old to be in a high chair.
What should we do about this when we go to restaurants? Usually when we sit at a booth or a chair, we can’t even tell she is there. And we have tried using the boosters they provide but that just raises are high enough to barely be able to see over the table.
What car seat should we be using for her? We are getting her a different car seat and I wasn't too sure which one to get. She is six years old after all, but also 18 pounds. And the height of a toddler. She wants to have with all of her peers have in the car, but I was telling her that due to her weight/height that might just not be possible. Part of me thinks she still needs to be in a rear facing car seat, but I know for her it won’t be cool with a six year old has to be in a rear facing. what is something I could get that would best accommodate what she wants versus what would be the safest?
Also she badly wants to be able to get in and out of the car by herself. But the thing is, She is tiny, and even if she somehow reached the door handle, she isn’t strong enough to open/close it. Plus she is so tiny that I have to put her in her rear facing seat as well as take her out. Remember, this wouldn’t be a big deal but she is six years old, I doubt much can be done about this, but any ideas?
When we go out, this could be to the store, on a trip, etc. At 1'5", Clara quickly gets worn out trying to keep up with us if she is walking, even when we slow down for her. Normally we just put her in a baby carrier,or put her in a kiddie stroller. But she has started to complain about it because she is six years old and wants to be independent, she doesn't want to be carried around or placed in a stroller, so what should we start doing when she gets worn out when she's out with us?
And when she is walking around, especially in public. People aren’t expecting a tiny little toddler sized six year old at times. Is there something she could have/where/hold to be more noticeable, a few time is it she has gotten bumped into out in public because she wasn’t seen.
And lastly, any ideas on how she can be able to reach the door knobs and open/close them by yourself? The handles on the doors are too high for her, plus she isn’t strong enough to open or close them.
Again, normally this wouldn’t be a big deal, but she is six years old. not two.

I did a double order today and after I dropped off the Order A I was heading to deliver Order B and Order A customer messaged me saying, “Hi, I’m missing 4 bananas and loaf of bread”. I messaged back and told her that she only requested 1 banana and 1 loaf of bread, so that’s what I got. I sent her screenshots of the order to back myself up. She responded back saying that I still should have gotten another loaf of bread because they were buy one get one free. I told her that if she wanted the free bread, she should have requested 2 breads so I would have known, and then the discount would have been applied at checkout. I also told her I don’t recall seeing the buy one get one tag on the shelf or I would have grabbed another! Who is in the wrong here?
Also… after completing Order B delivery, I checked the pay and Order A (the complainer) never even tipped. I figured she would take my tip even though it was her own fault and stupidity, but she never had a tip to begin with. SMH. 😤

Hi everyone, I need to rant bc my mom and I can't have a conversation anymore without her bringing up my sexual orientation, religious views, QAnon nonsense, incredibly racist stuff, anti-Semitic stuff, misogynistic stuff, etc. She listens to Alex Jones every night and says she has nightmares every night because she lets his videos play while she's sleeping, but she keeps doing it because she believes he is a genius. For the record I am bisexual, and mostly I date women and queer men, or more left-leaning feminine men that my mom would not approve of. I am 22, not out to my mom, and have never introduced her to anyone that I've ever dated.
Anytime I try to have a normal conversation with her about what I did over the weekend, like I'll say I got coffee with a friend my mom will say "You're wasting precious years hanging out with women friends when you should be looking for a husband." She nags me to date a man, get married soon, have kids. She tells me I'll be suicidal and depressed at 40 if I don't get married and have kids. It gives me a ton of anxiety bc I do want to get married and have a family, but my mom telling me I basically expire by 25 makes dating so stressful for me, because I have this nagging voice of hers in the back of my head. Moreover, she tells me constantly to find a good Christian guy -- my mom and entire family were born Jewish, but my mom converted to evangelical Christianity a few years ago for QAnon. I absolutely would never date or marry a religious Christian person (no offense to anyone who practices, it's just that being Jewish and raising a Jewish family/home life is important to me) but she would only approve of a 6"2 Christian blonde guy from the South who votes Republican.
The other day she insisted on visiting me because I had surgery. I couldn't handle alone time with her, so I had her over at the same time as a friend of mine who I knew would not get offended by her nonsense. But my mom couldn't stop saying the most insane, horrible things the entire time, even if I asked her to stop. I literally just had surgery, my mouth was fucking bleeding, and I'm asking my mom to stop saying the word "pedophile" every 2 seconds to talk about the "satanic pedophile cult of democrats" and she continues to do it every time. She complained about the Jews running Hollywood to make commercials with same sex and interracial couples, among other comments.
My mom is just incredibly socially maladjusted and has no friends or loved ones besides me and my siblings. She thinks that the way to create intimacy and connections with others is to be toxic, provocative, get a response, etc. She can't just socialize normally and talk about the weather and work and movies because literally anything you say she has a response i.e "It's been a cold summer so far" "That's because the Jews control the weather"; "I'm getting dinner at a new restaurant with a friend" "You're wasting your time having friends, you're too old to be hanging out with friends every night, you should just find a husband now and settle down. Plus that restaurant is in a gay neighborhood so the food might have AIDS."
Today was my final straw and my first time posting because she was having a hard week at work so she texted me "You're straight, right?" She texts this to me every now and then like it's a tic. Sometimes I just say yes, but recently it's been getting on my nerves that I even have to waste any energy or time responding to these texts, and she asks my constantly over text and in person, probably multiple times per month even though in the past I've told her I am. I just said "I'm sorry your work is hard, but it's almost the weekend!" she got mad that I didn't confirm my heterosexuality, even though she asks constantly and I've told her in the past that I'm not answering the same text or question 50 times. She sent me all these texts about "God I can't take it anymore" because I didn't reply to her millionth text asking if I am straight.
My overall irritation is that I'm not the type of kid who's like "I'm queer and this is my girlfriend, and you have to whole-heartedly accept us or else I'll never speak to you again!!" I don't care if my mom is homophobic personally, I'm just sick of it infecting every single one of our interactions. We can't talk about anything anymore; I work at a synagogue part-time so I can't talk about my job because she says anti-Semitic stuff; I'm a Humanities major so I can't talk about anything I learn about or read in school because a lot of it is gender theory or critical race theory; I can't talk about what I do with my friends because it's time I'm spending not looking for a husband. Basically I can only have small talk with my mom, the kind you'd have with someone waiting in a long line for a bank or store opening.
I'm just so angry that I can't talk about anything with my mom. Whenever we do have a rare "good" conversations it's incredibly controlled and is like small talk. It feels like I am talking to a stranger. I just wish she would wake up and start acting normal, stop going on 4chan and Alex Jones etc. But she is in so deep. I get so creeped out how she is constantly asking me about my sexuality and asks in this sad, weird, little voice "Y-y-you're straight, right?" like she's so scared I'm not. A year ago I had to move out because she found my social media, which has evidence of me not being straight, and she called me crying saying she's having a heart attack and might go to the ER and threatened to k*ll herself if I'm gay. Literally saying "If you don't say you're straight right now I'm going to k*ll myself."
It feels like working with a 3 year old with her. It's like how sometimes a sticker chart works on a toddler's behavior, sometimes it's time out, sometimes it's a hug, but you just never know what's going to get them to act right. Except my mom is 51. In therapy I did learn some good conflict resolution techniques; changing the subject, giving her positive directions like "I want to hear about where you eat out for lunch at work" before she can spiral on a rant, gray rocking -- the problem is like a toddler, sometimes the techniques work and sometimes they don't so I am always shooting in the dark and it's such a huge mental and emotional burden to constantly navigate which thing is gonna work. Sometimes if I ignore a text she blows up, or if I change the subject calmly she freaks out "Why are you changing the subject?!" and then other times those things work, or other things do and then a week later they don't. I just feel like I'm not being paid enough (or at all) to put up with her constant tantrums. I constantly have to "be the bigger person" and just send a text that makes me uncomfortable, or sit through horrible things to hear -- but I'm the actual child, why am I being the bigger person all of the time?
The last thing I want to say is that my mom has a lot of trauma and emotional problems she has never dealt with. My dad cheated on her, and since she believes the only way she can be happy is to have a husband, she has projected that insecurity onto me and tells me the only way I'll be happy is with a husband, that if I don't "give her a baby" in the next year or two she will k*ll herself, etc. She won't seek therapy and can't talk to any friends about anything because she has no one.

I used to use an amazing app called Yahoo Car Navi which is an app only available in Japan. I really enjoyed using it because on my route it would show me all of the gas stations(among other things like restaurant chains & convenience stores) in my area. It’s not available outside of Japan unfortunately or I’d still be using it. As someone who enjoys going on solo road trips mostly to rural areas, knowing when I’m near a gas station is very helpful. Is there an English GPS app I can use that has this function?

Not sure if this is related to the church/cult recruiters that was happening in the Melbourne CBD but... I just had a similar encounter.
So I was at South Melbourne Market this morning doing my usual weekly food shopping. I was about to head back to my car when all of the sudden I was approached by 2 youths - 1 male (Ben) and 1 female (CJ).
The conversation started off normal by both CJ and Ben saying that they just moved from Regional Victoria and were looking for a café to have brunch at this morning. They asked me where are the good restaurants/cafés around the area. After recommending them a few places and wanting to be on my way, both Ben and CJ kept wanting to keep the conversation going by asking where I am from, how long I have lived in Melbourne, what do I do for work etc. At this point, I was cornered by the both of them. Ben was on my left and CJ was on my right. Not gonna lie, I was a little intimidated. Then CJ asked me - "Do you know about Planet Shakers?". When CJ asked me this question, I immediately knew where this was going.
I felt that CJ asking me this question was her wanting to determine whether I was religious or not. Of course I continued playing along with her saying that yes I know of Planet Shakers. She asked me if she should join that church.
I then replied saying - I can't give advise on churches because I am a Buddhist ( I actually am not lol.) Once the both of them heard that, they made an excuse pretty quickly to end the conversation - "Oh it was so nice talking to you but we have to go because we have a brunch appointment with our friend in Brighton in 30 minutes."
Lmao...brunch appointment....in Brighton.... in 30 minutes....
If they had a brunch appointment in 30mins, why did they stop me to ask about the good cafes/restaurants they could visit this morning?
I don't know but this encounter was very weird.

I’m house sitting directly east of John mclaren park and see lots of tempting restaurants on the map like in the Bret Harte / Bayview area - craftsman and wolves den, smokin’ warehouse bbq, etc - I’ve never really spent time in this neighborhood but when I was younger it was described as really dangerous. Is it sufficiently safe that it’d be pretty chill to walk from John Mclaren Park to those restaurants or South Beach/north shore Yosemite slough?

Tonight I went out to dinner with my bf. My bf has addressed his concerns recently about me not putting effort into my appearance and not being as feminine as he would like. We've grown comfortable after 2 years of dating. In an effort to correct this I invited bf out to a nice restaurant. he replied "yes I'm excited for our date". Bf shows up to restaurant in sweatshorts and an old tie-dye shirt. I say nothing. Dinner finishes up, I thank him and I suggest grabbing some drinks down the street before calling it a night. Bf complains. He didn't shower and wasn't prepared be out for more than 30 min. I say what a date should mean in the future; effort, romance, time together. He explodes. tells me I am ungrateful and that no man would ever see my perspective. He dumps me. maybe Im wrong for expecting more out of him. Is there a difference between grabbing a quick dinner and going on a date?

We are currently in escrow. The seller is a corporation and has not been super cooperative. They sent over the disclosures but it’s like the person who filled them out hasn’t seen the house. They checked numerous lines as “no” for appliances and features that are very obviously there, and checked “yes” for others that very obviously aren’t. We’ve asked them to correct, and they still haven’t, yet they’re bitching about extending the contingency for inspections when they failed to have the utilities turned on for the scheduled inspection. I understand that if they haven’t produced disclosures at all, that adjusts our contingency deadlines, but what if they sent over disclosures but they’re clearly wrong? Does that count as not delivering?

Hi everyone- sorry if this has been asked before I’m new to this sub and have a question regarding disability pay. I have never filed for disability before but did have to file for unemployment twice during the pandemic so I am somewhat familiar with the Edd website already.
I work in a restaurant and will be going on disability in July due to pregnancy. My last day of work (as of right now) will be a Thursday and I know there is the 7 day waiting period which means I wouldn’t be eligible to start making disability money until the following Thursday correct? From what I remember the pay period weeks run from Monday-Sunday though so would I just get partial pay for that first week (Thursday-sun) or would it not kick in until the following Monday and I’m essentially waiting 10 days? I’m just wondering if I’m better off having my last day be a Sunday so that the 7 day waiting period falls on a Monday-Sunday.
