So I’ve been using duolingo to learn danish and one thing that I don’t get is why ‘a’ is used in 2 different ways (en & et) like to say a child would be et barn at et stykke pizza but a man is en mand or en gul banan.

TLDR; we have dodgy leaky plumbing & a blocked toilet pipe caused water to leak resulting in substantial water damage to our floors. Also into the cafe below us. Idk what to expect from the realestate & what we should do.

Recent issue occurred when my partner had a shower while the laundry was on, the downstairs neighbour came knocking on our door to alarm us of a leak that was dripping on his customers. (Cafe directly below us, we have the same landlord but separate realestate.)
Then my partner noticed our laundry floor drain had overflowed, our toilet was bubbling & then he walked into the kitchen which is on the other side of the wall of the laundry & water has leaked up through the floowall & damaged all of the floating floor. It’s warped rippling & it had water seeping out of gaps. It’s also on the carpet in the bedroom.
When we moved in we noticed minor water damage to some of the kitchen floor & skirting I’m certain it was acknowledged with photos in the real-estates condition report before we moved in.
I sent videos of all the current water damage to the realestate emergency contact the day it happened & explained the situation. We didn’t know if the leak was on going or where it was coming from. We also can’t turn off our water bc were in a unit.
They didn’t answer my calls & replied 4 hours later only saying ‘did your washing machine cause the leak?’ … nothing said about the water damage or when a plumber would come ect.
My partners best mate is a certified plumber & he had come over to take a look since the realestate took so long to respond. The washing machine is fully functional without leaks.
It turns out the pipes under our laundry & in the shops ceiling are not up to code, according to the plumber friend. We’ve seen photos it’s very dodgy looking. There’s an open waste pipe that hovers into another pipe, it’s not sealed so if there’s a block it just overflows.
Which the shop owner had asked to be repaired previously when we had a leak. It’s a health hazard especially above a cafe.
The realestate sent the plumber today, he filled up the bath & flooded the floor again, causing more damage. It leaked into the shop again..we got another knock on our door. He told the cafe owner ‘this stuff just happens.’ Gave him no heads up that he was testing the pipes.
Our bedroom carpet has now been wet for 2 days we’re trying to dry it but the weathers cold.
He says there’s a waste blockage, toilet paper n shit. he used a camera. He’s coming back tomorrow to screw the toilet back in..
I will need to contact our agent about the floor damage through out the apartment.
Do I request a detailed report from the plumber?
Do i get a second report done from our friend?
What happens in this situation regarding the floor?? It looks like the floor needs to be replaced.. which sounds like a huge expensive job. This whole thing is stressful already. I don’t wanna deal with potential mold, I have enough health issues.
What do I do, please help! 🫠

Not sure if anyone else remembers this map from like... 7 years ago, but I've been trying to find it. It's exactly what it sounds like: A Super Mario themed Parkour Map. I remember that it had pizza in it, lol. I think Pat & Jen (From PopularMMOS and GamingWithJen) did a series on it. A Review of Golf Courses in Austin Texas
As in the title, this is a review of the golf courses in Austin. However it is not about course conditions, difficulty or enjoyability, this is strictly a review on the turtle sightings on each course which is why we all play.
Here are the parameters. 🐢indicates zero turtle sightings and a low potential for turtles.
🐢🐢2 indicates zero or few sightings but a potential for more turtles
🐢🐢🐢indicates some turtle sightings with a potential for more.
🐢🐢🐢🐢 indicates a large quantity of turtle sightings and a potential for variety.
🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢 indicates a large quantity, healthy habitat, and a variety of species.
Lions: 🐢🐢 Sadly, there were no sightings in the peak of Spring to Summer. However, the back nine has 5 holes with water. Sadly, most of which seems quite still.
Roy Kizer & Jimmy Clay: 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢 These municipal courses offer the widest variety of wildlife peacre than any of the other courses. Not only will you witness graceful dives of the local sliders and softshells that live here, but also turkeys, deer, ducks, and snakes. The cost per round for both of these adjacent courses are certainly worth a herpetologists playthrough. Although these may not be the best courses for total quantity of turtles, they certainly support the variety to keep a turtle gazers focus off of their tee shots and on the banks of a pond for some sweet sunbathing shell lads/lasses.
Terravista: 🐢🐢🐢 This course unfortunately has the pitfall of a deceitful scorecard. Many of the holes claim to have water but these are not exactly reliable. However, this course has some decent ponds/lakes that sustain a year round population of turtles. Miss the fairway on hole 12 with your diver and your ball will roll gently down the slope towards the pond where many skittish terrapins reside who would enjoy a strawberry or a leaf of cabbage.
Forest Creek: 🐢🐢🐢🐢🐢 This course is the best turtle friendly course in the area. 6 holes featuring water hazards and all of them were a smattering of sunbathing friends. The species varied across all the usual suspects but the star of the show was the large amount of Texas Spiny Softshell Turtles. There were 2 of those softshells that were the size of a large pizza and this was truly a delightful sighting. If you like to golf, this course is perfect for you to “shank” one near the bank to get a closer look at all these amazing turtle bros and lady bros.
Hancock: 🐢🐢🐢🐢 This historic course is only a 9 hole and it is smack dab in the middle of Austin but this course had it all. 5 holes had water features that has consistent depth and life surrounding it. This course also was home to 3 different species that were visible including a very large Snapping Turtle and a few Texas Spiny Softshell turtles. The only reason this course does not get the fifth turtle is for the sheer quantity since the water available is more limited.
Lago Vista: 🐢 The score card indicates 5 holes with water features but there is only 1 real hole with a water feature. This is a man made pod with a fountain that is small enough for a gimmick but too small to support a turtle population that would make this course worth it. Golf wise, we know this course is lacking by all measures but turtle wise it is just as poor.
Riverside: 🐢 This course has only about 3 real holes with water features on them indicated by the scorecard. Sadly, having played this course before and after rains, these features are mostly dry as a bone or not sustaining enough water to entice the habitation of our shelled friends.
Star Ranch: 🐢🐢🐢 This course has 6 holes that have water feature and there were some decent sightings of turtles. The sightings were extremely limited to Red Eared Sliders and the quantity was lacking on some holes all together. The potential however is high since there are some larger bodies of water that are consistent and support other life. Sadly, the hard shell truth is that this is a very pricy course and the turtles were less populous as they could have been.
Crystal Falls:🐢🐢 This course indicates 13 of 18 holes that have water features. Sadly, this is incredibly misleading. This course is stacked in a fun area of Leander geographically with some fun elevation changes that could allow for some decent lakes, ponds, and running water. Sadly, most of the water indicated on the scorecard are there as a potential for vernal rainfalls and not really an accurate depiction of consistent water. I recently played this course this spring and even after consistent and decent rainfall for the year, the standing water was scarce. Turtles were seen at some of the ponds and lakes but for this course to receive a higher score, the rain fall and standing water would need to be more consistent to support the diverse turtle species and awesome quantity that the hill country can sustain.

I was introduced to this guy, through a friend, in February of this year. He is exactly my type. Eventually, all three of us (the crush, I'll call Watson; the friend Patrick) became good friends. Once, I called all my friends over for a few drinks in my room. When they all came over, Patrick decided to also invite Watson. (I did not have Watson's number at this point.) He came over. When everyone was leaving and he just stayed back for a while — which was odd but I didn't think much of it. The next day, he saw me working on some important application at the cafe on campus and came over to apologise. When I asked why, he said he took my lighter. I laughed and said it's okay. I was also on a call with my parents, so I couldn't hang out with him then, but he lingered around my table for a while and then left.
A few days/weeks later, I helped him make his Hinge profile. While doing so, I told him I thought the friend I saw him with that morning was really cute. Patrick suggested as a joke that they should set us up. Watson, however, was dismissive and said "I think the first relationship you have should be a relationship; not a set up". At this point, I must mention that he was introduced - by Patrick - to two other people both of whom are also my friends and have a crush on him. Since these girls were my friends AND I was in a situationship where I was down bad, I didn't pay much heed to this guy. That same night, however, we went to our usual smoking spot. Patrick...went away for a while, and I and Watson kept talking while leaning against a door frame. In that moment, I had the strongest urge to kiss him but I ignored it. The three of us hung out till the morning, so around 6-7 A.M., and him and I went out for a walk. I picked him a few flowers, we smoked a little bit more and walked around a nearby neighborhood. It was, once again, very normal and platonic. Till the beginning of this month.
This month was our graduation & senior week. Anyhoo, the entire two weeks is mostly just parties and events. One of which happens to be the biggest event of the week: the grad dance. That day, he kept hovering around I and my other group of friends while we danced. It was odd at the time but whatever. Later, he came up to me and asked if I wanted to go for a walk. I assumed he wanted to smoke so I said yes. He held my hand and we went on a short walk in the neighborhood. We kept getting calls from Patrick who was concerned because my phone was dead and I was drunk and out in a very... provocative dress. Anyway, Watson answered and said we're coming back and we begin to head back. Abruptly, he stops and asks me if I want to kiss him. And I said yes. Since then things have been slightly more... flirty. He calls me cute and constantly interacts with me on social media. We hang out here and there — one-on-one which is...rare and had only happened once before. At our graduation ceremony, I just asked if he wants to make out with me again. He said yes and we....did???
The issue is: he is currently kind of, sort of also seeing this one other girl? By seeing I mean they have a situationship and idk how I feel about that. I am also not so sure anymore that he's into me. Now I don't know what to do and I cannot stop thinking about this and I am going to explode if things don't change by August ;-; he's also not the long distance kind and I am so sure that even if he's into me, he will refuse to date me since it's only 6 more months of college, technically. He also is currently, as he described it to me, in his "hoe phase but in spurts only", so there's that. I don't know what to do. Is he into me? Should I move on? Are we just friends? Apart from that, I also have 0 confidence in myself and I don't know if I can say that he's into me for ME or the possibility of sex and now I am so confused. Pls help
