I don’t k ow if this falls under anxiety/depression or not but here I go. So I know this might sound childish or whatever but I don’t care. I was invited to sleepover with a group of friends tonight but was later told there was no more room and now I hate myself because my brain is sitting there thinking “is it my fault?” “Am I even a friend? Or do I force myself in?” (There are a couple people like that in our friend group) “does he hate me and is just lying to make me feel better about it?” Why am I like this, he said he is having another one two weeks from now but did he say that to make me feel better and hopes I just forget?

Longtime lurker here. Making a throwaway account because I don't fancy an overlap between my interest in streamers and my other fandoms lol.
But I just wanted to get this off my chest...WHY do people keep up with/follow/tweet about/etc. people they don't like?
Personally, I don't like Quackity. Even before I found myself disappointed with how he's handled the USMP/QSMP drama, his silence regarding threats his fans make towards those he at least once cared about, apathy towards racism concerns on his content, etc., I just didn't vibe with him. His humor isn't my style. I don't like the loud/screaming type of joking around (though I may be a hypocrite because I love George). And his content just isn't my thing for the most part.
So, following all that drama, I blocked him and his alt accounts on twitter, muted words & hashtags related to his content, and continue to block/mute those that exclusively talk about him or mostly talk about him.
And then moved on with life. Even besides Quackity, I have had my fair share of people/celebs I didn't like. So I adjusted my algorithm and moved on. I get that twitter is a...different breed, but I've been on it since 2015 and I just have never understood how people tweet about people they supposedly hate.
Like it's one thing to take a certain stance on a situation. Another to occasionally toss your two cents in during a random drama incident. But to constantly talk about, relate things back, or even have notifications on for someone you can't stand is so odd to me. Idk I know it's been a thing for the people of the internet to crusade against those that are polarizing or are seen as the "villain" in the life of someone they like (see recently Hailey Beiber) but I've just never understood it.
Even on the other end of things with fans constantly bringing up the bs haters will spew....like why ACTIVELY attract negativity into your day/life? Whether it's by tweeting about it or actively looking at things you know will upset you?
I know it can be hard, especially if you're the type to hyper-fixate. But if you're so full of hate for someone that you spend a lot of your free time keeping up with them for a chance to talk shit....maybe google some popular hobbies and pick a new one.

So, recently I signed up to get a job at a local fast food joint. I got the interview, and I’m 100% sure I’ll get the job since they’re pretty empty there anyways. My dad has his concerns like me eating unhealthy or my face breaking out because of the cooking oil …. But is overall glad I’m getting into the workforce. My mother on the other hand, seems irritated. I use my dad’s car to take my partner to work, and I’m going to be working with them so I don’t spend money on a lot of gas. But my mom always complains about how their dad needs to take them and how she’s the one always getting fucked over and paying for people. (My partner’s dad is homeless and works a construction job and doesn’t even own his own car) She paid $40 in gas yesterday, and now acts like she pays for me all the time and makes me feel like a burden when I’m reality it’s my dad who makes all the money and she does nothing. I don’t know what to think here. I’m getting a job so I can pay for my gas, and hopefully even get my own car. Why can’t she be happy for me ? I kid you not, when I told her about my interview she said something along the lines of “tell your dad. We get it, I understand, you have a job at ____” in a monotone voice. I’m not asking her to jump up and down with joy, but at least be glad I’m working somewhere and getting some kind of pay. She’s always been like this. She says it’s because “she’s German” but that’s fucking stupid.

Gaming pc, one to play minecraft at max render distance. 7 days to Die, Monster Hunter World, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring some day. I'm not worried about maxing resolution on these games per say, but I want to comfortable run them at 60fps, but also to in theory have chrome open in the background and listen to videos.

Gaming pc, one to play minecraft at max render distance. 7 days to Die, Monster Hunter World, Dark Souls 3, Elden Ring some day. hey, I just finished the anime and I am obsessed! I started to read the manga where the anime left off on mangadex, but I find some of the translations a bit hard to follow, specifically parts of the scene in Ren’s apartment during the Dark Moon rehearsal. I got the gist of it, but I went and looked at the vizmanga official translation to compare and it was a lot easier to comprehend, plus the scans were cleaner. So my question is, do the fan translations improve or do they stay about the same? I do eventually plan on purchasing the volumes on vizmanga to support the author, but i’m poor right now and craving more Skip Beat 😭😅

What's Going On? A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's The Plan? On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love. The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end.
What can you do?

This is my very first post here and I really hope that this is the right place. A few months ago, a friend told me and another friend about a dream he had, where he was sleeping and heard someone saying "Asmi Isma" and that made him wake up. As soon as he wake up (inside the dream) he said these words, and his mother passed out and went to the hospital, and as soon as he asked her about "Asmi Isma" she told him to NEVER say this again. So, he wakes up (outisde the dream) and tell that to my friend, who also says "Asmi Isma" and as soon as he says that, some things fell in his living room. So, a few days after that, he asked me to say that too, without telling me why, and as soon as I said that, the energy on the building flicked for about a second, then, he told me about this story, and since then we try to find any information about this. We know that this is about spiritism, and our friend's mother also does not want to EVER talk about that, and told us to stop overthinking about this.

I attempted suicide in 2018, which seems far away. For quite some time I was happy that I survived without major complications, which is more luck than anything else. I always feel that I have to validate the attempt, since I survived, but I was unconscious for some days and life was... strange when I had to return to it. So yeah, I guess it was a real attempt.
I don't know what to do. I want to end myself, but I don't want to put the pain on other people. [Insert paragraph about how there are people caring about me, and me not understanding why] I am in therapy. I took different anti-depressants. I do all the gratitude exercises and yes, I am privileged and should be thankful, that doesn't make it better, it makes it worse, because I feel ungrateful.
There is the conclusion that I do not want to die - I don't care about someone missing me or proving a point, I'm older than "13 reasons why" - I just want to un-exist. No pain for me, or for anyone. And that is something I cannot do, since there are people I could not hurt like this. I am sure that most people, most of my "friends" and most of my family would get over it within some time, but some might not. And it's not fair to them. I never asked for life, but I also can't give it away that easily? Or should I? Maybe nobody misses me and I overestimate my impact for those few people, and overall it would be okay to depart into nothingness?
And finally, the title of the post. I feel I need to tell someone, anyone, that I feel like this. Because currently, I talk to no one about the extent of my suicidal thoughts, my drinking and my crying. And I guess talking about it could be attention-seeking, but it could also be a cry for help. This setting is my idea of how Louisiana/New Orleans culture could evolve if it was allowed to make the most of its diverse origins. Optional further reading here and here. It's kinda an alternate history, but it might be a simulation or even a future setting. I keep it vague, because I like ambiguity.
My settings also draw a lot from the blues, jazz, rock and roll, oldies music in general, midcentury (1945-1970) pop culture and history, and voodoo/West African diaspora religion and philosophy. These are also cool things that draw from many different continents and that have a New Orleanian tinge to them. The themes you see of people with ancestry from different continents getting together and sharing their cultures are the same themes I see in the early years of jazz, blues, and rock and roll/soul music as well as in that of late colonial and early American New Orleans.
I try to stay away from the supernatural, although I have lots of folklore and cryptids. The most unrealistic part is that these places are accessible by boat, plane, or tunnel from either our world (January 2020 onward) or somewhere close enough to it. This includes some dystopian bad futures that draw even more from Transformers lore and fanfics than our own timeline does. (Shout out to the newest honorary Autobot, Boston's own Spot.)
People from our world are a major immigration source, and also provide perspective and an excuse for any anachronisms that may sneak in. ("My son's babysitter came from a Transformers fanfic based in the 2020s, which is why we know what To Kill a Mockingbird is.") I often, but not always, have a final point of divergence around the time of Chuck Berry's arrest in December 1959. (I like dates and decade breaks.) However, anachronisms can sneak in, which is why migrants from January 2020 on are useful. People are speculating that evolution’s will tie to dark elixir. Well, I speculate it too and it ties into my evolution concept as well.
During a match a total of say 20 dark elixir will be slowly accumulated throughout the 3 min match. An extra 5 or 10 for example could be generated during overtime if it happens.
The evolution cards for this update are the skeletons, barbarians, firecracker and Royal giant. Their evolution could cost + 1-3 dark elixir than its normal elixir cost. Skeletons: 1 (2-4 dark elixir) Barbarians: 5 (6-8 dark elixir) Firecracker: 3 (4-6 dark elixir) Royal Giant: 6 (7-9 dark elixir)
Once the dark elixir bar is full to the dark elixir quotas mentioned above, the player can play the evolved card.
But, the player can wait a bit longer to build up one or two extra dark elixir to pay for a 4 dark elixir cost skeletons, 6 dark elixir cost firecracker or 9 dark elixir royal giant.
The more dark elixir cost the player spends to play an evolution card the stronger it’s evolution ability will be. For example for the evolution cards we’ve already seen and speculate what their evolution ability will do. It would look like this.
Skeletons: 2: every third hit would spawn a new skeleton 3: every second hit would spawn a new skeleton 4: every hit would spawn a new skeleton
Firecracker: 4: cracker projectile will drop its poison circle at its target. 5: 3 bits of the cracker shrapnel will drop is poison circle. 6: all shrapnel bits will drop its poison circle.
Barbarians: not really sure what it’s evolution ability is.
Royal Giant: we’ll figure what its evolved version is soon.
Extra details:
I was thinking that the more elixir you spend on the evolution card the more powerful it should be, but also should have drawbacks for balancing purposes. For costing more and being powerful but is countered more easily by the opposition or other drawbacks in its stats per say. Compared to the opposite costing less but harder to counter.
Making evolved cards have higher DE costs but lower stats may seem evolved cards are evolving backwards, but it’s just to make it fair and fun for everyone. It’s like a high risk high reward type of mechanic. I’ll let the comments discuss about this topic.
Obviously there would have to be a delay or playing limit on evolution’s so players won’t just wait until 20 dark elixir and then spam spend it all. I’ll just leave that to discussion as well.
Once a players dark elixir bar has generated 20 DE for example and maybe a bit more during overtime. That’s it for the match and once the player has spent all their dark elixir they can’t use evolved cards for the rest of the match.
Maybe dark elixir generated can be increased/sped up or more added per match but it could just be for challenges and other game modes.
You can only pay for an evolution card until you have enough dark elixir to pay for the cards dark elixir cost. Even if you have 0 normal elixir. You can play it’s evolved version. Just won’t pay for the normal elixir version of the card. Or the devolved version I’ll say.
If you’re at 11 dark elixir but want to spend the cheaper 6 dark elixir barbarians, you can by tapping on the card to toggle it’s 4 different costs. Then Drag and drop. It’s just so you’re not forced to pay for a 9 dark elixir cost royal giant when you don’t want to. You can also toggle to the normal elixir cost to pay for the normal elixir version of the card.
I know that there will probably be OP loopholes, exploits, questions and confusions about this idea. But I just don’t want evolved cards to be low skill and dominate when placed on the field. I want players to think and plan before playing the evolved card. With advantages and disadvantages of playing a more expensive DE card compared to a cheaper one. But let’s just get a discussion rolling.
Extra idea: depending on the 3 different DE costs on a card it’s an entirely different special ability. Example: Firecracker: 5 DE is it’s poison ability 6 DE could be a high damage big splash explosion ability.

During a match a total of say 20 dark elixir will be slowly accumulated throughout the 3 min match. An extra 5 or 10 for example could be generated during overtime if it happens.
The evolution cards for this update are the skeletons, barbarians, firecracker and Royal giant. Their evolution could cost + 1-3 dark elixir than its normal elixir cost. Skeletons: 1 (2-4 dark elixir) Barbarians: 5 (6-8 dark elixir) Firecracker: 3 (4-6 dark elixir) Royal Giant: 6 (7-9 dark elixir)
Once the dark elixir bar is full to the dark elixir quotas mentioned above, the player can play the evolved card.
But, the player can wait a bit longer to build up one or two extra dark elixir to pay for a 4 dark elixir cost skeletons, 6 dark elixir cost firecracker or 9 dark elixir royal giant.
The more dark elixir cost the player spends to play an evolution card the stronger it’s evolution ability will be. For example for the evolution cards we’ve already seen and speculate what their evolution ability will do. It would look like this.
Skeletons: 2: every third hit would spawn a new skeleton 3: every second hit would spawn a new skeleton 4: every hit would spawn a new skeleton
Firecracker: 4: cracker projectile will drop its poison circle at its target. 5: 3 bits of the cracker shrapnel will drop is poison circle. 6: all shrapnel bits will drop its poison circle.
Barbarians: not really sure what it’s evolution ability is.
Royal Giant: we’ll figure what its evolved version is soon.
Extra details:
I was thinking that the more elixir you spend on the evolution card the more powerful it should be, but also should have drawbacks for balancing purposes. For costing more and being powerful but is countered more easily by the opposition or other drawbacks in its stats per say. Compared to the opposite costing less but harder to counter.
Making evolved cards have higher DE costs but lower stats may seem evolved cards are evolving backwards, but it’s just to make it fair and fun for everyone. It’s like a high risk high reward type of mechanic. I’ll let the comments discuss about this topic.
Obviously there would have to be a delay or playing limit on evolution’s so players won’t just wait until 20 dark elixir and then spam spend it all. I’ll just leave that to discussion as well.
Once a players dark elixir bar has generated 20 DE for example and maybe a bit more during overtime. That’s it for the match and once the player has spent all their dark elixir they can’t use evolved cards for the rest of the match.
Maybe dark elixir generated can be increased/sped up or more added per match but it could just be for challenges and other game modes.
You can only pay for an evolution card until you have enough dark elixir to pay for the cards dark elixir cost. Even if you have 0 normal elixir. You can play it’s evolved version. Just won’t pay for the normal elixir version of the card. Or the devolved version I’ll say.
If you’re at 11 dark elixir but want to spend the cheaper 6 dark elixir barbarians, you can by tapping on the card to toggle it’s 4 different costs. Then Drag and drop. It’s just so you’re not forced to pay for a 9 dark elixir cost royal giant when you don’t want to. You can also toggle to the normal elixir cost to pay for the normal elixir version of the card.
I know that there will probably be OP loopholes, exploits, questions and confusions about this idea. But I just don’t want evolved cards to be low skill and dominate when placed on the field. I want players to think and plan before playing the evolved card. With advantages and disadvantages of playing a more expensive DE card compared to a cheaper one. But let’s just get a discussion rolling.
Extra idea: depending on the 3 different DE costs on a card it’s an entirely different special ability. Example: Firecracker: 5 DE is it’s poison ability 6 DE could be a high damage big splash explosion ability.

A few days ago some "kids" (late teens early twenties) came to my door selling magazines. They had a whole story about points and earning a trip that I didn't believe at all, but I just wanted them to go away so I ended up buying a magazine subscription. It was incredibly stupid and not at all like me, but I guess their tactics were successful - I was flustered and they took advantage of that. Yes, I should have just shut the door on them but I didn't. Let's move past that lol.
I paid with a check. My husband is FREAKING out that they will use that info to steal my identity and that I've made the biggest mistake ever. I acknowledge that it was dumb and I feel like an idiot, but am I really at risk of identity theft? Besides charging me way too much for a years worth of magazines, what are the consequences here?

So my girlfriend and I 1year is coming Up but I am not excited for it at all. The reason why is because this is my 3th relationship and my 3rd 1year anniversary. Idk how am I supposed to go about it because after a year the relationship would end(based of my past) what should I do? Should I tell her or just keep doing what I’m doing.
