We’ve been together for 4 years. Both late 20’s. Last year for her birthday I had planned a trip with her and our friends and arranged with the AirBnb host to decorate the place with birthday decor. I had also pre-ordered a custom cake that was decorated as a character that my gf really likes. The trip fell on a week after her birthday so on the day of her birthday all I did was prepare an at home kbbq and gave her a hand drawn birthday card. I also gave her many presents throughout the week. She ended up crying and asking where her surprise was. I apologized and said I didn’t have a surprise planned that day but I did have a surprise planned on her bday trip. She was still really upset that I didn’t at least get a cake on her birthday. I understand that’s where I fucked up and I apologized and said I’ll be sure to have a surprise and cake for her next year.
For her birthday this year, I’ve booked two massage appointments for her which she greatly enjoyed. And after her massages I would take her out for coffee or do some other activity together. For two weeks I would keep asking my gf if she would like to go shopping, go on a trip or do xyz. She would say yes or maybe and then she would change her mind because of how she’s feeling or how much homework she needs to get done. I told her I was planning on doing a specific thing for her for dinner that she had asked me to do before. She was really excited at my idea but then she booked a reservation at a restaurant instead.
I’ve had a lot of work to do recently and was overwhelmed. We’ve had discussions where she feels that I am not present enough when we spend quality time together because I am always stressing about work (I am the sole income and work full-time + freelance work). I decided to pull and all-nighter and get work done so I would be 100% present with her. I finished working around 5am, drew a birthday card, and decorated the living area with balloons and streamers. I’ve also pre-ordered a cake two weeks ago but it won’t be ready for pickup until 8pm. Gf was aware of this. I also made sure to sing her happy birthday at 12am like she asked me to. She seemed to really love the surprise in the morning. We got brunch with her mom and when we came back we took a nap together.
When we woke up from our nap, I could tell something was off with her. Then we talked and she said she was feeling underwhelmed with how her birthday turned out and wish I had put more effort in planning outdoor activities as she didn’t want to spend her birthday at home.
I am really bad at planning things but I am trying really hard to be better. I thought I had put more effort this year and listened to her needs from last year as well. But I still ended up disappointing my gf on her birthday again. I asked her if we could plan a day to go to a rooftop bar she’s been wanting to go to and she said it was too little, too late. From what I remember the main protagonist was a young boy who befriended a young girl at a private school. She had been like hiding in the walls of the school I think? The boy loved puzzles and that was the main focus of the movie I’m pretty sure. I can’t remember what happened to his parents. The movie had a focus on hot air balloons also. And the school that they were at ended up burning down like 40 minutes into the movie I think. It was a kids movie, but slightly darker IIRC. I remember watching it part of the way through a while ago. But I can’t remember the name. Please help.

Hi all, I am currently in hcmc and have visited a few bars and hookah lounges that sell balloons. I noticed that a lot of these venues would have actors in the background that will say certain phrases to make you feel like you’re hearing voices. I caught them in the act a few times and they would cough loudly to alert their coworkers. It was funny the first time but I’m not a fan of it. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? And does anyone have a recommendation for a lounge in hcmc that does not play these games?

The cost of the event will be influenced by the decoration style you choose. Compared to stage flower decoration, balloon decoration is less expensive.

I am on Concerta, duoloxitine, Rexulti, Clonazepam and blue and orange puffers. I’m sorry that I don’t have access to the exact doses of the medications right now, or the brand of the puffers. I haven’t used the puffers in a while.
Hopefully I’m doing this correctly, I’ve never done this before.
I started having mild vertigo about a week ago that would come and go. Today, I had an incident where I had almost a Tv static/VCR calibration effect over my vision, and 10 minutes later I had tinnitus in my left ear. Ever since then I’ve been extremely dizzy, like I’m a balloon tied to a boat on choppy water. Despite that, I went to work and while I was at my shift I was really struggling to understand what customers and coworkers were saying. A couple examples being, having an entire conversation about which sandwich I was ringing in and grabbing, and still ringing in and grabbing the wrong sandwich, and having to ask multiple times what a coworker was saying when he was asking me to do a simple task because I was having trouble processing his speech.When I stepped off the floor to try and collect myself my supervisor said I “looked pale” and should consider a trip to the ER.
I contacted an RN through my province and they also recommended that I go to the ER.
My blood pressure on arrival at the hospital was 174/106. They gave me a betahistine and said it was to bring down my blood pressure. They took blood work, a urine sample, and ecg. I was told that both the blood work and urine sample were normal, the ecg wasn’t mentioned, so I assume that was normal too. They dismissed me from the hospital with a blood pressure around 134/90 (I don’t remember the exact number I’m sorry.) the recommendation at the hospital was to take some gravol and follow up with my family doctor, “because being dizzy isn’t an emergency.” I’m still experiencing my symptoms. My ears were not checked, and there was no testing of my vertigo.
I’ve been under a decent amount of stress lately with work and gallbladder surgery recently. I’ve been experiencing a loss of appetite lately which I’ve been dismissing as a combination of stress and the Concerta.
There is a family history of high blood pressure, though I’ve generally never had issues with it. Both of my parents are diabetic. There is a history of strokes in the family but it’s two generations removed.
I haven’t started any medications lately. I haven’t done anything particularly out of the usual either.
Any tips on how to deal with the dizziness? Or ideas of what it might be? It’s really interfering with my ability to function. At times I’m even struggling to walk without a wall supporting me.

Why on earth do human beings possess an inexplicable, undeniable, and slightly peculiar affection for those colorful, buoyant orbs of joy we call balloons? I mean, seriously, what's the deal with these inflatable, rubbery contraptions that seemingly hold a spellbinding power over our hearts and minds?
Is it the way balloons audaciously defy gravity, bobbing around in mid-air like tiny, playful acrobats, as if they're trying to join a circus troupe?

I spent like 3 hours helping my friend with her math assignment. The assignment was to draw something using math on desmos.
Okay no biggie done that before. First she asked what picture she should do. I told her to pic a two dimensional photo with minimal shading or complex shapes. A couple minutes pass by and she sends me a 3D photograph of a hot air balloon. Well the shapes aren’t so bad, I tell her to include the original photo and draw over it to make more simple shapes to work with. Doesn’t listen to me and can’t draw accurate lines. Okay I’ll help you draw one line. One line turn into two then three then four and the next thing you know I’m using math she doesn’t understand. I slow down and explain it to her and she says “yeah I got it”.
I tell her to finish the drawing her self. I see her again and you know what? The drawing looks like shit and she used simple math that isn’t even applicable to the course. Why waste my free time if you weren’t going to use it?
I understand that she doesn’t need to take my help by why drag it on for literally HOURS???

Me (20F) and my fiancé (20M) have been together since freshman year of high school and honestly he's been my second longest friendship. And in the last year he's been urging me to get screened for autism. I'm on mobile and tired to none of this will make sense.
I've always been a weird kid. I've had an insane obsession with Harry potter since pretty much birth. My mom took me to all the movies as they came out and read the books to me instead of little kids books. I know the story inside and out, backwards and forwards. Hell, I've started read the novels in French now too. Birthdays were harry potter themed, Halloween, etc. All of it harry potter. (Im a ravenclaw). Anyway this obsession carries to this day and honestly I've always thought it was normal. Everybody has their thing.
Other than the weird harry potter crap, I always had trouble with social cues. I still don't really understand sarcasm and don't make faces at me because idk what they mean. Not to mention negation iwhen speaking. Half the time I couldn't really understand the difference between yes and no. Idk how to word it but sometimes the way someone would answer a question, I would not no what they meant. like no in agreement or disagreement? Idk it makes sense to me, but i know what I'm saying is just gibberish.
Besides the weird obsession, I was ahead of the other kids and socially awkward. I did not talk unless my life depended on it, and I would often get in trouble being in my own world. I was diagnosed with ADHD in high school, so I just wrote that off. I also stimmed a lot, and I got bullied for it. I would hum this low not that would tickle my brain, but drive everyone crazy. I flicked my two middle fingers and would twist my legs in all sorts of knots. And when my hair was long, I'd grab it and flap it against my ears. Let's just say I was like fresh meat for bullies. It got to the point were I wouldn't talk at all in middle school, and I would whisper my orders to my mom up until I was 16.
And textures and clothing, oh God the textures. You could not put me in a turtle neck ever. I also thought thus was normal. Turtle necks are ugly anyways. I can't wear flannel that's too tight, and I can't touch cardboard if my nails are too long. And the sound of teeth grinding, or wet rubber, or even touching of balloons send me. I would break down and cry and whenever someone asks me what's wrong all I can say is "Im out of words or I dont know" because in the moment it feels like everything is wrong.
All of this I thought was normal, or at least my ADHD, which my therapist recommended I try to manage it with caffeine in the morning. (if you dont want meds, trust me it works). Every so often I'd say or do something, and my fiancé would say, "i think you may have autism." or something along those lines. He's even picked up that when things get to crazy, he just stops talking and gives me my earbuds so I can drown things out. He even unplug the cat fountain and lowers the lights. I don't even ask, he just does it. And by God does it help. When it's warm, he suggests I go swing in my hammock chair and he'll send me with a blankie. (literally the love of my life). He sat down with me recently and strongly suggested I go get screened. Idk what benefit knowing would be or if it's something that I can get help for. or even if I need help. I don't have a primary care doctor, so I scheduled a new patient appointment online. In the notes, I mentioned a screening.
Any thoughts???? I really just think it's my ADHD but I could be wrong. I was also diagnosed with some other mental health issues, but I don't think it's relevant here. But I also know ADHD and autism go hand in hand, like depression and anxiety. You got one, you might also have the other. idk I'm just lost and mildly nervous about the whole thing.
EDIT: I also had a rigid schedule before I was old enough to work part time. If I didn't shower at 6 and go to bed at 9 or example, I would lose my sh*t

Are they just having fun editing? Are they showing off? Or is it meant to deceive people somehow? I've been seeing it more and more and I have no idea whatsoever why they're doing it. My instincts are telling me that this is some kind of abuse but I don't know what they're accomplishing.

Me and my friend have been arguing over this for a bit now. Both of us agree it’s not a huge deal but we also wanted to see what the internet thought.
So there’s these two paintings by Goya that are pretty iconic, La Maja Vestida and La Maja Desnuda. They’re ID the same woman in the same pose except one is clothed and one is naked. I think (tho I haven’t seen confirmation) that La Maja Desnuda was clearly painted without a real reference and was based off La Maja Vestida because I think the anatomy looks bad. Specifically, the boobs look really bad. La Maja Desnuda’s boobs are in the same place that they would be if she was wearing a corset (which she is in the other painting) but with no corset it looks rlly weird and unnatural to me. Boobs don’t sit like that, gravity still effects them and realistically her top boob would closer to the center of her chest and not be perfectly round and stiff (even the roundest boobs will turn more oval shaped when laying like that. They’re like full water balloons) The legs are also positioned slightly differently to give a more pronounced curve of the hips which makes the anatomy look a little weird to me as well.
I told my friend this (technically I said “La Maja Desnuda’s boobs look like they’ve been stuffed full of sawdust and super glued to her chest”) and then I said I hated the painting bc I couldn’t get past how weird the boobs looked. I don’t like how stiff and unnatural they look (I promise this is from an artistic perspective) and I think Goya has a lot more much better paintings. My friend said that it’s dumb to hate on such an iconic painting for a small reason, but I said thay her body is clearly the subject and not heavily stylized so the boobs should still be effected by gracity. There’s a stature of the painting outside of the museum so it started a whole new debate, which is why I’m posting here.
