Hi everyone,
On friday I came home from a 2 week stay at my girlfriends (we’re long distance) and it was great and i felt great.
In the plane I realized i had forgotten my house keys over there, so my girlfriend mailed it and i’m staying at my moms at the moment.
On saturday I did cocaine and i did quite a lot and that threw me in a complete spiral of depression and anxiety. For the longest time i have felt great and visiting my gf often and so on. She is now visiting family in another country and the time zones are 10 hours apart. We still call every day
I’m having trouble with my thoughts and the way i feel constantly. After the coke i felt guilty and depressed but knew it was gonna pass. It did pass but i’m left with lingering feelings like there is something wrong all the time and negative thoughts that i can’t shake. I try to distract myself with youtube videos and tiktok but they are still there constantly.
This leads to me being afraid of my own thoughts and my body feels tense and i cry. It happens at night but i can feel it coming throughout the day.
I’m kind of burdening my gf with it and now i feel bad bcus of that.
On top of all this i am in a bad financial situation and just got a new job.
Everything just feels so overwhelming and i’m scared i’ll never feel normal again. I feel stressed and my thoughts are there all the time. I think i need some reassurance i don’t know i’m just really sad and afraid i’ll feel this way forever

2023.06.10 02:30 amateurprincess I (20F) was approved for state insurance for my newborn (3 month) and then denied after the time period was up. Can I make a case?

This is a long one. I had my daughter this year in March and applied for our state insurance 3 days after she was born. After I called they deemed that we were eligible and sent me the application papers. My state is outdated and does most of their transactions through the mail while they fix their website, so it took about a two weeks to get to me.
I filled out the paperwork and sent it back to them, and they somehow lost my work verification paper. And so another 2 week time period of mailing went by. After many long phone calls, my daughter was officially approved in May and we were sent all the official insurance cards.
Here’s where I run into our problem, both the hospital that my daughter was born in and her pediatrician that she is seeing would pull up her information and it would show up as invalid/denied still.
It’s a pain to get ahold of the state insurance because it’s an automated system that allows you to leave a call back number, so they normally don’t call you back if their lines were busy that day. After a few more weeks go by I got ahold of somebody and they sent my insurance case to the main programmers of the state system to figure out the problem.
After a few days I was called and told that they fixed the problem, and to no surprise, it wasn’t. Now it was showing her as denied again. At this point we’re in the beginning of May with no answers. I was ripping my hair out with all the phone calls so I finally went to the official state insurance office on June 8th and was told that our household is over income for the month that she was born (March) which is when her medical bills were the most expensive obviously.
If they knew she was going to be over income in the beginning then why didn’t they inform me early on? Why is it that every time I called I was informed that we were “all good” and that she was within the income limits. I’m at a loss because I don’t have the money to pay her hospital bills and feel lied to over and over again. So do I have a case with only my phone records and insurance notices as receipts?

Hey, everyone.
So, I’m hosting a Fae themed Summer Solstice Party at the end of this month.
I really wanted to level up my elf character’s garb, and taking inspiration from Tolkien, I found this garment on Medieval Collectibles called “Wizard Robe & Cloak Set”.
I recently purchased them, both in white, so I could dye the robe a marigold color and have the white cloak over it, since my character’s aesthetic choices are very radiant and inspired by the Sun.
Now, I’m tall and not exactly thin. In the past when I’ve ordered clothes off the internet, they’ve often run small. So I thought “oh, 2X isn’t that much of a jump from my usual XL, so I’ll do that just in case, and if it’s too big, I’ll shrink it in the wash”.
Well, today, I received the items and excitedly opened them only to realize upon trying them on how insanely large they were for my body.
I understood this garment was supposed to be a bit flowy, but this seemed like it was meant to be a 5X when I ordered a 2X.
I reached out to their customer service, worried because again—I need this for an event that is very soon—and was told that processing returns can take up to 7-10 business days before they issue a refund or store credit.
Based on that, instead of ordering a smaller size, I opted for the refund.
I then remembered a robe I’d seen on Your Dress Maker that was more of what I originally wanted for my character, and when I went to check it out again, I saw that even with rush shipping via UPS Next Day Air, it would be about $60-70 cheaper than what I purchased through Medieval Collectibles.
I went ahead and purchased the different robe through YDM, and was charged for it, so hopefully it’ll be here by my event on the 27th.
Now, here are my concerns:
  1. Regarding my refund from MC, the only real itch is that I need that money by the 20th because I have a big bill that auto-withdraws that day. I’m going to mail the garments that didn’t work tomorrow, but I’m worried they’ll find something wrong with it like a single stray cat hair or something and won’t take it or give me my money back. What has y’all’s experiences been with their return/refund process?
  2. The YourDressMaker website on my phone gave me some weird error messages when trying to order, but it appears to have gone through, as it took the money from my account and PayPal emailed me a receipt from the transaction. Is this website legit and with the rush shipping using UPS Next Day Air should I get it in time for my event on the 27th?
Apologies for the long post, but thank you all for any insight you can provide!
Trying to breathe now and hoping this new garment will work out and that I’ll get my money back and on time.

Dropped off package at a blue mailbox. Item never got scanned into the USPS system. I found out the blue mailbox was vandalized and USPS couldn’t pick up mail because their key didn’t work. Many weeks later a contractor came and took the entire blue mailbox away along with all contents. My package still does not enter the system. Buyer wants a replacement or refund. What happens if the package does eventually show up? Is there any way for me not to lose money on this?

2023.06.10 01:56 tired_hedgehog Building Super Accusing Me of Theft

I’ve been living at my current apartment since 2021. Package theft is a very common issue in the city and a few months ago cameras were put up facing the mail room.
I had ordered multiple items from Amazon and two packages were marked as delivered yesterday. I went downstairs after work, found one of the packages, and came back upstairs. Then I checked the app again to confirm that the second much larger package is also marked at delivered.
Decided to go back downstairs to check again. Saw a large enough box that could be mine. There was another (very old) resident already there. I walked around him looked at the package and realized the top is already open (the tape across the top had come off). I panicked and thought it’s mine and someone stole stuff from it and poked a few fingers in. Before I could even see what’s in there I realized it’s not my package and hence backed off and went back upstairs. Contacted customer care, they said my second package is mistakenly marked as delivered. It’ll show up the next day aka today.
Today my super randomly shows up at my door saying he has me on camera stealing packages. It took me a few moments for me to realize what he was even referring to. I explained the whole thing to him but he kept insisting that he saw me “ripping open the package”. I’m tiny and have no upper body strength or nails so ripping anything is out of question for me unless I’ve scissors. He said he’s considering calling the cops because yesterday’s incident means I’ve been stealing every missing package in the building.
I told him the package was already open he refused to believe me. I told him if he’s so sure that the package was sealed he should be able to see that I didn’t even take anything. And why would anyone steal with a witness (the very old resident) right next to them?
I contacted a lawyer and he asked if I wanted to do something preemptively. He said he could send letter to the super and contact the NYPD before any charges are filed (if ever) on my behalf. I’m very tempted to do that but I’m scared it might make matters worse somehow.
He has always been very passive aggressive/mean towards me but I never imagined he’d threaten to slap a criminal charge against me. I don’t know if he’s picking on me just because I’m a tiny woman of color living alone.
Can someone please explain how likely is it that a criminal charge will be filed against me?

2023.06.10 01:43 tired_hedgehog Building Super Accusing Me of Theft (NYC)

I’ve been living at my current apartment since 2021. Package theft is a very common issue in the city and a few months ago cameras were put up facing the mail room.
I had ordered multiple items from Amazon and two packages were marked as delivered yesterday. I went downstairs after work, found one of the packages, and came back upstairs. Then I checked the app again to confirm that the second much larger package is also marked at delivered.
Decided to go back downstairs to check again. Saw a large enough box that could be mine. There was another (very old) resident already there. I walked around him looked at the package and realized the top is already open (the tape across the top had come off). I panicked and thought it’s mine and someone stole stuff from it and poked a few fingers in. Before I could even see what’s in there I realized it’s not my package and hence backed off and went back upstairs. Contacted customer care, they said my second package is mistakenly marked as delivered. It’ll show up the next day aka today.
Today my super randomly shows up at my door saying he has me on camera stealing packages. It took me a few moments for me to realize what he was even referring to. I explained the whole thing to him but he kept insisting that he saw me “ripping open the package”. I’m tiny and have no upper body strength or nails so ripping anything is out of question for me unless I’ve scissors. He said he’s considering calling the cops because yesterday’s incident means I’ve been stealing every missing package in the building.
I told him the package was already open he refused to believe me. I told him if he’s so sure that the package was sealed he should be able to see that I didn’t even take anything. And why would anyone steal with a witness (the very old resident) right next to them?
I contacted a lawyer and he asked if I wanted to do something preemptively. He said he could send letter to the super and contact the NYPD before any charges are filed (if ever) on my behalf. I’m very tempted to do that but I’m scared it might make matters worse somehow.
He has always been very passive aggressive/mean towards me but I never imagined he’d threaten to slap a criminal charge against me. I don’t know if he’s picking on me just because I’m a tiny woman of color living alone.
Can someone please explain how likely is it that a criminal charge will be filed against me?

Meghan McCain, former co-host of The View and current Daily Mail columnist, wrote that she can feel the turmoil over Donald Trump‘s “terrifying” criminal indictment “in the pit of my stomach.”
McCain’s Friday column came under the heading, “The federal indictment of a president is a shattering and seismic moment – but unlike grave crises that brought us together, this will rip us apart. And it’s terrifying.”
McCain gave examples of momentous historical events that caused Americans to band together.
Richard Nixon‘s resignation showed the country that their president was, in fact, a crook. The September 11th attacks revealed our powerful nation to be incredibly vulnerable. The January 6th riots exposed the gaping rifts that had torn open between us all.
“But in these instances, a great majority of Americans rallied together and recognized common cause.” McCain insinuated that there is no common cause in Trump’s case.

Some context I (f 20s) live in an incredibly rural/mountainous/forested area in the PNW. My house is one of three on a large property, you can not see your neighbors, it’s 15 minutes down a dirt road.
Yesterday my landlord (who lives on the property) showed me a picture of a bear in his yard and today at the little store down the road the clerk told me she saw a mountain lion on the property this morning.
So I am in my little house with a big sliding glass door and see movement of something pretty large (bigger than a cat/dog) and I just screamed and jumped around the corner. I peaked out the window to see my landlords (10ish?) son running away in terror.
I was wearing a big t-shirt and little shorts so I didn’t run out to say sorry because honestly, I didn’t feel like my clothes were appropriate. I’m just lounging in my house.
I texted my landlord and apologized profusely, I think he finds it funny and said he was dropping off some of my mail. But I’m so embarrassed and guilty all at once. The poor kid, he’s never going to come over again.

Essentially, I regrettably parked my car in a bus loading zone as I was delivering for Uber Eats. I was having trouble finding parking and thought it would be quick, and tried to leave a lot of space for busses, but I understand I should not excuse it, my mistake again I acknowledge it.
A man in a vest who was on the phone looking at my license plate came up to me as I came back to my car and told me a ticket would be coming in the mail. He kind of walked off before I could ask for more information.
Is it possible anyone may have information on how much the ticket could be? I couldn’t find a specific number online.

In order to protect our community from the release of non-consensual personal information, as well as to avoid witch-hunts from all sides, we have removed reference to this release of information from Superstonk and will continue to do so.
In fact, there is evidence that those responsible for this breach of trust and violation of privacy in sharing private data from the Computershare ledger likely violated Federal Regulations.

What are the Potential and Actual Ramifications?

As a mod team, we want to be as clear as possible, and for once, I’m taking off the gloves and the mod hat, and speaking bluntly to this community:

To those who released this information, this was profoundly stupid. If you are intending to act in ways that are pro-GME, you have missed the mark here.

At this point, we need to take a moment and encourage all members of the sub to be aware of how information from the DRS ledger for GameStop *could* be weaponized now that it has been leaked. It has been proven that there are parties who have viewed the names on the ledger who are willing to look up people by name, and report out the status of their investments without their permission. This includes people who have purple circles but have made the personal choice not to post them. The bot matters - but the ledger matters more. It’s not a stretch to believe that they could, theoretically, cross reference DRS posts made on Reddit (which contain user names) with actual names on the ledger based on share counts reported. If you have a random number of shares that nobody else does, congratulations, you can now potentially be identified by this group of GME investors willing to publicly share your personal information, which includes your name, address and position. If/when the time ever comes to sell, information about how many shares you sold can now be tracked. That’s nobody’s business, unless you *want* it to be. For some people, this doesn't matter. So what? They're proudly invested and not afraid to have their names publicly tied to that investment. For others, they are more cautious. They are concerned about personal safety, or their family/friends knowing personal financial information. It is unfair to take away the autonomy of the individual to control how much information is made public without their consent.
At this time, we have no way to confirm which names they have seen and retained, or if they captured personal information in contradiction of Gamestop’s policies. It is apparent that they spent a great deal of time and effort looking for specific names, and then making public comments about their findings. We can't say with any certainty who they are and are not aware of, which positions they know, or what information they have retained.
There is a very good reason Gamestop corporate insists on not allowing people to record the names of its shareholders when viewing the ledger: to avoid situations exactly like this. People have abused this access to confidential information and are now weaponizing it to further their own agenda. This is a really bad look for the GME community and should be shunned.
It is incredibly troubling that several individuals very publicly decided that their agenda outweighed the rights of members of our community, namely privacy and the ability to consent to the public revelation of their private information. The fact that this breach of trust came from within our Reddit community is not only disappointing but dangerous. We’ve already seen that this “project” has resulted in bullying and harassment of community members both on Superstonk and elsewhere. Some of these folks are simply “unverified” as having DRS’d their shares because their names or LLC names were unknown. We’ve already received confirmation from members of this community who are so rattled about having their personal information out there being cross-referenced and released that they are actually UN-DRSing their shares.
Beyond the legal entanglements they created for the GME community, they violated people’s privacy. They suggested that people weren’t conclusively DRSd to damage the reputation of this mod team. They suggested that other people who have been active in the community were not DRSd because they could not find them on the ledger. There are *any* number of reasons for this that aren’t sinister. For instance, they don’t know the names of the mod team, and as such would not know where to look. People hodl through spouses and LLCs. But the subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) suggestions that people were lying about their DRS positions kicked off micro-aggressions and witchhunts and finger pointing, causing genuine rifts between community members based purely on superficial interpretations of anecdotal information.

Moving Forward

As a moderator team, we have no tolerance for anyone who is revealing the personal information of others on the sub without their express and enthusiastic consent. Anyone found to break this policy will be banned immediately. We will also fully support and cooperate with any further investigations that may result from these actions, including legal ones. No one has a right to your personal information. No one has a right to try to leverage that information to try to force you to make any sort of financial decisions. There is *NO WRONG WAY TO HOLD THIS STOCK*. Coercion and threats will not be tolerated, including and especially when they utilize privileged (potentially legally barred) information in order to try to achieve their objectives.
Your financial decisions are your own. Your personal information is your own. No one has a right to demand proof of anything from you here with regards to your identity or investment. If anyone is making such requests, report them and their comments immediately. We’re *done* with the gatekeeping and purity tests. You like book? Book ‘em. You like DRS? Do it. You like your broker? I wouldn’t… but I’m not you. Let’s unite around love of the stonk, and not around the rallying cry of a fractionalized subgroup playing “holier than thou.”
No one can be required to be publicly accountable for their personal finances and decisions. Zealotry will not be tolerated. We will not allow "Inquisition-style" tactics to be employed to execute witch hunts against members of our community for the way they invest. Anyone making calls for this will also be banned. This mod team is absolutely supportive of DRS and believes it to be the way. I'm on public record time and again saying that I think DRS will be the key differentiator for the success of GME. When the dust settles, they will not talk about Superstonk. They will talk about how a bunch of idiots found DRS and owned the company they loved in their own name. That is my belief, and it is shared by the mods on this team. However, this tent is big enough for everyone, including people who do not have a single share in DRS.
Our community is and will always be a collection of individual investors who have done their due diligence in order to make their own financial decisions for their own best interests. Anyone making calls that your private information should be made public without your knowledge and consent as some sort of “proof” of your legitimacy within this community is wrong and is grossly against the principles upon which Superstonk was founded.
Please report any instance of this behavior you see, and do what you feel is necessary to ensure your own safety and privacy. Remember that we are here to love the stonk, respect each other, and try to build a better world for people. That means that the basic rules of consent, honest/fair dealings, and integrity do matter.
There are people out there saying “Changing the world is what is at stake.” That’s a noble sentiment. But if you have to break the law to get there, then we’re no better than the people we’re currently up against.

Why you haven’t gotten a restraining order on me already. I have literally stalked you. Sent over like 400 emails. I don’t know what else I have done over text. You have grounds. Are you waiting for me to commit a felony? I don’t understand what your goal is here. I’m truly something fucking else. I know I’m insane and nuts. No I don’t like being this way. I wish I could press a button and turn it off but I can’t because you played with fire and got burned quite literally. I sent you literally mail. I’m pretty sure you got the card by now. I’m left confused. Really fucking confused. Baffled and confused. I mean physically at this point I’m not in control of this situation at all. I can’t come to sea world if I wanted to.
